Oh Steve I didn’t know you had your own C64 channel! Fantastic. At the age of 8 these were just very peculiar surroundings and imaginative imagery, but now it all makes sense. He avoids the barrel of beer, he avoids getting cut shaving (razorblade), as he progresses through his studies, avoiding the temptations of evil, to the chapel from where he, like Prometheus himself, ascends to steal the living fire right under the devil’s nose. And so on. Brilliant, brilliant game, this I’d die to get back to.
the "Star Drive" room brought me here, I'm totally stuck in there, no cheats can help, so I wanted to see if it's possible to exit that cursed room. :D
The theme is "Spanish Romance" (a.k.a. "Gonzales Romance"). May be this will help others (as I've been trying to find the name of the melody for quite some time)
@@Emulous79 I found it (around 01:37:30 in the movie), but it is not the same tune, it looks like. The way it is played is identical to the way Spanish Romance is usually played (first string leads, strings two and three are played open), true, but the leading melody (not sure the correct term) is definitely different.
In the Off License (room) in the east side, do you have to switch ON the button ? Or is it a trap ? I don't know why but this game was the top of our childhood ! I was 7-8 old ! The Italian name of this game was " Ponzie " for c64 " or " Nick Pick " for c16 ❤
This game and it´s music had been the soundtrack of my childhood. I love it. Thanks for uploding and thanks for not muting the game!
THE SAME.
Loved my c64
So much memories ....80`s :( Feels like to cry
Yeah, I had some fun with this one back in the day.
This was a big game for me and my bro in the 80s always striving to get to that next weird screen , A simpler time now long gone .

Where is it on here again?
Matthew Smith : " Metroidvania you say ? Hold my beer....and my joint, and my LSD paper and my straw and........"

Wasn't it also in Dawn of the Dead 1978? The bit where Fly-boy keeps switching the TV back on after Fran turns it off.

On, I think. Bizarre game.
Not a bad hack, but the music is something else...
I'm sure it's based on a classic theme.
It is called Romanza, it is a traditional Spanish piece usually performed on a guitar @@Emulous79
Pretty cool hack, but...that music....
What is the song?
The in-game one is called "Romance" so I was told some time back...
Yup, it’s actually a song called “Romanza” sped up 2x.
In Italy this song has the name of
" giochi proibiti "
Romanza.
There are a few good versions on UA-cam
I have no idea why people loved to torture themselves with this game. And I did play this when it came out - got bored of it after three screens :)
Oh, utter respect for going through the whole thing though!
I guess I got hooked on this as a kid. Put it to rest now.
