Jalen 9 per!!! man, that hurts. He is a hustler, up and down the court with good size.
Maybe they're focusing on Bey, knowing he will be ready for '25-26.
I rather Melton over GTJ - he's a better ball handler, better at defense, hustler, "nose to the ball" type - but I agree, GTJ over nothing is a win. He can shoot, which fits this system, and maybe, just maybe, they line up a trade up for him by this time next season. Truth is, JKW will be playing mostly in the G-league next season.

Fine with GTJ moving on honestly. I think we should go for a high draft pick next season then start looking at trades with the future first rounders. Another tank may be the right move. Give IQ and Scottie a year to grow and develop some chemistry. I don't see RJ being a long term fit unless his salary goes down. Gradey could be a good piece. Keep Poeltl unless we can find a stretch big somewhere.

this is not a serious concern - we all know we're in a rebuild - we're not paying any players, we're not signing free agents - we're trying to grow our own talent just like OKC, spurs and miami does. We're looking to be bad and get a good pick in a strong draft class - why grab a big player so we can be mid for years to come?

@carlinjames9475 Yes, kiddo. We're tanking from day 1. Same as last year to have a chance at Cooper Flagg. Then we'll wait til he's ready to lead in 3 years and then in 2030 we'll be ready for a chip.
Just like Detroit has planned with Cade, San Antonio with Wemby, Minnesota with Edward's etc etc.
Because you can't be good without being really bad first. Just imagine when Lamelo and Brandon Miller are championship ready. Holy smokes.
      NO
We're gonna compete and see where we are. We aren't going into next season trying to tank. We aren't bad enough on paper and roster isn't set. Barnes Barrett (off olympics) quickley Olynyk etc whoever is here will NOT be in favor of a tank. We aren't a championship squad but we can make the playoffs next year. Then you sign free agents to.a growing group and develop your young players (Dick,Walter) and THEN you compete for a chip.
      We aren't tanking.
Besides acting like the loss of Gary Trent Jr somehow reveals this team direction is a bad evaluation of his importance to this team.

@@RyanSheppard-tq4pg again. You’re thinking checkers when it’s chess. It’s not about tanking to rebuild the entire roster. Unlike those teams. We have a great culture and we have key pieces. but our only home grown player is Scottie Barnes and Gradey depending on what he can turn into
think golden state. Where they tanked for a season. Got a top 2 pick then tried to compete again or Dallas where they tanked end of the year to get a top 10 pick and grabbed lively. Do you honestly think the raptors brought in 6 rookies to compete? Come on bro, they are gonna let the young guys develop. While being bad
THEN when we land a top pick and we have more talent. We’ll sign some players in free agency. But right now the goal is to not be in the middle of the pack.

BB is going to bring back nothing - it will be two dud contracts of underwhelming players and two high 2nd round picks. If they are lucky, a late 1st. Maybe MU cooks and gets a better package, but teams know the Raps are hand-cuffed, and will be further hand-cuffed as the season goes along (unless BB plays out of his head as a Raptor this season, and teams have no choice but to pay the price at the deadline). Right now the Raps have zero options at the back up SF position, so no rush on him, unless they have a guy they really like and want to sign as a FA and need the monies - but that doesn't look to be the case so far. One more tank would suck but may be worth it if we can get a really top tier prospect such as a top 4 draft pick... This team is just simply not there yet and some of you guys just lack the patience for a rebuild. Few teams rebuild in one offseason unless they have some kind of superstar there that’s bringing in other players to create some kind of superteam. The Spurs just had 2 season of straight up tanking and picked up some good talent in the draft while doing it. The Raptors just started a rebuild a few months ago, we hardly have a established playing style and you think we’re in a good position to go for it ? 🤔 Who are we trading to get the players to go for it ? The best thing for the raptors to do is secure a high draft pick in the 2025 draft which is expected to be stacked. If they can get 2 first round picks in that draft then even better. Another lackluster week. Draft was only so so. FA so far, we are too slow and lethargic, as usual. Wheres the sense of urgency?? I hate to say this, but tim to remove the entire front office incl Massai. The Massai and Webster era needs to be over. Now! I dint say that lightly and seriously thank them for their yrs of service and the chip. But its over now. Smith and Valanciunas should be Raptors. Too many missed opportuinities, all underscored by tragic Siakam trade.

I don't find in concerning what so ever! Trent is a one trick pony and most GMs can see that. Homer Raptors fans need to chill lol

Why is it a serious concern? Gary is literally not even a 6th man, he's trash. Jesus, if you thought it was "serious", what did you think when: Gasol/Ibaka/FVV left for nothing? Or us tanking Siakams worth.

Your crying over nothing, Gary Trent jr. has always been inconsistent, streaky and one-dimensional, and doesn’t provide anything other than shooting, while we have multiple guards including Ja’Kobe to replace him, also we tried trading him, cuz he has no value, so stop with these reactionary videos to attract a negative audience

they don't have the intllignce to tank.. they'll likely push for the play-in due to this org's low iq

What's new??? Nothing. Raptors rumors as always, all hype no glory. Same ol' same ol'. I've lost all confidence in Raptors head office. They aren't even in the stratosphere of being a treat in the nextv5 years the way they are constructed. Just as the former Golden State Warriers GM said "Toronto lacks talent".
