I live in East Tennessee. We just had a warm spell and I got out on tractor I cleaned up around the horses. Don’t have any cattle right now. Just sold all of mine a few months ago
We operate an organic dairy in Minnesota. I couldn't agree more that when the weather warms up you've got to take advantage of those opportunities to clean the lots. Subscribed a few weeks ago. Really enjoy your videos, takes me back to the year my wife and I lived in Laramie.
festorfamine 9to 5 job at least you get paid to work. ranching you have to pay to work and the return is always way shorter than the amount of money you put into it!
I have told the state highway guys that they should put a deer crossing sign out here, I guarantee the deer will cross right at the sign. Of course no sign yet. Thanks Bode - Mike
Dear Mike and Erin: I got to you from Blake’s channel, and from TTWT to his. You are both kind and courageous, and we think what you do IS glamorous! Driving between Iowa and Illinois as we often do, given where we’ve lived, and with an angus operation formerly in one part of the family and hogs in another part, we got to laughing during a recent trip about the wine connoisseurs in our family, and realized as we were getting a whiff of a farm we were passing on the Interstate and accurately guessing what kind of operation we were smelling in the dark that we seem to be manure connoisseurs! We’re still laughing about it realizing that we look at this as normal: We’re proud of where we come from, and feel very blessed to have rural backgrounds and to share that with family and friends. You both exemplify that and with each video you get better at conveying it, and more confident at what you are doing. It’s fun to watch, and my goodness, what a legacy you are giving your children! The ranch will always be in their souls, just as the smell of Spring always puts me right back into the garden with my Dad and my Grandpa who now hasn’t been around for almost 39 years. Your children will have that cycle of the seasons and wonderful memories ingrained in them that will never grow old. You are honorable people for keeping that big promise, and it must give you immense joy and fulfillment in your hard work. You should be proud, because your viewers are proud of you as true stewards of the pioneering American spirit!
we like all. your videos, its totally true there's alway chores to be done when it comes to a ranch. and special when helping your neighbor with their chores too .thank you mari .keep videos coming🐴
Good evening Mike. Watching this video brings me back to an identical issue we had here. Road kill, yup, something we all deal with in our great country of ours. Like you I was borrowing a neighbors back hoe to dig a hole. Last December we had enough of that. Tax laws had changed, we had a need and the cash available for a new machine. We purchased a new 2018 Massey Ferguson GC1720. The backhoe on it is small, but it does dig a good 6 foot trench and the road kill falls right in. That little tractor has a lot of work in it. The 3 point can even handle 1200 pounds. The loader will do right at 1100, but ours is dropped down to about 900 because we purchased the skid steer quick attach system. Which has a lot of benefits == pallet forks, bale fork, even a skid steer brush hog. The tractor is small and gets into some tight places. Its a real miser on deisel also. I seem to use it quite a bit these days over some other tractors we have. Just a little thought if your looking to add to your machine inventory. I do enjoy your videos. I have more of your videos to watch. Have a great evening and a great tomorrow. Love your family. Stay safe Mike.
Depends on how you look at it and want to accomplish. Housing developments, if the area gets popular. Could turn into a significant increase in property value.
Manure, LOL. I clean barn every day and keep things raked up as the lease is for sale and never know when someone will come through to look. It also helps keep my ewes cleaner. Something I don't mind and as I'm the one that does laundry and my boots, well... Keep doing the great job and encouraging us all!
Don't you just love that fragrance of manure piling up, used to deal with it when I was working in the feed yards as pinrider in the back of the pins that was terrible smell with the little crust of Frozen manure then your horse steps on it and about knock you out of your saddle cuz it stunk so bad. But it comes with the territory it is what it is.
Great videos I find myself watching them for hrs. I worked on a large dairy in high school and have a lot of great memories of that. I now run my own business and my wife and I are looking hard for more land to raise cattle. We currently only have 8 fat cattle but enjoy every minute of it. I’d love to come see your ranch and told my wife I would spend a week vacation hanging and helping y’all. I know it’s a lot of hard work and sometimes headache and pain but to be able to show and tell everyone what you own, run and do is absolutely awesome! I wish the best to luck to you and your family and if you want Ohio boy to come give free hand let me know!! Awesome videos and love all extra info.
My project list never gets done and I do not live on the ranch at this time, but my project list just getting bigger. I couldn't imagine a larger operation going through a project list such as yours.
Its probably not much different than yours, stuff you need to get done soon, stuff that can wait but still needs done and alot of motivation needed. Thanks for watching - Mike
You know, I watch "Cole the Corn Star" and i was also watching "The Ranch" on Netflix while being on quarantine, happy that you have a similar video for ranching. I realized i have no idea where my delicious steaks come from, and i want to see what the intricacies are of ranching. There were details in "the ranch" that i was not aware of (disease, genetics, etc) that are super interesting. My ancestors were farmers but i'm a city boy, maybe its in my blood hehe. Keep itup!
To get away from politics on the cable networks our smart TV and came across You Tube and found your channel and binged watched at least 100 by auto play. We are town folks and retired but my wife grew up on a farm near Kellogg Minn. She answered most of my questions.
I know what you mean about taking advantage of the weather. The temps went up here last week and I figured it was a great time to change the oil in my car and clean the chicken coop. Sure beats doing it when it's 10 degrees out. It's funny watching the cows jump around on the new straw. LOL! Kinda like kids jumping on the beds.
Haha, they were quite excited. I was going to try to tackle the chicken house also in the same video but ran out of time. Another day. thanks Jerry - Mike
Cattle manure never bothered me. The benefits of the compost and clean barnyards - not to mention I loved seeing the steers run around and tear up the clean bedding - great vid Mike
As Grandpa Basil would say, smells like money! This is an interesting channel to watch. Thanks to those who are ranchers as it is not for the faint of heart. I've never known a cattle rancher that understood the meaning of down time. Always listing off the next project, what other ranchers needed, and just roaming the fields to check the cattle.
More of "I never thought of that". You could have a separate series of video's for us urban people! Informational as always, and your a good neighbor cleaning up all that
We border the highway and the HWY department never leaves deads for more than 2days. One year we had an acreage owner kept bring dogs and turning them lose at the farm. Every time you asked she didn't know the dog but after you took care of it then she would call, I lost calves, cows and lots of abortions so I shot 9 dogs that year and she called the cops on me and it was her that got in trouble. Cow manure is fine I live a mile down wind of a pig farm and he spreads manure everyday the wind blows, you can taste it in the air.
Wow, we have been pretty fortunate. Most of the time when someone close to us loses a dog they call me first and I give them a chance to find it. I've caught a few that were out running around and got them to animal control. It just amazes me that people that live right next to a ranch are amazed when their dogs escape, all the smells are irresistible to a dog. Thanks - Mike
AndersonCattleCo. My friends parents have a farm and there neighbors just let there dogs loose and let them go wherever they want. The dog’s kept coming to my friends farm so my friends Dad threatened to shoot the dogs and of course the neighbor called the police. The neighbor got in trouble but it still seems like it would be so flipping annoying.
Where I grew up in western NY, we had problems with packs of dogs going after the winter born calves. I finally got calving moved to a better time of year and moved the cattle much closer to the house during that time. Mike talks about cleaning barn, I had to clean that barn every spring if the cows were going to have living calves. Pitchfork and lots of barrels that got taken once a week. No front end loader for me, but at least had calves to sell in the fall.! ) And yes, have had to replace poultry due to dog kills. More than a few times.
Hi Mike! New to your channel, and I'm glad I've already seen it pick up some steam since I tuned in. Thanks for taking the time to give us these awesome narratives and insights. People like you make our region of the world worth inhabiting. Keep going strong! With you along the way.
The Project List seems to be the most appropriate video to post the following suggestion. I noted the extra effort involved in loading and unloading the cattle cake feeder on the Gator, and thought. 'Why not put the cake distributor on a two-wheel tow behind cart, so you can quickly use and park it when finished?' That would free up your Gator for more convenience. Hope this finds you having a good day. ~ hnc
Great idea, they make a little trailer that it would sit on, but I'm sure I could make one myself. Then run the electrical up and into the cab. Thank you very much - Mike
Everytime someone in these subdivisions loses a dog, I always get the call pleading not to shoot their dog. Its been a long time since I've had to but I would hope they learn to keep their dogs in, there are lots of smells coming from around here that dogs find irresistable. Thanks John - Mike
I had a knock at the front door the other day ,when I opened it, a guy from New York City told me I had a cow down in the field making a lot of noise. We hoped into the Gator and rode down to see what was happening. Well the cow was calving so we got out and i started pulling the calf to help the process. When i was done, the guy was scratching his head trying to figure out what was going on. I walked over to him and asked, "You have any questions?". He asked," just how fast was that calf running before it rear ended that cow?"
As for me, the best smell in the world is the combination of cow, horse (yes manure lol), leather, saddle soap, hay & alfalfa. Around here you know when people are fertilizing their lawns & gardens lol. Those are the day's I breath deep & the memories flood in. Too bad it only comes once a year.
I'm a new subscriber to your channel, grew up on a farm in a small town in Nebraska.. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos, sure it will bring back lots of memories.
Love your channel. I've said this before but you are a natural. The camera loves you. Any or for the ranch you are the guy. Thanks for the info of farm life. God Bless you and your family safe travels♥️🇺🇸💕
You could use all the dead deer and all the farm dead to grow trout. Dig a trout race and put a box over it where it is easy to fill and empty . Put the dead creatures in it and allow maggots to reduce it. As the maggots mature after 5 days they move out and drop into the water to be super trout food. Clean out the bones and antlers periodically. How much does fresh trout sell at in the area? How much for smoked trout?
Hey Mike, Have you ever had a water hydrant freeze and the propane torch will not do the job. The handle will open but no water will come out. keep the videos coming. Thanks Rod Wi.
My guess would be a broken rod that connects the to the bottom of the hydrant, might have to replace the whole thing. You could try unscrewing the head, turn off the water first and check the rod. Thanks for watching - Mike
Looks like you have a You Tube star in the making amongst the steers. Obviously a very observant, intelligent beast. And yes, having your property split by a busy main thoroughfare is no party. Speaking from experience!
This video was on my recommendations list. No idea why I mainly listen to politics. I love your videos, subscribed and liked. I live in the city in Arizona and yearn for the life you live. Happy to be a new subscriber.
Mike thanks for taking us with you on these not so glorious chores. I'M surprised the county or state doesn't do a better job of cleaning up road kill guess you can tell I'M a city slicker LOL they clean up ours on a regular basis. Will call you soon about the project for me I mentioned to you on the phone call. Have a great day!!! God Bless
Mike I really appreciate your video's, some of my fondest memories was a good work day dealing with livestock. Even with the thawed manure you still didn't have to deal with any filthy flies, eh?
I follow another rancher/farmer in Alberta, Canada who only uses round bales for hay and straw. He uses a machine that shreds and blows straw into his calving sheds and then shreds what seems to be an acre of bedding for the cattle. Why are you doing it by hand? He does this multiple times during the winter but has to use heavy equipment to clean up in the spring. Usually a D8 or a D10. Ck him out. Northern Farmer on youtube. I would also suggest onelonlyfarmer for you to check out. He is a hay farmer in New Jersey that grows hay for Mushroom Barns.
Thank you very much. Glad you found us. I worked in radio for years before coming to the ranch. You can go back and watch a playlist called new to the ranch or a video called our story to get the scoop. Thank you again -Mike
Suggestion for you Mike........use the manure to help grow your hat faster. Make the manure like a soup and spread it out. It really help the process. We do this here in B.C Canada
With all the driving around on various pieces of equipment you do all day, do you make Erin do the driving when y'all have to go to town? I drive a lot and am grateful that my wife does most of the driving when we do things together. BTW, love the shot of the bull seeing if he could eat the camera. Classic.
If the deer is fresh killed, why not take it back home and process it? Seems like those cold temps preserve it long enough before the predators get to it.
Evana and I each hit a deer in a matter of one week. Like you’re place they are constantly getting hit out by our place. A few of the surrounding counties have a program that if you hit a deer or wild hog, you can call them and they will pick it up within about 30 minutes and take it to a butcher and feed families going through hard times. It’s the only good thing that comes from hitting an animal. Great video Mike!!
Thanks Ryan, that sounds like a nice program, if you need it you can get it. I do wish that someone would come pick ours up, even just to get rid of them. My neighbor is always picking them up too. Another interesting thing that happens around here and probably everywhere is that if a buck gets hit, people will stop and cut off his horns. Two of them I picked up today had their horns cut off. Odd. - Mike
Mine is a 100 foot long by 40 foot wide cow shed, its open on one side so the cows can go in for shelter. Its their main shelter during winter and the beginning of calving. I think the one that you see at Blakes is a machine shed. Thanks - Mike
I truly enjoy these videos I am an engineer by trade but I’ve farmed all of my life I do it for the lifestyle/hobby and extra income my wife and I are raising our young children on a farm which is very important to us I think residing children 0n a farm builds character and teaches res-etc for the land the animals and other people
If you are willing to leave contact, when can I reach you on live chat or something similar, please do, I have a few questions and I think you can help me. Thanks in advance and once more greetings from Croatia, good luck!
That’s what put us out of farming the neighbors dogs killed our early spring Caves and we never could recover from that. Two 80lbs bull dogs ended 40years of a way of life for us it only took them a few weeks to do it. You better keep and eye out for this problem when they start it will be every night till they stop or you kill them.
We do keep a close eye and I think all the neighbors know the policy, but it only takes one. I'm so sorry to hear of your situation. Thank you for sharing and watching - Mike
You have done a video of the tractors, maybe it is time for a video on the truck. Maybe even a video of the trailers you use with the truck. Maybe even a video of the gator and its amazing uses!!!! Just ideas!!
I would love to help..always wanted to learn that type of stuff but dad rather drink when I was young and I'm 46 now so i might be too old to learn lol
@@OurWyomingLife I've always dreamed of living on a ranch, but I guess the work is not all fun and glamour. Thanks for exposing the side that city folks like me would have no way of knowing about. That said, I'd still like to work or live on a ranch some day.
www.homedepot.com/p/Firm-Grip-Large-Utility-Gloves-Gift-Box-8-Pack-38882-32/301997908 I got mine on sale around christmas and paid 8 bucks a box. Thanks - Mike
Mike- the opening of your videos sounds like a opening to a tv show in way i like the voice overs you do also i wish i lived on a ranch!...can you do a video on the horses that you have like maybe talk about were you got them and what do you use them for like if you ride them things like that
great video mike - Studied agricultural engineering in germany long time ago. direct talk from a real ranch professional - great stuff. came here over good looking ranch videos from hall and hall and was thinking how was the income structure of those big dollar numbers. So I learn a lot from videos from you. Seems to be there are a lot nonrancher ranches with hunting, horse breeding, party ranch/company ranches Could you write a 3 liner how much real ranchers are on the ranch and what other types of ranching (People with much money who buy a ranch for recreation and who have not to live from?) I know you have a lot to do. Brave guy.
Hey mike, how many acres is your ranch? I hunted antelope of a ranch on the east end of Gillette 8 or 9 years ago. Blizzard blew in early. Us southern California boys were not ready for that lol. Found out what lock DE icer was ,left the hotel and couldn't get the truck door to unlock. I would love to go back, really neat country.
We run over 5000 acres, if its the blizzard I'm thinking of then yes that was a good one. October snow can really do alot of damage. Thanks for watching - Mike
Love how informative these videos are. No click bait. No filler. Thanks for your hard work.
Thank you very much. We are real and we want our channel to be the same way. Thanks for watching -Mike
I live in East Tennessee. We just had a warm spell and I got out on tractor I cleaned up around the horses. Don’t have any cattle right now. Just sold all of mine a few months ago
Seeing the steers running back in a playing in the straw kinda made my day, great video!
They are always so happy! Thanks Justin - Mike
Man you have a Radio Voice for sure... Most professional voice on UA-cam.. Love your vids
Thank you very much and thank you for watching - Mike
“I gave up on the state employees to show up”
Ha ha.....oh lord is this true
Thanks for the video Mike.
We operate an organic dairy in Minnesota. I couldn't agree more that when the weather warms up you've got to take advantage of those opportunities to clean the lots. Subscribed a few weeks ago. Really enjoy your videos, takes me back to the year my wife and I lived in Laramie.

Still better then a 9-5 office job.
Any day of the week, thanks - Mike
festorfamine 9to 5 job at least you get paid to work. ranching you have to pay to work and the return is always way shorter than the amount of money you put into it!
I saw a deer look both ways smart deer
I have told the state highway guys that they should put a deer crossing sign out here, I guarantee the deer will cross right at the sign. Of course no sign yet. Thanks Bode - Mike
I enjoy watching your videos. Makes me want to leave this city life and move out to the country.

Kinda sucks they built a housing development next to your ranch. I wouldn't like that at all. However, not much you can do about it though.......
Yea not much I can do. Just something else to deal with Thanks - Mike
And the road going thru. That sucks.
IronClad292 dump piles of manure constantly on the property line near the development and dead rotting cattle calves Deer . share the wealth LoL
Depends on how you look at it and want to accomplish. Housing developments, if the area gets popular. Could turn into a significant increase in property value.

In Montana, roadkill deer = pre-tenderized puppy food.

I envy you. I would switch places in a heartbeat if you would drive this truck over the road for weeks at a time. Loving the channel, Mike.
I dont think I could do the trucker thing. You have my respect! - Mike

Sheridan tonight it is snowing. Cold is back. My lovely wife and I love Wyoming. Sure enjoy your video’s. This is the Wyoming Life.
Hey Bob, snowing here too, really coming down. Thank you very much I agree - Mike
This is not something your average person would know. Thank you for making folks like myself aware of this issue.
Love your channel, I work full time and have 4 cows which keeps me plenty busy. Thanks for sharing.
Not glamorous but interesting and I try to catch every new video Thanks, Mike and Aaron...May God bless and look over you and your children.....
Thank you Charlie and thanks for watching - Mike
Your welcome.....
They looked so happy after you cleaned the Corral, jumping around and eating.
Thank you very much, we look forward to it. Thanks for watching - Mike
Love your channel. I've said this before but you are a natural. The camera loves you. Any or for the ranch you are the guy. Thanks for the info of farm life. God Bless you and your family safe travels♥️🇺🇸💕
I lived in Vernal,Utah for many years used to travel all over Wyoming.
awesome, thanks for watching - Mike
You could use all the dead deer and all the farm dead to grow trout.
Dig a trout race and put a box over it where it is easy to fill and empty .
Put the dead creatures in it and allow maggots to reduce it.
As the maggots mature after 5 days they move out and drop into the water to be super trout food.
Clean out the bones and antlers periodically.
How much does fresh trout sell at in the area?
How much for smoked trout?
Thanks. Enjoyed as always.
Thank you Jen and thanks for watching - Mike
Wow Mike, your subscriber numbers are really growing! You produce a quality product.
They are going up fast, just wild. Thanks for noticing Lonny! - Mike
Love your stuff! Live in Montana. You be safe and keep the great content coming!
Hey Mike, Have you ever had a water hydrant freeze and the propane torch will not do the job. The handle will open but no water will come out. keep the videos coming.
Thanks Rod
Wi.
My guess would be a broken rod that connects the to the bottom of the hydrant, might have to replace the whole thing. You could try unscrewing the head, turn off the water first and check the rod. Thanks for watching - Mike
Congrats on 14000 subs moving like wild fire
Thanks Tim, it is moving along rather quickly. Thanks for watching - Mike
Don't tell Blake lol. He going be jealous
I hit a white tail with a tractor trailer a while back not much left to pickup . good video
Now that's a mess!
Looks like you have a You Tube star in the making amongst the steers. Obviously a very observant, intelligent beast.
And yes, having your property split by a busy main thoroughfare is no party. Speaking from experience!
Look into resomation for the road kill and animals. Fertilizer for future crops.
Thank you very much ! - Mike
Great vid! You must have a fortune tied up in farm equipment. Maintenance other than routine seems like it could be very costly.
It only costly when something breaks lol Thanks - Mike
Try composting them with your muck. You have issues with water and no rain or run off catchment system? You out to be more pro active.
This video was on my recommendations list. No idea why I mainly listen to politics. I love your videos, subscribed and liked. I live in the city in Arizona and yearn for the life you live. Happy to be a new subscriber.
Hey there, glad you found us either way. Thanks for watching - Mike
God Bless
Awesome, thanks ! - Mike
Pain heals, Chicks dig scars, glory lasts forever. keep your cows happy and your wife happier and all is right in Wyoming........
Very good advice! Thanks - Mike
Gotta get upwind when pulling netwrap bro. ;-) As always, thanks for the great videos.
haha, sure do! Thanks - Mike
Mike I really appreciate your video's, some of my fondest memories was a good work day dealing with livestock. Even with the thawed manure you still didn't have to deal with any filthy flies, eh?
No flies yet. Give it time though. I have a feeling I'm going to be fighting flies this year. Thanks I'm glad you like it. :) -Mike
Another awesome video! Good job touching on the stuff no one thinks about.
Thank you very much and thanks for watching - Mike
Sure enjoy your videos!
Thanks David, and thanks for watching - Mike
Great video, thanks, Mike!
Thanks Tyler as always thanks for watching - Mike
Im your 15000th subscriber!
Congratulations on reaching this milestone! Maybe this time next year you will have 150 000 subs!
Awesome!!!!! Thank you very much. Glad you found us and thanks for watching. -Mike
We do it by hand because we dont have a bale buster. Thank you very much - Mike
I'm new to your channel and am glad I subscribed! Where did you get your voice? You remind me of listening to murder mysteries on the radio years ago!
Thank you very much. Glad you found us. I worked in radio for years before coming to the ranch. You can go back and watch a playlist called new to the ranch or a video called our story to get the scoop. Thank you again -Mike
Most of this can be done with oxen, believe it or not, less fuel and more maneuverability.
Ok thanks Mike we live in New Mexico and we want to start a farm so we can grow are own food
Wow I live on a ranch in california Acampo
Suggestion for you Mike........use the manure to help grow your hat faster. Make the manure like a soup and spread it out. It really help the process. We do this here in B.C Canada
Our neighbor has 3 cows. I kinda like the aroma driving by. But that's 3 cows. I'm sure there is a big difference with your place.
Those steer seemed excited to get back in the coral
They always are, and they love nice straw! Thanks for watching - Mike
I really enjoy your Videos I look forward to them I'm 74 use to work on a spread some what like yours in Utah
if you can get it fast enough you can donate it to a shelter who will get a butcher to cut it up for food they do that here in Canada
With all the driving around on various pieces of equipment you do all day, do you make Erin do the driving when y'all have to go to town? I drive a lot and am grateful that my wife does most of the driving when we do things together.
BTW, love the shot of the bull seeing if he could eat the camera. Classic.
We trade off most of the time, I guess I've never thought of that though. Thanks for watching Curt - Mike
If the deer is fresh killed, why not take it back home and process it? Seems like those cold temps preserve it long enough before the predators get to it.
I think a lot more people need to know more about farmers.
I would have to agree, thanks for watching Charlie - Mike
Hi Mike thats a good old country smell that is the
best manure in the world erin should be making good use of that for her vegetables
Oh yea, they will love it! Thanks - Mike
Odd. - Mike
Interesting!! I wonder is that legal? Out here if you hit a deer and keep it, you have to report it.
Montana has that too. Not here though
I really enjoy watching your videos. So much information. Simple.
The smell of cows and horses, the smells of home. I miss that sometimes.
I can understand that, I would miss it also. Thanks for watching - Mike
Sorry everyone…😢 Congrats on the new addition. May tomorrow be a better day.❤
I often wonder what the large tan building is in the background? I noticed Blake has one in the background at his place too?
Mine is a 100 foot long by 40 foot wide cow shed, its open on one side so the cows can go in for shelter. Its their main shelter during winter and the beginning of calving. I think the one that you see at Blakes is a machine shed. Thanks - Mike
I truly enjoy these videos I am an engineer by trade but I’ve farmed all of my life I do it for the lifestyle/hobby and extra income my wife and I are raising our young children on a farm which is very important to us I think residing children 0n a farm builds character and teaches res-etc for the land the animals and other people
Many greetings from Croatia. I'm following farm and you're great. Good luck
Thank you Roman and thanks for watching - MIke
If you are willing to leave contact, when can I reach you on live chat or something similar, please do, I have a few questions and I think you can help me. Thanks in advance and once more greetings from Croatia, good luck!
You can always email us at ourwylife@gmail.com thanks
That’s what put us out of farming the neighbors dogs killed our early spring Caves and we never could recover from that. Two 80lbs bull dogs ended 40years of a way of life for us it only took them a few weeks to do it. You better keep and eye out for this problem when they start it will be every night till they stop or you kill them.
We do keep a close eye and I think all the neighbors know the policy, but it only takes one. I'm so sorry to hear of your situation. Thank you for sharing and watching - Mike
I like your videos. Thank you for sharing!
You have done a video of the tractors, maybe it is time for a video on the truck. Maybe even a video of the trailers you use with the truck. Maybe even a video of the gator and its amazing uses!!!! Just ideas!!
Very good ideas. Thank you very much! - Mike
You still seem to make the not so glamorous jobs seem fun bud lol
Thats my secret plan! Then I can get people to volunteer to do them! lol Thanks Dale -Mike
I would love to help..always wanted to learn that type of stuff but dad rather drink when I was young and I'm 46 now so i might be too old to learn lol
+Dale Martin ALOT OF RANCH WORK IS OL FASHION COMMON SENSE !!
@@OurWyomingLife you need a ranch hand?I'd like to give it a try .
@@OurWyomingLife I've always dreamed of living on a ranch, but I guess the work is not all fun and glamour. Thanks for exposing the side that city folks like me would have no way of knowing about. That said, I'd still like to work or live on a ranch some day.
Happy steers! What about catching the shop runoff to water the steers with?
Not a bad idea, I would have to get a good sized tank to store it though, you'd be surprised how much runs off that roof. Thanks Christa! - Mike
Just started watching like the channel great job
Glad you found us and thanks for watching - Mike
Would you please post a picture of the gloves you mention you get from HD

Did you add your new job to the list? (Jj). Have a great day, thanks for letting us tag Long. Even on the bad, stinky jobs.🇺🇲
Mike- the opening of your videos sounds like a opening to a tv show in way i like the voice overs you do also i wish i lived on a ranch!...can you do a video on the horses that you have like maybe talk about were you got them and what do you use them for like if you ride them things like that
We are planning on getting the horses on video more this year. Once the weather straightens out. Thanks Tommy - Mike
While I can't actually smell your corals I can remember the smell and agree with you.
haha, you got it. Thanks Todd - Mike
im hooked on this.man if u could ever use a canadian hand id gladly spend the rest of my days workin on ur ranch.i have exp aswell
great video mike - Studied agricultural engineering in germany long time ago. direct talk from a real ranch professional - great stuff.
came here over good looking ranch videos from hall and hall and was thinking how was the income structure of those big dollar numbers.
So I learn a lot from videos from you. Seems to be there are a lot nonrancher ranches with hunting, horse breeding, party ranch/company ranches
Could you write a 3 liner how much real ranchers are on the ranch and what other types of ranching (People with much money who buy a ranch for recreation and who have not to live from?)
I know you have a lot to do.
Brave guy.
I really enjoy your videos
Judy
Hey mike, how many acres is your ranch?
I hunted antelope of a ranch on the east end of Gillette 8 or 9 years ago. Blizzard blew in early. Us southern California boys were not ready for that lol. Found out what lock DE icer was ,left the hotel and couldn't get the truck door to unlock. I would love to go back, really neat country.
We run over 5000 acres, if its the blizzard I'm thinking of then yes that was a good one. October snow can really do alot of damage. Thanks for watching - Mike
Good video I bet your getting anxious to start calving soon
Im ready to go, well actually I'm not but mentally I am, I still have alot to get together but long story short. Yes lol Thanks - Mike
