Such fantastic quality considering it's age. This is something we should all be doing - getting the town on film - so that one day, our children, and our children's children can see how life was 'back then'. I would be interested to see all of Peter's footage.
That bus would have been hired from Smith's Luxury Coaches- which were painted blue and orange. They would pull up outside our school and take kids to swimming lessons at Arthur Hill Memorial Baths in the Kings Road -up from the Huntley and Palmer biscuit factory. I never went there but I do remember freezing my nuts off at the open air Kings Meadow pool which is probably why I avoided Arthur Hill which was heated.My first primary- the Hill School had its own swimming bath!
