  • The last minute of a great series. Tim Duncan (24 pts, 12rebs) and the Spurs held on till the final minute, but Lebron James (37 pts, 12rebs) finally sealed the win for the Heat with a jump shot. Great performances by Dwyane Wade (23 pts, 10 rebs) for the Heat and Kawhi Leonard (19 pts, 16 rebs) for the Spurs

      That was before he went back to the Cleveland Cavaliers and became a straight up prick for the rest of his career. I wish he would've rode his career out with the Heat because that was when he was a classy player and he has respect for the league. Plus, he never bullied the opposing players just because he was bigger back then, either.

    The only thing the haters seem to remember about this series is that LeBron got "bailed" out by Ray Allen. They don't talk about LeBron's triple double in game 6, or his record tying 37 points in game 7, they only mention Ray Allen "bailing" him out. People like Skip Bayless think that clutch means the last 30 seconds of a game or buzzer beaters but that's wrong. It doesn't get any more clutch than game 7 of the NBA finals, or game 6 if your team is down in the series. I'm not a fan nor a hater of LeBron, I can just show respect when I see greatness.

    • @alib6936

      Kobe game 7 in the finals 6/24 = clutch

You could probably put together a 7 minute UA-cam career highlight video of Duncan shuffling his feet and traveling, line driving it off the the rim, going 0fer at the line, etc on possessions where you really have to nut up in close games. Don't get me wrong, 1st ballot HOFer, probably the best PF of all time, the main reason for the San Antonio dynasty. Not a clutch player though.

Why even make the statement that he's clutch if the way you respond is by mentioning an obvious fact that he has teammates? Jordan and Bryant had teammates too, and they're clutch players. Lebron obviously isn't clutch if he almost lost game 6 with his missed threes and turnovers in the final minutes. Having clutch teammates doesn't make you clutch, fucking idiot.

      One shot and a few free throws don't make you a clutch player, I'm sorry. He closed the game out, but didn't do so the game before. Can't be considered clutch if you only do it once in 2 games in my opinion.

    • @AD34022

      Lebron did help in game 6 he cut down the lead to 2 with a huge three without his three they would have went home. And are you forgetting that heat were down 10 entering the fourth quarter? James got em into it so he was the central piece of their offense. One game with some turnovers and missed shots does not define a player.

    • @crazylegs1324
      @crazylegs1324 8 років тому

      When your up 90-88 and take a shot with 31 seconds left there is some pressure but not much. When it's tied 90-90 and you take a shot to go for the lead there is a monumental amount of pressure especially in the final minute of a game 7. And he wouldn't have taken that shot. If it had been tied the spurs would have gotten set on defense and LeBron wouldn't have gotten that open shot. One play, one make, or one miss can completely change the outcome. If Marco Bellinelli hadn't hit that 3 in the 3rd qtr of game 3 of the 2014 nba finals to put the spurs back up 10 in the midst of that heat run it would have at least been a tight game down the stretch and since miami was at home they probably would have won.

    Mike Breen’s voice is already so intense at the start of this video. The game was that intense. No team could pull away until Duncan’s miss here. One of the best series of all time.

      he was wide open. Spurs used the wrong strategy that year. they gave him space daring him to shoot because he is so difficult to guard. I don't consider that a clutch shot. it would be a better shot if there was hard defense on him.

    • @razkable
      @razkable 5 років тому

      I mean they were up so little pressure...but had he missed they could of lost ..It ended the game so early I guess..had the spurs made the next shot it would matter more as the game would end under 5 points...

    Even though the Spurs got revenge in 2014, it still doesn’t feel right. Like, they proved they were better than the Heat, but it still didn’t feel right. Because when the Spurs beat the Heat in 2014, it was so great obvious that it would happen that it took away from the excitement. When the heat beat the Spurs though, the Spurs were so close and then got their hearts ripped out in games 6 and 7. I won’t feel like the Spurs got TOTAL revenge until they do the same thing to the Heat and show them what it felt like to them in game 6 and 7.

    This was the greatest NBA Finals of all time. Been a Heat fan since '03, when they drafted D-Wade. For ten years I was trying to sell this matchup to all kinds of fans (It almost happened twice before in both 2005 and 2012, with each team who did get in winning the chip both times). I knew a long time ago a Heat-Spurs NBA Finals would go down to the wire. Thank god for home court advantage:)
