    Some you may have missed:
    Sun - plasma rain
    Mercury - Micro-meteoroid "rain"
Venus - active volcanoes; lightning; rainbows (Although not the traditional rainbows we have)
    Moon - Earthquakes (called 'moonquakes')
Mars - dust geysers; earthquakes (called 'marsquakes'); dry ice snow
Jupiter - liquid helium rain (theorized, not proven yet)
Saturn - diamond rain (theorized, not proven yet); has "earthquakes" that are moreso ripples in the gas giant's atmosphere
Neptune - diamond rain (theorized, not proven yet)
Uranus - diamond rain (theorized, not proven yet)
    Others:
Io (Jupiter's moon) - volcanoes; sulfur dioxide snow
Titan (Saturn's moon) - methane rain; dust storms
Pluto - nitrogen and methane precipitation; windstorms
Ganymede (Jupiter's moon) - water geysers
Enceladus (Saturn's moon): water geysers; water and ammonia snow
    Ceres: water geysers
Eris: atmosphere freezes and falls back down as snow (nitrogen ice and methane ice, often)
    Europa (Jupiter's moon): water geysers
    Exoplanets:
HD 189733b: rains glass horizontally at speeds of 5,400mph (8,700kph)
    WASP 76b: rains molten metal
WASP 121b: theorized to rain sapphires and rubies
There may be some I missed or forgot to add.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the reason why we're not getting random video recordings from Mars is due to data transmission limitations. Taking a video recording, then trying to relay to Earth would take a lot of time. Yes, apparently there are some videos taken by Curiosity, there were many images sent, as well as 360 degree (?) footage, but deep space communication still takes time and is intensive. If I got something wrong, please lemme know, I hope I'll see it

You should talk about Titan, the thickest atmosphere of any moon by far and the combination of that with the low gravity means a human in a spacesuit could probably fly there using big, muscle powered, flappy wings that they wear on their arms. Also Io has volcanic eruptions that spew stuff all the way out of its atmosphere into space and there are some really cool pictures of it. Also NASA is sending a nuclear powered drone to Titan to fly around called "Dragonfly". I hope we get some really good videos from that but likely more of the Mars drone quality type of stuff. Although I'm not sure why it wouldn't be possible to slowly beam back an HD, color video.

    • @mattsmith5421
      @mattsmith5421 8 місяців тому +4

Sulphur, I don't think it's sulphur that leaves the atmosphere tho but whatever it is reacts with Jupiter's magnetic field to intensify it. Io also losses one ton of mass every minute or maybe hour. I really should remember these things better seen as I watched a video on it over 30 times lol. That video is the moon's of Jupiter by sea if you're interested in them.

    • @JohnnyShagbot
      @JohnnyShagbot 8 місяців тому +4

The short answer is that most of the camera equipment which can record high definition, color video, is not hardened to survive the rigors of space. It's doable but would be expensive. Couple that with the transmission times and distances, and it would probably take months to get even fragments of the video. Remember that HD videos are often several gigabytes in size, and we don't send information packets that large through space yet.

3:00 solar tornados are so interesting, it really makes you think about how the same patterns exist but in different ways. many people get surprised when they find out fire tornados exist on earth
6:26 you should write a book about the venus cloud city
10:46 very nice of oppy to give us this static and these images. space photography and technology is so humbling
11:26 I am so jealous of people living 500 years from now because some people don’t even believe space exists for one, and then I’m trying to be like “look how cool this is!” and sometimes it’s literally the most underwhelming thing anyone has ever seen. repeatedly. this rant was necessary lol

I love the fact that mars' atmosphere is so thin that the dust devil just sounded like a light breeze xD

I love how educational your videos are. :D Space is fascinating and there's something amazing about there being weather on planets, and some even more terrifying than weather on Earth. Thanks for making this video.

When I was a kid I actually jumped into a dust devil. It was fun feeling the air swirl around me like that.

Awesome video very informative 🎉 liked and subbed ❤ also shout out utah😂 I fully agree about getting people excited for space. I remember being 6 at school and asking when do we learn about this and they said never 😂 Jupiter looks like it’s terraforming as well. Ahh so much space knowledge big up swegle❤

Upper-atmospheric Sprites and Elves are also really cool at least here on Earth, with us having video/images of sprites. It's crazy to think about how in some other larger planets, different types of lightning or atmospheric events might actually be stacked up upon one another and we might not be able to see the kind of weather going on deeper into the planets.
