    Now there's a lovely little option for a tripod. To be honest though, I usually end up tripping over it no matter how hard I try to dance around its setup! lol I do like the feature where the legs lie right out flat...haven't really seen that before! Cool!

      Thanks for watching Bruce, the way the legs fold out independently means no matter where you are you can always have three points of contact even if there is something like a rock or a tree stump in the way.

    This genuinely looks a lot better than my current one especially for the price it is very tall. Compacts down a lot. Looks good to me Andy 😊 nice photos too

      Thanks for watching Yasmin. It was much better than I expected and has probably regulated my big tripod to being used for videoing in the office. The travel tripod I normally take with me is also longer when folded so that too will probably stay at home in future.

    Hi Andy
    Fantastic product review
    Great points are taken from your perspective as photograper
    Indeed, K7S mentioned the price of the tripods are getting higher
    I don't like it weightless, but sturdy and heavy enough to stand still in the light winds
    well done, Andrew!
    It is very helpful to watch before making decision to purchase

      Thanks for watching.I think the price of lots of photography equipment is on the rise, but there are still a few companies out there providing good value.

    Thanks for this review Andy, it certainly seems like a versatile bit of kit. I have been looking for a light weight travel tripod and this could be the one. I have purchased K&F gear before and the backpack is of excellent quality so this supplier does seem to be a good one for the budget conscious photographer. Great photos again, with those focus-stacked close-ups being particularly impressive.

      Thanks again for watching Dennis. The tripod was very good for the price. Sure, there are lighter carbon fibre models in their range, but they do cost more. The discount code (in the description) does apply to anything in their range. I hope you're having a great week. 👍

    Great review Andy! We have broken so many cameras due to dodgy tripods! This looks a good one! Great shots! You were in a forest but close to the coast we could hear the seagulls 😂 love how low and flat the legs go! Wow superb image on image! Will check the website out! 👍❤️

      Hi Nick and Jill. The lakes are about six miles inland of the coast, so the gulls do turn out in force. Check out the website, Kentfaith do lots of items for videography as well as photography.

    Good review Andrew. Looks decent for the price. It definitely goes higher than the one I reviewed and the one problem with that one was that the central column would accidentally pull all the way through and detach from the legs. Might be why this one has a fixed central column.

    • @AndrewWaltonPhotography
      @AndrewWaltonPhotography  5 місяців тому

      Thanks for watching Robert. I was impressed with the build of this particular tripod, given that a few folks (Dave L in particular) had some issues with their more expensive K&F products. My other tripod has a removable centre column, so you can reverse it for really low angle images, but you have to do that intentionally. 😉

    Nice to see a proper tripod review.
    I saw this one and thought I might invest (as it looks like the least OTT and lightweight available). But... That centre moulding where the pole slides in and out - Is that metal or plastic? - I've seen other tripods where this part has flexed, something that would put me off!
    I much prefer the two part extending legs,I'm pretty sure that must help with stability!

    • @AndrewWaltonPhotography
      @AndrewWaltonPhotography  Місяць тому

      @tompeddle hi Tom the centre moulding is indeed plastic. I guess given the price of the tripod, some sacrifices needed to be made. They do offer some more expensive carbon fibre travel tripods in their range.

    Great tripod. I’m toying with the idea as I have a smaller portable one I use regularly.
    Loved the Macro photos 👌❤️

      Cheers, Phil, the TG-6 is great for macro, one of the reasons I got it. If you fancy a K&F tripod, the discount code works off anything on their website, including filters and camera bags.

    Hi Andy, this was a nice tripod and like you say very light. Liked how it extended out, definitely looked sturdy. Loved your photo footage, A great review , thank you for sharing , Julie x

      @AndrewWaltonPhotography  6 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for watching Julie, it was a pleasantly surprising tripod, I did think it may be not too good because of the price but it was really sturdy. It would be ideal for your go pro when you do any timelapses etc.

    Excellent review. I worried that it may be a bit top heavy with the rigid centre post but you took it out on a windy day and dispelled my fears. Where do I sign? Keith

    • @AndrewWaltonPhotography
      @AndrewWaltonPhotography  6 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for watching Keith, I was genuinely impressed with how stable it was. The one that blew over was much lighter weight, but the K&F didn't move at all.

    Sounds and looks like a good tripod. I do like the way the legs go down flat. I wonder can the ball head take my old d7000 with an 18-300mm lens on it. My vangard tripod sometimes slowly dips down.

    • @AndrewWaltonPhotography
      @AndrewWaltonPhotography  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi Paul, It does feel quite sturdy. Certainly, I thought it wouldn't be the case with it being a travel tripod. The ball head isn't the largest I've ever seen on a tripod, but I guess there is only one way to find out. It seems fine with my D3300.

    Hey mate, just a note, your link goes through to the US site not the UK one. May be worth asking them for a UK based link? Not a criticism, just clicked through to have a little peek and thought I'd mention. Sure you're already aware though :)

    Why you provide Allen key?

    • @AndrewWaltonPhotography
      @AndrewWaltonPhotography  2 місяці тому

      The Allen keys are there to tighten the fittings on the tripod legs. So far, I haven't needed to use them.
