    I have been a Dewalt user since they came out, but this gun has me wanting to start buying Milwaukee. I have the cordless Dewalt drywall gun and it is awesome. Great battery life and excellent performance, BUT the Milwaukee takes it to the next level. One of my guys bought the Milwaukee, so I tried it out. I was impressed to say the least. First off, it was quieter than the Dewalt, but that auto on feature is the bee's knees. Those two features really sold me. My company does a lot of "TI" work. This is tenant improvements usually done in buildings that are occupied by other tenants who are trying to work while we do construction in adjacent spaces. It is uber important to be as quiet as possible, to avoid having to work night hours, which everyone hates.
    If Dewalt doesn't meet the challenge soon I will be forced to make a switch.

    • @VCGConstruction

      Definitely a good reason to have the auto feature!!

    • @delucs90
      @delucs90 5 років тому +1

      The auto feature is nice but very slow. I myself owned one but rearly used that feature because i found that it is to slow. As fore the cone one the gun with time it comes loose and turns by its self. I fund dewalt to be the better bet for cordless.

      Corded versions won’t die at the job no matter how much work you put it into, if you want the tool dead, the only way is to take it apart.. or smash it into a concrete object !

    What are the limitations to this gun and its cons compared to an impact driver, I'm unaware of what they would be from ignorance, but the fact toy can have an autoloading drill, is a efficiency at another level, especially if you completely remove any chance of the screw falling off your drill when your other hand is holding the duct work at height, then have to reload the drill can be an efficiency and time kilker

    We use the cordless senco strip fed gun. I find it heavy and bulky . I'm going to switch to either Milwaukee or DeWalt with the strip screw attachment. I love the strips. It can be a pain when u have to buy diff size screws by the box when only say the garage or whatever just one spor is getting double layer. But all in all I like using strips

    I use this screwgun for metal framing and drywalling and love it...I used to use Hilti and the hilti is tougher however it much heavier and not worth it imo...even tho this gun may only last me 2 years instead of 5 or more the weight makes it worth it plus they have warranties...Friends of mine use the dewalt screwgun and its delivers similar performance altho my milwaukee last at least twice as long before something breaking in my experience...I upgraded and bought the new slim 3amp batteries and i really like the extra power and battery life it gives me with minimal weight changes...I just prefer a full charged battery when the screws just get sucked in super easily as the battery gets to half you can feel the power drop a bit but with the 3amp it saved that small problem.

    Does the clutch work by pressure from the tip or from torque? If torque, it would drive less deep in a hard spot. If the tip disengages the drive at the set depth, it would sink the same depth even though wood densities vary.
    Can you say which it is?
    thanks.
