If you were friends for 5 years, that was probably the space you were comfortable in. So you’re processing the loss of possibility, not the loss of reality. 🤯 To have Pastor Erwin as a mentor/Dad would have made the greatest difference through all of my young adult years and even now. ❤️ And I love the twinsies vibe today! Thank you also for your openness and vulnerability Aaron.
OK this conversation hit right at home. I am aware about most of the things that have been discussed on this podcast . And I have for years drowned myself on work, school and being busy trying to fix anything that's broken. And that made me to pride myself with being the single lady for over 5years and acted as if I am content about it. @Erwin thank you for your wisdom, even though am beating myself about alot right now and Aaron thank you for your transparency.
@@aaroncmcmanus - I realize my initial comment was ambiguous (my bad :-D). What I meant to say was that "the topic" was what we were waiting for. A discussion on the pains and joys of romantic relationships. Thank you for so vulnerably sharing your personal experience with us, your audience. The conversation you and your dad had was so insightful!!
I did take efforts last fall due to your talks about relationships, trying to push myself to get out there. I did for a while but then I've gone backwards, so this talk came well in time. Appreciate it 🙏🏻.
I can relate to so much in this episode... Thank you for being open and honest! For me my burn-out became my blessing, even if it didn't feel so at the time... but it got me facing most of theses issues. But on how I react to this and previous episode on fear, shows me that there is still things to work on... Thank you for bringing that to me, so that I can become a better person. And if you need some time of Aaron, take it... we are enough true fans to stick around even if we be without the pod for a month or two.
I think even just the first 15 minutes were so helpful for me, with where I'm at - had a history of fear of rejection and although it's much better, I still so resonated with the dating/friendship conversation btwn you two! Thank you so much for this!!
ok this podcast was insanely good. i felt like literally a fly on the wall in a intimate, personal convo with you and your dad. you didn't have to post this, but you did. thank you!
Something I meant to include earlier: Happy Belated Birthday Aaron!!😁🎉 Thanks so much for all you contribute here! Also, I find it hard to believe that people find it hard to believe you were the leader at Mosaic Venice...I have zero doubts that you were awesome over there! No one can take that away from you; that experience will for sure come in handy for whatever else you decide to do as well! (I also left a podcast review fyi lol) Cheers & God bless!!💯💯💯
Hey y’all! This whole thing about your Venice Campus “not being a thing anymore” really resonates with me. My church, Hillsong Connecticut, has been going through sort of the same thing. Would love some encouragement and prayer
I’m from CT and know the Hillsong Campus. I live in LA and was a part of the Venice team. One thing P. Erwin said was we are not going back to the old Mosaic, we are moving into the future of the new Mosaic. CT is a tough place to build the church but know we move with the God of all creation. It’s ok to be bummed out but always be ready to move to the next place God has for you. Like creating a new CT campus or helping create a new campus located elsewhere. Praying for you and Hillsong CT. You got this my brother!
Much appreciated #RealTalk here gents!💯💯💯 I will say this about relationships too...it’s so important for all of us to be sure to communicate clearly...no one is a mind reader, no matter how perceptive or valuable a friend (or SO, family member, etc) they may be. I think lots of times things are assumed or taken for granted, tho not purposely. I think we all need to learn how to describe the “picture we see in our mind” out loud (others can’t see it unless we verbalize it!).
so much to say about this topic. I was listening to this podcast & scrolling through IG and came across a post that read, "stop trying to make the wrong person right for you." Receiving signs today from all over... 🥲
Hahaha, Aaron you crack me up every time. "I'm going to start with personal". Great choice man. Loving this.

"Don't fall in love with the idea of people, but see the people around you and love them for things that actually matter." SO GOOD🥺
Because people prefer to not have the consequence of the Choice being on them and in there lap.. love you guys and All you bring to the table.
The battle ready we've all been waiting for!!!

I’m also going through a similar situation as you Aaron this was extremely insightful and helpful
Very relatable, a lot to unpack
“How do you not miss the thing right in front of you” 😫🔥.. watching this knowing my situationship is missing whats in front of him.. 🤦🏻♀️
His dad is so wise
Fear--- F….. everything and run. Thought of this when Aaron said he just wanted to run.
Good episode today!
“It’s the loss of the possibility, not the loss of the reality.” Sheesh…
🙌
love u fellas
Aaron where ur shoes from homes?
I think they were either grey new balance 220’s or Cariumas ❤️🔥
Love
I so enjoy these conversations and I don't want to be unkind but Aaron looks like he hides behind his cap...
