d.p were a drop into the ocean of what was happening at this time in europe. thay just had a good album-HOMEWORK- and ppl started to care about french dance music. they didnt start anything, they dont even play house music. its a mix of electro - house and whatever comes into their mind.
let's put this plainly (since i've read quite a few comments on this)....no daft punk = no ANY OTHER ARTIST that has been named on this page thus far........it's just a fact.....daft punk and many other artists surrounding them at the time (ie artists signed to crydamoure and such) simply revolutionized a whole genre.......
@sandmaster220 oh yes definitely. im not the biggest fan of Louis La Roche anymore; but im aware of those artists. thanks(: be sure to search up "DJ Happy - Youth Attack! (Re-Edit)" and have a listen; its an old track i did... im reworking it lol. (: comment pleaseeeeee
@Daftendirecktour But the song 'Teachers' pretty much explains that they are not the godfathers of house, but rather that they got the inspiration from many house artists. As much as I love Daft Punk, there are artists better them that inspired them in the first place :)
@technogiapada They influenced it to what it is today, granted they were influenced by others, but it never reached mainstream until they came out with Homework, they are more like the "fathers of house music" as much as I hate that term.
what u smokin? Everyone knows Daft Punk are the godfathers of House... They've been going for 16 years... The Phantoms Revenge is one of the best French House artists since Thomas Bangalter & Le Knight Club... Daft Punk & T-P-R (The Phantoms Revenge) would own other artists up anyday...
