That was the dream guitar I was gonna buy for myself. I saved for a long time to treat myself to this amazing and beautiful instrument and then sadly my dad got sick with cancer and unfortunately passed away. By the end he had so much financial burden due to the medical bills and bills he couldn’t afford that I had ti make the choice to spend all of my savings on his cremation and funeral. One day I will be a proud owner of this thing and it’s an amazing thing to look forward to ❤️
i was busy multitasking and i thought it was bass but not, so i checked the clip and wow. that's awesome guitar along with the awesome player in control.
love that ren and stimpy cha cha cha awesome guitar string sounds like there being plucked at the bridge subscriber RJ sleepwalk is awesome.I fell for the thunderbird s200 guild I love this airline I have a 70s strat and a martin from my pop a few more but years of collecting.love the blog playing cool as a beastie boy and so openminded .Peace.
Just found my new favorite guitar brand. Always loved the hiflyer phase 4 that Eastwood done for Kurt Cobain but I'm tripn bout them redoing the old airline brand.
I wasn't able to find the specs on the body width and am curious if anyone knows the general size of these? I'm a pretty little dude (5'5) and need to find something that wont dwarf me!
Used to drool over the pics of the Airline guitars in the old Montgomery Ward Catalogs, but always wondered if they were any good. I was just a kid with no money back then. Anyone out there own any of the originals with an opinion?
thinking about buying this guitar instead of the normal 59 3P dlx partly because I think my hand would hit all those knobs placed above the strings on the normal model. Does anyone know anything about this?
Hi there Jonathan! We've never heard complaints about this from people who've actually played a 3P DLX. Sure - quite a few people THINK, like you, that they'd hit the knobs... but this is not what the vast majority of players experience! However - the Ripley IS totally awesome... and those who use it certainly like the fact it has less knobs etc...
I have a '59 3P DLX (in Seafoam Green) with all the knobs. I was a bit concerned that hitting the knobs might be a problem, but they haven't been a problem for me at all. In fact, I like all the knobs and all the tonal flexibility they offer. Query... can all the same tonal flexibility the knobs offer be achieved on this new model without the knobs? If not, I'd be reluctant to give all that up, as a trade-off for adding built-in fx sounds that can probably be achieved on the DLX that has the knobs (and on one's other guitars as well) by using a pedal. (Maximum flexibility is good!) Just my $0.02. BTW, I too really enjoy RJR's demos - great chops!
Any idea why mine (brand new) seems to sound dead, like the tone is rolled all the way down when I don’t have the transwarp engaged? Did you have to eq your amp pretty bright?
Hi RJ.........just curious what guitars you play when you are not demoing Eastwood stuff? I picture you as a old school kind of guy....Strats and Les Pauls.........am I wrong? By the way.....if you were a chick...Id be in love with you...lol Love the way you play!!!
I keep going back to this one. He plays a guitar and people buy it, thinking they'll sound like him. I find it a big disappointment. I hate when that happens.

I don't even come here to see the Eastwood guitars anymore. I just come to watch RJ play...
+Jason Kan Exactly.
Still do
Same here...anytime I need some inspiration, or a new idea, no better person than RJ...
It's like Jack White's Airline combined with his Gretsch with the micro amp, so much want!!!
I approve of the pfp and I believe the Gravity Rush games are severely underrated.
this is the best sounding guitar ive ever heard.
Such a fine guitarist.
RJ must have one of the best jobs in the world!. Rock on.
RJ is a BEAST of a guitarist. Love when he demos these things.
I'm really not sure what is more versatile you or the guitar. Brilliant performance 😎🎸✅

great playing and the 3rd sounds impressive.
great sound and versatile also
These fuzz sounds are amazing indeed! Is this Transwarp a treble booster somehow related to a Dallas Rangemaster?

RJ the King!
Alright alright. Big fan of your playing man Thx

I see a Eastwood semi-acoustic bass in the background: any chance you'll demo that? (Pretty please!)
Fuzzy goodness!

Thanks for this video! Now that i know how it sounds, i can order one.
How long has RJ been in the music business? Does he tour?
Sounds Grate I want one
Great playin RJ!
Sounds Killer

Responding to a 3 year old comment, I know, but I did own an original for a short time. It was a pile of crap. XD
Thank you.
The fuzz tone at 1:19 oh my god yes
I need one ...excellent. .
Sooo. Transwarp drive sounds like its a series parallel switch.
What is the name of the first song ? GREAT playing !
I think Is thighten up of black keys
Can I get some info on the science behind the Transwarp system? Sounds sexy, but I really wanna know how you guys got it like that.
Hey there, the Transwarp Drive is essentially an on-board treble boost circuit. It's powered by a 9V in the back of the guitar
He seemed to be playing "el pibe de los astilleros" jaja
Venia a comentar los mismo
was cool with the distortion but the clean 5 way switch
got me. I may just get one instead of the New Setzer Hot Rod?
decisions.
this is just like a build in overdrive
Joe Bonamassa who ? Love RJ playing!
Virtuoso
can we get that kinf of sound with a Airline Jetsons JR. and a Hallmark Nu-Fuzz ? or the guitar mics are too different ?
sorry i'm not english native :p i mean pickups
Alright, that's a damn cool guitar.
maybe some rj will get his own signature model...
Have RJ ship me that damn guitar! 😄. What amp is he playing thru? Did i miss that detail?
Ooops sorry: Fender Bassman and Hallmark Nu-Fuzz pedal
R.J. Ronquillo the nu fuzz is uncredible ! love it !
Created for Ripley of wooden shjips

Not a dig, but I do find myself hitting the knobs above the pickups frequently when playing hard.
not as badly as with Les Pauls though I bet!
+snotmale There is no knob there to hit on a Les Paul. There's a toggle, but it's still far enough from the pickups.

Reminds me of Buster B. Jones. I got a gold 59 3p I will b this 👍 in 10 or 11 years.Im sure of it

yeah.
man I want one...how much and where do I get it???
Hi Blake, here's a link to the Ripley on our site: www.eastwoodguitars.com/airline-59-3p-ripley-custom-black/

I am guessing he is usong the Bassman head...
Dope ass guitar..... but he should have played it through a Marshall.
amigo...q pedal estas usando ahi?.................gracias
no usa pedal, la guitarra lleva un circuito de Overdrive (Transwarp Drive)

I like the guitar, but that Hallmark Nu-Fuzz pedal sounds like ass.
haha 4 lonely losers think this guitar sucks.
