Love the video my guy. I’ll give you some context. This is all based on free agency or trades that almost happened, or instances where players have family members that played for a specific team (Klay Thompson in a laker uni is cause his dad played for them) or that they have ties to a place (Larry bird is from Indiana):
Magic almost un retired between 91-95 because pat Riley wanted him to join the Knicks and he almost did, but Jerry buss said if you come back you come back as a laker and Magic eventually passed. Here are a couple more:
Chris Paul was trade to the lakers but the nba owned the hornets at the time and ultimately rescinded the deal,
Tim Duncan was going to sign with the Magic In 2000 but doc rivers said he couldn’t bring family on team flights so Duncan resigned with the spurs.
Amare Stoudemire was almost traded on deadline day to the Cavs, but the Cavs wanted him to sign an extension along with Lebron. Neither wanted to lock themselves up for a long term deal so the trade fell through and the Cavs traded for Antwan Jamison instead.
