I needed a key fob replacement for a 2019 Toyota Camry. This particular smart key is a bit difficult to program. Worked great for our 2010 Toyota Camry. We lost a key many years ago and have only had one key since. I saw an ad for Tom’s Keys, checked them out, and ordered a new smart key. It took 2-3 weeks to get the key and programmer, but that was no issue for us. After watching this 6-minute video, it took less than 5 minutes to make a new smart key. Awesome programmer! I was able to program a key fob in 5 minutes just follow the instructions included in the package. It came with phone, programmer and instructions. Once done put everything back in the box and place the prepaid return slip. Definitely recommend this to anyone needing a spare key for their vehicle!
I have a 2010 Toyota Prius and a 2015 Toyota Highlander with smart keys. I rented the key programmer from Tom's and receive a preprogrammed cell phone to use with the programmer. The whole process took no more than 5 minutes per vehicle. Very easy and the directions they provide are very simple. It would have been even faster had i known that I didn’t need to go through all the phone steps on the video with the included phone! Suggestion: put a note somewhere big and bold on the paper instructions. Once I realized I didn’t need to do anything but turn on the phone, pair it, and start the program... it went so fast!😁

I just had purchased a pre-owned 2016 Toyota Tundra that came with only one key fob in really bad condition. Toyota was charging me 160 per fob to program so I decided to give Tom's keys company a try after reading the review and it is exactly how they say in the video. Easy AF, it took me 15 mins to program my 2 key fobs that I bought on amazone. I live in Canada so the return cost me 20$ cad but I just didn't care after saving 240$. It's just a no brainer.

So Happy I found this business. I bought a used corolla and it came with just 1 key. I ordered the correct key and the programmer from Tom’s car Key. Programming the key as a FOB and to lock/unlock was easy enough. It was a success and all went well. Cheaper to go this route than order from dealer. Happy customer here.😃😃😃

In less than 5 minutes I programmed two proximity keys for my son's 2012 Toyota Camry. The UA-cam video took longer to view :) Just follow the directions and soon you'll have your blank proximity key programmed and ready to use. Also used their physical key laser cutting service, it too was an easy process. Just take three pictures of an existing key, upload them to Tom's Key website - and they do the rest. All in all we saved over $600 vs. going to the dealer.

5 min I programmed a key and fob. I will order new fobs for my other vehicles.
It took some finagling but I got my 2019 Toyota Sienna's new key fob programmed and saved some $$$ in the process:
So here's my analysis of what happened:
Bluetooth light indicator was finicky and sporadic at times
Turning off wifi did not stop the activation connection failed errors in the X100T app
Using my iPhone 11 with the latest X100T app from the App Store was not a possible solution because the “Smart Key Fob” option didn't appear on the screen (perhaps they locked out that ability with the newer version)
But I ultimately got this thing to work with the included Samsung Galaxy S3 phone that was shipped with the rental unit, but it was a bit painful.
The main trick was that the X100T app was already activated with the included phone and so the failed connection attempts during activation were irrelevant and that step could be skipped entirely.

The sensor suddenly stopped working in my 4 year old toyota yaris car, and although it opens and operates with spare key.. The sensor won't work in both of my remotes at the same time..

Got the key, but could not program for my car. They were constantly in touch with me to help with the programming. It still did not work. So they readily offered a refund. Very pleasant to deal with the customer service.
Can i use this to program a used key i bought online? I had it cut to fit my ignition but it still needs to be programmed. Local guy said he cant program it because its a used key fob...

😬 just received the package a short while ago. Made it to the prox 3 screen under smart key system then it never asked me to put the existing key up to the start button. Couldn’t proceed with adding new key (operation failed) again still not asking to place current key to the start button. Guess i have to wait until your techs can come up with a new system and hopefully some step by step written instructions with some work arounds when things don’t operate like they do in the video. ☹️

Do you need to open the driver's door in the process? All keys lost, I tried to use the all smart keys lost with xtool but it doesnt work. I used 4D 433 mhz and 315 mhz.
This video demonstrates the procedure followed to program a smart key. No opening of the drivers door during the programming of this Fob. Note there is a difference process for different types of keys and fobs.

This may sound like a dog ate my homework, but truthfully I bought my daughter's 2018 Toyota Rav4 Adventure that has the push button start. She gave me one key fob and told me her dog bite the other one. She gave me what was left and I saw the dog bit right on a piece that sends the signal to lock the car. Will this system work on this car?
As long as one of the fobs starts the engine, you can use Tom's Car Key Programmer to make another fob. It doesn't sound like the one that got turned into dog food will work though - you'll need to buy a replacement fob to program.

I do have a remote start retrofitted but this fob doesn't work either...can this somehow work with that?

Did not work for me as I did not have a master key. They told me they would return my money in full. Great customer service.
Upon hearing that my local Toyota dealer can charge $400-500 for a new key FOB, I decided to buy my an aftermarket fob and go to a local key shop. I came across Tom’s Key videos after I ordered my fob from someplace else, while looking for which local key shop did fob programming. I decided it looked easy enough and way cheaper overall than the $100-125 that the local key shops were charging. Once you get the bluetooth paired, the whole process only takes a few minutes.
