Couldn't agree more. Jason actually performed in India a month or so ago. Everyone loved him!
Phil is 100% correct, I started playing guitar in 2003. I had very limited internet access and didn't evolve much as a guitar player until 2005 when I found a program called power tab. It was like guitar pro but way more simplistic. My playing improved 10 fold within a year just being able to slow down and play along with songs.
Phil is pretty cool.
Phil's joke about Jason and Luke texting each other in zeroes and ones was fucking hilarious.
First time I heard this guy playing made me lose my sh*t from excitement ,he's insanely good guitar player
Rudinger's drumming is incredible with all the seamless lead-hand changes and insane gravity blasts. He is 4 limb independent like few others. Luke is on his level though.

I feel that the last 10 or 15 years in music has changed almost as fundamentally as when they invented the electric guitar. And just like back then you had people that loved it and hated it. I personally dont like the over computization of music. But moving forward I think thats what music is going to be. The nice thing about now is we have more recorded music from earlier eras (as opposed to the early 1900s before recorded music became commom) so Im still able to listen to my zeppelin, metallica and early slipknot CDs. I also do like some new music so I can go see live shows of new bands... I just dont like it as much. And to all those zoomers out there who think old people are being mean for likeing music from their youth more than new music, I just want to point out that is how its been for generations, dont get such hurt feelings about it. Your parents arent supposed to like your music lol
you sound quite bitter. The best 5 guitarists of all time are all in their 20s and early 30s. The best drummer of all time is young as hell too. Get over it, accept that music has evolved, and listen to your elitist trash by yourself rather than making a fuss about it.

Jason is an impossible shredder. He can play a chinese takeout menu and it would have feeling despite being made with 5000 notes.
Alex Rudinger is one of the best drummers I’ve ever seen. He’s a fucking gangster.
Mike Stringer is also a beast of a guitar player.
not in the same technical orbit as Jason. dope songwriter and tones though for sure.

@tylerhawksmoor9601 On top of the fact that Mike writes all the instrumentals. Drums, bass, guitars, ambience. That's all him. Jason is a phenomenal guitarist, but he isn't an overall musician like Mike.
Jason is a great guitarist but his stage presence just isn't at the level of Oli. Oli had it all. Very sad he isnt here anymore.

@@Crantrex I mean, if you listen to upside down, he uses literally every major guitar technique and does it better than anyone ever has lol. One trick pony might be a reference to Jason loving alternate picking a lot, but if you can alternate pick a song like Tendinitis, and sweep Jason Becker's Serrana better than Becker himself could've ever swept back when he was still active, and when you can play as fast as he does on Titan, there really isn't anything left to learn.
