Dear Jaden, don't be discouraged, all Christians in my experience at times in their lives have the feelings you are experiencing. I am 80 years old and have been a Christian since giving my heart to Jesus when I was a little girl. Still I have times of great joy and times when I feel far away from God and feel very aware of all my imperfections. But I know that Jesus will never let go of me or you, we belong to him . As the song says even if we don't feel it he is working. Don't forget there is someone who is the enemy, who is always working to bring us down. Hold fast Dear One, you are very blessed.
I’m 63 yrs old and both of my parents were atheist. Thankfully, my paternal grandma took me to church with her and I learned about Jesus from going to church. There were no Bibles in my house, but the church gave me a New Testament for Christmas and when I read the “red letters” that were the words of Jesus I felt Him like He was in the room with me. I asked Him to save me because I wanted to be with Him forever. My father has passed away still unbelieving and my mother believes in a vague pantheistic type of “god”. Jesus is so good and wise and kind. No one has ever loved me like Jesus and I’m looking forward to going Home to Heaven with Him soon. The biggest thing that we have to realize as Christians is that no matter what our “works”, we can never reach the perfection of God. Only He is perfect and anything we do is like “filthy rags”. Only God can save us from sin. When you feel overwhelmed, go to Jesus and talk it out.May you always be blessed and never stray from the Lord. God bless you!
Elijah suffered from anxiety and depression. God understands our weaknesses. He’ll see you through this. I recommend reading the Problem of Pain by CS Lewis. I finished reading recently and it really helped me in this valley I’m in right now. God bless you Jaiden.
As you grow as a follower of Christ you will have many ups and downs, and you will learn that you can trust God on the mountain tops and you can trust him even more in the valleys! Remember, when you're in one of those valleys that if you never had a problem, you would never learn that God can solve them. Soon you will learn what faith and God can do! Don't worry about being a perfect Christian, God uses people like Paul (formally Saul, who was persecuting Christians) to help further the gospel. God wants us to love people, to the extent that we want to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them! 💛😊💜✝️💙🙏🏻

Love to finally see this bro. In my journey you have given me some great guidance and study material. I’ll be praying for the redemption of your mental health. I’m sorry you are feeling this way, but you will be helping people with anxiety and depression while living in faith. God is preparing you. Just be still, keep praying, and keep the faith. You are gonna be ok brother. It’s ok to not feel it sometimes, but always turn to God! I was miraculously healed from PTSD from my career in law enforcement. He can do it! When the time is right🙏🏼. Jaiden, please be careful with therapy. Be careful who you choose and make sure they are a Christian. Please be careful if that person suggests medication. Turn to a trusted pastor or elder in your church because they have probably been through something similar to what you’re going through. I think you’re still dying to self and that’s HARD!!! The spiritual low you describe sounds like so many chapters of being an adult. Remember most of what causes anxiety is of this world. Trust God and do your part to be responsible, and everything sorts itself out. Life is so so unpredictable- I’ve had challenges I never anticipated. But now I look back and they make sense and yes they have made me a stronger Christian. Thank you for your content- it has helped me a lot in my own walk. God bless you!

I love how you came to Christ, alone....on your own....just you and Him. It was the same for me......I was extremely alone when I turned to God in the depths of my depression and despair. Like you said, I'd come to the end of myself and realised that nothing in the New-Age self-help mystical pseudo-spiritual world could ever give me the peace, joy, love and healing that I was seeking. I came to Christ just over a decade ago, and i have been struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD and more, ever since before, but my life has also been transformed, i was also a pothead for a looong time, He removed that and other things from me also, but i still struggle with worldly things. I believe we will always struggle with these things, until we get a glorified body. God bless.
Jaiden - I commented yesterday but have so much more to say to you as the Holy Spirit compels me. I pray first that this gets to you and is received in and through that same Spirit. First - others have commented here about the unusual (for you) objectionable language you sprinkled into your message. Please feel an outpouring of GRACE from those of us who recognize its use by you as not gratuitous but as part of your cry for brothers and sisters in the Lord to stand with you against Satan’s desires for you. This channel is a solid forum except that by its nature doesn’t develop a true DIALOGUE where, outside of these comments, iron sharpens iron. Second - you are on such an impressive, accelerated journey reminiscent/similar to what Saul/Paul experienced on that road. Jesus immediately put Paul in the path of believers (Barnabas, Titus, etc) because the consistent Bible message to followers of Christ is we are not expected to do this without leaning on the brotherhood of believers. I pray that God walks people into your personal life to be sources of God’s wisdom, grace and strength. Third - please be ever so careful about medicating your way through this spiritual trough. When you were without Jesus, you experimented with powerful, addictive substances that temporarily altered reality. I will begin a period of fasting and prayer for you to seek out human, spiritual intervention that will support you without medication (Paul was lifted up by God-honoring churches which fortified him when dealing with churches who had lost their Way). Fourth and final - you are God’s chosen vessel for this special ministry, evident from your humble desire (and success) at being light and salt and a seed scatterer. While you gather faithful Christian physical/personal support around you (the Church), great resources are John MacArthur, John Lennox, James Tour, Frank Turek, Stephen Meyer, Eric Metaxis to name a few. Be well and know God’s love, joy and peace surrounding you - He’s never far from us❤️

i experienced highs and lows soon after I was first saved. I realized that I had to get off this roller coaster if I was to get anywhere in my spiritual life. The solution for me was trusting in the sovereignty of God and applying 1 Thess. 5:18 "In everything give thanks." to my life. I thanked God for everything, both good and bad knowing that God allowed all things to work out for my good. This practice increased my faith in God and took me on a level path which I have been walking for over 50 Years.

With what you shared about your life - huge changes coming - there's no wonder you feel overwhelmed and anxious. It's pretty much expected :) Yes, spiritual highs and lows are very real too, but Jesus will get you through every battle! I urge you to do a lot of research, before you sign up for therapy. Especially if drugs are involved. Drugs don't heal, they only mask the symptoms, causing chemical imbalance and addiction. Dry dropping some stress factors for a time being - for example UA-camring. Concentrate on what's most important in this season (and remember, it's just a season!) - your wedding and your school. Fully trust our Saviour to bring you through. Every blessing, dear brother!
Jaiden, I started watching your videos shortly after I became a Christian. I was a Mormon for most of my childhood but did not really feel a connection with God and had not even read the Gospel! I was challenged in my religious beliefs by my crush when I was 16 around this time, and was encouraged to really seek out God. I had some testimony that he was real after one night I prayed at the invitation of some missionaries and received an emotional response, but I still didn't really have anything to go off of. Trying to read through the new testament came very difficultly to me, but your videos of evidences of God and the events of the resurrection, and your mini-testimonies and sprinklings of biblical mentions helped guide me through my journey to really putting my faith in Jesus. You've done me a great service, though of course I don't expect that knowledge to fix what is broken. Thank you for sharing your testimony, it was wonderful to listen to. I often feel lost despite the knowledge that my savior is with me, and often feel hopelessly stuck in sin. I don't have any bad advice to offer to you, but I will be praying with your name in mind. May you be confident and safe in the world as well as in the spirit.

Those are growing pains. Like lifting weight builds physical strength, learning to overcome adversity will make you stronger, but remember that our strength is in Him. Take up His yoke and learn of Him. I have faced similar issues, but God helped me to overcome. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee. He gives power, love and a sound mind.
It will be two years in January when I first came to Christ as well and I relate to a lot of what you shared. I’m also going through a spiritual low right now. I am beyond blessed and yet feel discontent at times. Nonetheless, your testimony has definitely blessed me and strengthened my faith. Jaiden, I thank God that you are sharing your testimony of how Jesus has saved and changed your life. And thank you for your honesty in sharing your struggles. I love what the Word says in the book of Revelation: "and they overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony." So my Brother in Christ, keep on sharing what God has done in your life. I perceive that you were a sincere person searching for the best life. Jesus never promised us an easy life but we don't have to live it alone. That's why we have the church , our brothers to support us. I am 87 but I love how God is raising up your generation to bring spiritual awakening to our country, particularly right now on college campuses. Another thing about your struggles, remember we all go through trials but when we go through the fire, He will be with us. As in Psalm 23, David said "even though we walk through the shadow of death, you my God are with me." He promises us that if we follow him, He will be with us to the ends of the world. I think it was Billy Graham who once said that for two weeks he felt nothing in his relation to God. Later when he looked back on that time in his life, he said that was when he walked by faith the most and not by feelings. One of my very favorite pod casters is Bryce Crawford. You may already know him. Please reach out to him. You two would just love each other. He once gave a quotation that has impacted my life. "Remember, emotions are good servants but they are not good masters." Emotions may come and go but the Word of God never changes and endures forever. You will always be the "apple of His eye." I am very impressed by your testimony and believe that God has given you a special gift to communicate the gospel to others. One more thing I am sensing. You may need to really kick back and just enjoy yourself by doing something you really love to do. I just love the man of God you already are! Yes, I have been praying for you today. I highly highly recommend that you get super plugged in your local church - a church that preaches sound biblical truth. More importantly, please find an elder or strong leader at your church let him disciple/mentor you. It will transform your life big time and strenthen your walk with Christ. As for the current struggles, though not easy, please keep your eyes on Jesus and don’t look away. Remember Peter, he kept walking on water until he looked away, and began to drawn. I have been mocked for my faith-for going way above and beyond just attending church-and for my anxiety. I mean greatly mocked. I’m learning to lift it up to save other souls. I’m learning we do t have to be perfect to be holy.

Hey Jaiden, Every time I watch one of your videos it is such a blessing to see the passion you have for Jesus. I grew up a christian but had a very difficult childhood filled with depression and anxiety. I really wrestled with going through suffering when I was a Christian. I recently realized it was the subtle influence of prosperity gospel that gave me the impression that life as a christian would be easy. But Jesus said In this life you will have trials and tribulations but take heart I overcame the world. It’s going to sound cliche and I hated when people said it to me. But its true that you reach a point where you see the struggle as a blessing because it fosters such a close dependence on God. Be careful with therapy, most of the treatment strategies they have for anxiety and depression is based on a naturalistic world view. I am praying for you
Thank you for your honesty about your life now and your continued trust in the Lord. I am in my 70's and have been anxious over many things. But I cling to Philippians 4: 6-7. God has given me that peace that transcends all understanding. Looking back on my life, I see that He has refined me and allowed me to suffer some anxiety so that I would seek Him more. He has calmed me and I hope and pray that He does so for you. Living in His peace is a beautiful thing
When I have spiritual lows, I read Psalms. It does help. I have the book of Psalms by my bedside. You will have spiritual attacks. Especially since you are doing this type of work.
I really enjoyed your testimony. I had a similar experience to you when I started to read the Bible. I was challenged to read the Bible and when I started I couldn't put it down either. I was working and I read it on the train to work in my breaks and every chance I got. Also I love your channel. I hope you keep going with your work for our Lord and Savour. God Bless you abundantly.
That force you described seems very similar to one of my experiences. I had doubt and lived in sin. Something had led me into adoration. I decided to pray the holy rosary, when something swept over me. It scared me so much yet I felt so much love. I couldn’t even kneel. I literally cried praying in God’s presence. I walked out shaking in disbelief on what had just occurred. I am glad to have run across your testimony. Thank you!
Good to see you back. This feeling happened to me too, and God said "Trust me, I have a plan". Now every time I feel negative, I say these words instantly, and it always brings me peace instantly. The way you speak now, I doubt whether you need therapy. Be blessed.

i love your testimony, you have impressed me with your other videos, you strike me as an earnest and intelligent man thats so mature. Your faith is impressive. I do think that as you grow as a Christian you realise what a world we live in, its impossible not to be anxious and depressed sometimes when we see such sin, even falling victim to it ourselves but take heart that you've found the truth, and its your prayer life, especially praying in the Spirit that can give you the strength and breakthrough you need. When you have had as many battles as Ive had (Im 53) you find that its at your lows when God reaches down to you to speak to you and lift you up. Remember it was at one of your lows that you called out to Him and He answered..God bless you, you're in my prayers now.😊

Jaiden, I love your testimony! It has been just over 2 years since I gave my life to the Lord, so I praise God for what He has done in our lives! Anxiety and depression were things I struggled with BC. When I put my faith in Jesus, His work in my heart began the healing process from my past worries of not being enough for people or even myself. I started praying, rigorously reading the Bible, and I surrounded myself with other Christians who wanted to become more like Jesus. God will provide a way out of your temptations and struggles(1 Corinthians 10:13)(Philippians 4:19)(Matthew 6:33)! Praying for you buddy!

It is okay to feel this way. I feel it too, and it ebbs and flows like you say. You quoted from Matthew 6:25. Times like these, you seek out passages like that - and they get stored in your heart. These are the baby trials, as God equips us for the greater ones. Rejoicing in the trials is hard. But that’s the goal. God bless you brother. Pray through it! Was interesting to see your background. Colossians 3:8 "But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips." Hey Jaiden, love the video so far, however, I'm 14 minutes in and I've heard you use the "s" word twice, the "d" word, and the "f" word. The bible makes it clear in several places to keep talk like this from our lips, and we are supposed to glorify God in everything we do including what we say. I was literally about to type the same thing, but I wanted to check the comments to first see of anyone else addressed it. I've been a Christian since middle school, and Im 54 now. I've been through some of the same things he is going through, but one thing that seems apparent is that there's some impurities in his walk, and maybe that's the opening that the enemy is using to grab a foothold. This is not me being critical, just trying to say the truth in love. Love you Jaiden, fall at Jesus' feet in your times of struggle. "Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water." -James 3:10-12
God bless you Jaiden, thank you for sharing. Keep learning and reading the Word and it will transform your thinking. You have faith, and now you also need to make sure you understand your faith. Get down to really understanding the law vs. grace. And be in grace. And believe in your heart and then speak what you believe. And give it time and you will see the fruit.
St. Ignatius found that we all go through seasons of what he calls "consolation" "desolation". Even Christians go through seasons of desolation - times when they feel far from God, confused, anxious, etc. But like you said, it is only a season, and He will not leave you in that place. Just remember He is there and let your desolation cause you to lean into Him even more, with honesty about where you're at and authenticity. Don't despair, don't push things, those only antagonize those anxious and depressive feelings. Those feelings are real, do not think otherwise, but they do not define you. You are still a young man, and have a long way to go, but I have been so incredibly impressed with your content, your thoughts, what you share, that I'm watching this at 6am; I'm old enough to be your Dad! Point is, you've now stepped into the reality of faith in Christ, and by the looks of it, you have a TON of support. As I always say as well, when in doubt, reach out. You have a community that you have built that is in the hundreds of thousands. You're on the right path mate!

I fell away from Christianity and this past year I’ve been getting back into it with all seriousness. And I keep wondering what am I doing wrong I’m reading the Bible. I’m listening to podcast. I’m talking to my grandparents. I’m talking to my parents. I’m talking to random people about Jesus. And I just can’t seem to get to feel him. I feel like I am just a curtain away from seeing him and hearing him. And I don’t know what to do next and I am sitting here patiently waiting for his next word or what he has to tell me or the plan he has for my life. Everything you said in this video touched my heart very deeply.
Jaden you are blessed and a blessing to the church of Jesus Christ. Hang in there young man, God is using you but don’t let that weigh you down. Which ever way he leads you know that he is there guiding and loving on you. Draw strength and peace from that. The enemy is working against you because he knows your good works for the kingdom but with God’s help you will have the victory. Amen 😊

Thanks for telling your story. One thing I learned late in life about depression: it is often simply because we are doing too much of the same thing for too long. Usually it is doing something stressful (mild or great), but it can also be a period of too little stress. We need both the ups and downs: stress and recovery, exercise and rest, eating and burning what we've eaten, waking and sleeping, working and leisure. When we don't have good, regular cycles, it's called linearity or flat-lining, like a heart rate that is racing or the heart that stops. So the remedy is to take on the stresses of life, but make sure you balance the stress with recovery. When you can't reduce the stress, press thru and plan for a good long recovery later. Remember, Jesus often and regularly went off to solitary places to pray.
Dear Jaden, don't be discouraged, all Christians in my experience at times in their lives have the feelings you are experiencing. I am 80 years old and have been a Christian since giving my heart to Jesus when I was a little girl. Still I have times of great joy and times when I feel far away from God and feel very aware of all my imperfections. But I know that Jesus will never let go of me or you, we belong to him . As the song says even if we don't feel it he is working. Don't forget there is someone who is the enemy, who is always working to bring us down. Hold fast Dear One, you are very blessed.

I’m 63 yrs old and both of my parents were atheist. Thankfully, my paternal grandma took me to church with her and I learned about Jesus from going to church. There were no Bibles in my house, but the church gave me a New Testament for Christmas and when I read the “red letters” that were the words of Jesus I felt Him like He was in the room with me. I asked Him to save me because I wanted to be with Him forever. My father has passed away still unbelieving and my mother believes in a vague pantheistic type of “god”. Jesus is so good and wise and kind. No one has ever loved me like Jesus and I’m looking forward to going Home to Heaven with Him soon. The biggest thing that we have to realize as Christians is that no matter what our “works”, we can never reach the perfection of God. Only He is perfect and anything we do is like “filthy rags”. Only God can save us from sin. When you feel overwhelmed, go to Jesus and talk it out.May you always be blessed and never stray from the Lord. God bless you!
Elijah suffered from anxiety and depression. God understands our weaknesses. He’ll see you through this. I recommend reading the Problem of Pain by CS Lewis. I finished reading recently and it really helped me in this valley I’m in right now. God bless you Jaiden.
As you grow as a follower of Christ you will have many ups and downs, and you will learn that you can trust God on the mountain tops and you can trust him even more in the valleys! Remember, when you're in one of those valleys that if you never had a problem, you would never learn that God can solve them. Soon you will learn what faith and God can do! Don't worry about being a perfect Christian, God uses people like Paul (formally Saul, who was persecuting Christians) to help further the gospel. God wants us to love people, to the extent that we want to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them!

Jaiden, please be careful with therapy. Be careful who you choose and make sure they are a Christian. Please be careful if that person suggests medication. Turn to a trusted pastor or elder in your church because they have probably been through something similar to what you’re going through. I think you’re still dying to self and that’s HARD!!! The spiritual low you describe sounds like so many chapters of being an adult. Remember most of what causes anxiety is of this world. Trust God and do your part to be responsible, and everything sorts itself out. Life is so so unpredictable- I’ve had challenges I never anticipated. I came to Christ just over a decade ago, and i have been struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD and more, ever since before, but my life has also been transformed, i was also a pothead for a looong time, He removed that and other things from me also, but i still struggle with worldly things.
I believe we will always struggle with these things, until we get a glorified body.

Jaiden - I commented yesterday but have so much more to say to you as the Holy Spirit compels me. I pray first that this gets to you and is received in and through that same Spirit. First - others have commented here about the unusual (for you) objectionable language you sprinkled into your message. Please feel an outpouring of GRACE from those of us who recognize its use by you as not gratuitous but as part of your cry for brothers and sisters in the Lord to stand with you against Satan’s desires for you. This channel is a solid forum except that by its nature doesn’t develop a true DIALOGUE where, outside of these comments, iron sharpens iron. Second - you are on such an impressive, accelerated journey reminiscent/similar to what Saul/Paul experienced on that road. Jesus immediately put Paul in the path of believers (Barnabas, Titus, etc) because the consistent Bible message to followers of Christ is we are not expected to do this without leaning on the brotherhood of believers. I pray that God walks people into your personal life to be sources of God’s wisdom, grace and strength. Third - please be ever so careful about medicating your way through this spiritual trough. When you were without Jesus, you experimented with powerful, addictive substances that temporarily altered reality. I will begin a period of fasting and prayer for you to seek out human, spiritual intervention that will support you without medication (Paul was lifted up by God-honoring churches which fortified him when dealing with churches who had lost their Way). Fourth and final - you are God’s chosen vessel for this special ministry, evident from your humble desire (and success) at being light and salt and a seed scatterer. While you gather faithful Christian physical/personal support around you (the Church), great resources are John MacArthur, John Lennox, James Tour, Frank Turek, Stephen Meyer, Eric Metaxis to name a few. Be well and know God’s love, joy and peace surrounding you - He’s never far from us❤️

i experienced highs and lows soon after I was first saved. I realized that I had to get off this roller coaster if I was to get anywhere in my spiritual life. The solution for me was trusting in the sovereignty of God and applying 1 Thess. 5:18 "In everything give thanks." to my life. I thanked God for everything, both good and bad knowing that God allowed all things to work out for my good. This practice increased my faith in God and took me on a level path which I have been walking for over 50 Years.

With what you shared about your life - huge changes coming - there's no wonder you feel overwhelmed and anxious. It's pretty much expected :) Yes, spiritual highs and lows are very real too, but Jesus will get you through every battle! I urge you to do a lot of research, before you sign up for therapy. Especially if drugs are involved. Drugs don't heal, they only mask the symptoms, causing chemical imbalance and addiction. Dry dropping some stress factors for a time being - for example UA-camring. Concentrate on what's most important in this season (and remember, it's just a season!) - your wedding and your school. Fully trust our Saviour to bring you through. Every blessing, dear brother!

I started watching your videos shortly after I became a Christian. I was a Mormon for most of my childhood but did not really feel a connection with God and had not even read the Gospel! I was challenged in my religious beliefs by my crush when I was 16 around this time, and was encouraged to really seek out God. I had some testimony that he was real after one night I prayed at the invitation of some missionaries and received an emotional response, but I still didn't really have anything to go off of. Trying to read through the new testament came very difficultly to me, but your videos of evidences of God and the events of the resurrection, and your mini-testimonies and sprinklings of biblical mentions helped guide me through my journey to really putting my faith in Jesus. You've done me a great service, though of course I don't expect that knowledge to fix what is broken.
Thank you for sharing your testimony, it was wonderful to listen to. I often feel lost despite the knowledge that my savior is with me, and often feel hopelessly stuck in sin. Those are growing pains. Like lifting weight builds physical strength, learning to overcome adversity will make you stronger, but remember that our strength is in Him. Take up His yoke and learn of Him. I have faced similar issues, but God helped me to overcome. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee. He gives power, love and a sound mind.

It will be two years in January when I first came to Christ as well and I relate to a lot of what you shared. I’m also going through a spiritual low right now. Jaiden, I thank God that you are sharing your testimony of how Jesus has saved and changed your life. And thank you for your honesty in sharing your struggles. I love what the Word says in the book of Revelation: "and they overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony." So my Brother in Christ, keep on sharing what God has done in your life. I perceive that you were a sincere person searching for the best life. Jesus never promised us an easy life but we don't have to live it alone. That's why we have the church , our brothers to support us. I am 87 but I love how God is raising up your generation to bring spiritual awakening to our country, particularly right now on college campuses. Another thing about your struggles, remember we all go through trials but when we go through the fire, He will be with us. As in Psalm 23, David said "even though we walk through the shadow of death, you my God are with me." He promises us that if we follow him, He will be with us to the ends of the world. I think it was Billy Graham who once said that for two weeks he felt nothing in his relation to God. Later when he looked back on that time in his life, he said that was when he walked by faith the most and not by feelings. One of my very favorite pod casters is Bryce Crawford. You may already know him. Please reach out to him. You two would just love each other. He once gave a quotation that has impacted my life. "Remember, emotions are good servants but they are not good masters." Emotions may come and go but the Word of God never changes and endures forever. You will always be the "apple of His eye." I am very impressed by your testimony and believe that God has given you a special gift to communicate the gospel to others. One more thing I am sensing. You may need to really kick back and just enjoy yourself by doing something you really love to do. I just love the man of God you already are! Yes, I have been praying for you today. I highly highly recommend that you get super plugged in your local church - a church that preaches sound biblical truth. More importantly, please find an elder or strong leader at your church let him disciple/mentor you. It will transform your life big time and strenthen your walk with Christ. As for the current struggles, though not easy, please keep your eyes on Jesus and don’t look away. Remember Peter, he kept walking on water until he looked away, and began to drawn. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness… Don’t be discouraged, God is with you. Reflect on Isaiah 43:2 and Isaiah 41:10. God bless you.

I have been mocked for my faith-for going way above and beyond just attending church-and for my anxiety. I mean greatly mocked. I’m learning to lift it up to save other souls. I’m learning we do t have to be perfect to be holy.

Every time I watch one of your videos it is such a blessing to see the passion you have for Jesus.
I grew up a christian but had a very difficult childhood filled with depression and anxiety. I really wrestled with going through suffering when I was a Christian.
I recently realized it was the subtle influence of prosperity gospel that gave me the impression that life as a christian would be easy. But Jesus said In this life you will have trials and tribulations but take heart I overcame the world.
It’s going to sound cliche and I hated when people said it to me. But its true that you reach a point where you see the struggle as a blessing because it fosters such a close dependence on God.
Be careful with therapy, most of the treatment strategies they have for anxiety and depression is based on a naturalistic world view.

Thank you for your honesty about your life now and your continued trust in the Lord. I am in my 70's and have been anxious over many things. But I cling to Philippians 4: 6-7. God has given me that peace that transcends all understanding. Looking back on my life, I see that He has refined me and allowed me to suffer some anxiety so that I would seek Him more. He has calmed me and I hope and pray that He does so for you. Living in His peace is a beautiful thing
When I have spiritual lows, I read Psalms. It does help. I have the book of Psalms by my bedside. You will have spiritual attacks. Especially since you are doing this type of work.

That force you described seems very similar to one of my experiences. I had doubt and lived in sin. Something had led me into adoration. I decided to pray the holy rosary, when something swept over me. It scared me so much yet I felt so much love. I couldn’t even kneel. I literally cried praying in God’s presence. I do think that as you grow as a Christian you realise what a world we live in, its impossible not to be anxious and depressed sometimes when we see such sin, even falling victim to it ourselves but take heart that you've found the truth, and its your prayer life, especially praying in the Spirit that can give you the strength and breakthrough you need. When you have had as many battles as Ive had (Im 53) you find that its at your lows when God reaches down to you to speak to you and lift you up. I love your testimony! It has been just over 2 years since I gave my life to the Lord, so I praise God for what He has done in our lives! Anxiety and depression were things I struggled with BC. When I put my faith in Jesus, His work in my heart began the healing process from my past worries of not being enough for people or even myself. I started praying, rigorously reading the Bible, and I surrounded myself with other Christians who wanted to become more like Jesus. God will provide a way out of your temptations and struggles(1 Corinthians 10:13)(Philippians 4:19)(Matthew 6:33)! Praying for you buddy!

It is okay to feel this way. I feel it too, and it ebbs and flows like you say. You quoted from Matthew 6:25. Times like these, you seek out passages like that - and they get stored in your heart. These are the baby trials, as God equips us for the greater ones. Rejoicing in the trials is hard. But that’s the goal. God bless you brother. Pray through it! Was interesting to see your background. Hey Jaiden, love the video so far, however, I'm 14 minutes in and I've heard you use the "s" word twice, the "d" word, and the "f" word. The bible makes it clear in several places to keep talk like this from our lips, and we are supposed to glorify God in everything we do including what we say. I was literally about to type the same thing, but I wanted to check the comments to first see of anyone else addressed it. I've been a Christian since middle school, and Im 54 now. I've been through some of the same things he is going through, but one thing that seems apparent is that there's some impurities in his walk, and maybe that's the opening that the enemy is using to grab a foothold. This is not me being critical, just trying to say the truth in love. Love you Jaiden, fall at Jesus' feet in your times of struggle.

God bless you Jaiden, thank you for sharing. Keep learning and reading the Word and it will transform your thinking. You have faith, and now you also need to make sure you understand your faith. Get down to really understanding the law vs. grace. And be in grace. And believe in your heart and then speak what you believe. And give it time and you will see the fruit.
St. Ignatius found that we all go through seasons of what he calls "consolation" "desolation". Even Christians go through seasons of desolation - times when they feel far from God, confused, anxious, etc. But like you said, it is only a season, and He will not leave you in that place. Just remember He is there and let your desolation cause you to lean into Him even more, with honesty about where you're at and authenticity.

Don't despair, don't push things, those only antagonize those anxious and depressive feelings. Those feelings are real, do not think otherwise, but they do not define you. You are still a young man, and have a long way to go, but I have been so incredibly impressed with your content, your thoughts, what you share, that I'm watching this at 6am; I'm old enough to be your Dad! Point is, you've now stepped into the reality of faith in Christ, and by the looks of it, you have a TON of support. As I always say as well, when in doubt, reach out. You have a community that you have built that is in the hundreds of thousands. You're on the right path mate!

This means a lot to me actually right now. Born and raised into a Christian family and from a very strict Baptist background. I fell away from Christianity and this past year I’ve been getting back into it with all seriousness. And I keep wondering what am I doing wrong I’m reading the Bible. I’m listening to podcast. I’m talking to my grandparents. I’m talking to my parents. I’m talking to random people about Jesus. And I just can’t seem to get to feel him. I feel like I am just a curtain away from seeing him and hearing him. And I don’t know what to do next and I am sitting here patiently waiting for his next word or what he has to tell me or the plan he has for my life. Everything you said in this video touched my heart very deeply.

Thanks for telling your story. One thing I learned late in life about depression: it is often simply because we are doing too much of the same thing for too long. Usually it is doing something stressful (mild or great), but it can also be a period of too little stress. We need both the ups and downs: stress and recovery, exercise and rest, eating and burning what we've eaten, waking and sleeping, working and leisure. When we don't have good, regular cycles, it's called linearity or flat-lining, like a heart rate that is racing or the heart that stops. So the remedy is to take on the stresses of life, but make sure you balance the stress with recovery. When you can't reduce the stress, press thru and plan for a good long recovery later. Remember, Jesus often and regularly went off to solitary places to pray.
