At 10:09 in the background, we thought Taylor would swing by us next, so we just decided to be goofy. It was end of Day 2 and we were exhausted lol
The recycled Surfboards is a very cool idea, could you follow up on the custom printers they are using ?
There basically VERY tallboi v2.4`s, large X and Z, minimal Y
I want to See that machine or a time lapse of one of those Surfboards.
Came here to see if we can get some follow up on those printers too
@@edrompa would be cool to, dont get me wrong, but there facility is back in Cali, and I am on the other side of the continent in another country
Also end up smiling when Mitch is interviewed
I’d already consider a 35 pound backpack decently heavy, more than I’ve ever backpack hiked with, but like there’s also a lot of leverage from it sticking out so far.
Those surfboards are cool, bonus points its printed on a Voron based machine.
iTS ALL RECYCLED PLASTIC. love that.
wonder if its 100% recycled or 30% recycled (the latter is the norm because they often have to add virgin stock or you get layer adhesion issues without a mix of fresh).
I want to see the voron they printed it on. I wonder if the call it taaaaaaaaaaall boy.
I am kinda shock the backpack printer is that light too. I was thinking it would be 40 to 50 lbs /w batteries.
LEDs make the boards go faster
Great video, as always. The reason I subscribed.
If you don’t mind a technical question… First, I’m new to 3D printing but not without mechanical aptitude. I got an OG Ender 3 , printed some stuff, and started upgrading. I just put a glass Bed “Creality” brand. Since the swap, nothing sticks without an adhesion helper. Curious, I pointed my thermal camera at it and the bed surface is 10degC cooler than indicated.
Do I need to get something equivalent to thermal paste? I’m trying to let it hot soak, but not looking promising. I’m using Marlin, soon to switch to Klipper, is there something in firmware to indicate a specific bed material? Any thoughts or ideas will be greatly appreciated! Thanks- Jason Burchell
