Just sold it .. moved to dubai . Would be buying a jeep Grand wagoneer .
Car is very good .. but if you are only going to drive in city & slow speed , the mileage is a big problem .
Check for service centre , if it’s close to you or not . Secondly they have reduced the price as well now & have got more option . Like sunroof in Longitude version as well .
Go for diesel automatic 4x2 & love happy

I have Almost done 1.5 yrs now , no rattles , AC is perfect . Mileage in bumper city traffic is 6-7 kmpl you drive fast or slow .
But if you are on open roads for 30 mins with speeds 80-100 , you get 11-12 mileage easily
The top model S must have interior colour options. Beige or white interior looks fresh and spacious as against all black
I bought variant - limited just bcoz of the interior colours brown - white option. My earlier car had full black interiors & I wanted little airy feel inside .
I know right even I’m little sceptical about the all black interior...i like the white more but at the same time i wanr to go for the top end
Maintaining beige and white interiors in Indian conditions is extremely difficult.

Hi buddy, what abt the AC performance of the car. I have been hearing the car Ac isn’t up2 the mark in sweltering heat. Could you please throw some light.
Many people tend to compare the AC with a sedan car . If you set the right temperature 18-20degree in summers it gives enough cooling . I personally have not faced any issues with cooling . Since it has auto climate control , setting the correct temperature based upon weather is important .

MG hector is good but no power and long vehicle for parking in busy roads .
Jeep is like brand statement will definitely last 10years for u . Jeep only needs one service per year or 15,000km .
If ur looking automatic Petrol then , both vehicles are poor on mileage . But Jeep has better performance

Diesel has more torque . If you love diesel cars then opt for it .
Petrol is slow mover below 2000rpm .
I would suggest u test drive both & decide . Also Petrol was my choice for many reason , since I drive less , less maintenance .

Remote engine start stop , is till not released in this JEEP life app. May be in future . This feature frankly speaking of very less used even by MG hector owners .

Taigun 1.5 dsg if you are not very tall more than 6ft.
Also taigun will better if you prefer automatic . Since diesel automatic In jeep compass is only 4x4

Is Manual transmission only available in lower variant? The variants look weird, as even top spec Petrol doesn't get cruise control. If the car is so expensive, they could have at least given proper options in variants. I would have like to get a Petrol MT in S model, with cruise control and 8 airbags. The car is brilliant, but they missed the trick in variants
Height wise spare tyre is always same otherwise car will be tilted on one side
Basically they reduce rim size and increase tyre side wall size.
Also the speed based alarm feature is mandatory by government and all new cars have it

Drive Creta and Jeep Compass in city traffic on the same day and then you decide. Most of us drive in the city for almost 80% plus. So its important to drive both of them on the same day.
Driving 1 day anyways can not achieve the satisfaction that you want
I got a new model s option 2 it has an option to turn off speed warning or change it for higher speed
You can turn it off from MID : Agreed .
But as soon as you go about 120kph , there will be warning ⚠️ sound by default To alert you . This cannot be turned off
I wanted to have limited without that sunroof.. any challenges did u face with that.. my priority was six airbags unfortunately not getting in longitude
Can’t agree more . Only limited variant has 6 airbags .
But even longitude is as safe as limited , you may go for it without a doubt .

Hi, I am about to book Jeep compass but confused with color option. I like red color with black roof. But worry on maintaince of the color and if it gets dull over years. Looking at this white looks a safer option. Also did you got any PPF coating on the car ?
Yes I have done a PPF on the color .
Choose any color of your favourite choice , if you are spending so much .
You may also do a good ceramic coating , to increase the longevity of Red color .
Mind you the color used by JEEP brands is far more superior then other Indian Car manufacturers. Once every 3 yr do a ceramic .
If PPF , then don’t worry for atleast 5-6yrs

I’m a bit confused b/w diesel limited and s variant and manual and auto.Heard many people saying that auto is not best tuned for diesel.33 lakhs is too much for the top end diesel auto but I need those features in the top end variant.I can even go with a manual limited diesel one.Please assist me to go for a better choice mainly city driving and would keep a car for minimum 7 years.

Buy a diesel Manual , will always keep you happy . Limited & above variant is good choice undoubtedly

Hey bro ,we just took delivery of the Limited Petrol Variant and within barely a couple of days i can hear some rattles from the left hand side back door whenever driven over bad roads .Have you faced anything similar yet?
Never , I have been using it for past 8months .
Either doors panel are loose or footboard ( inside is loose )
Also the tool kit could be rattling
Only build quality is the best but Indian need milage and low maintenance. Space and inner space also important.

8:50 that alarm feature above 120 kmph, that you mentioned isn't just a jeep feature, in particular. It is a regulatory requirement of all BS6 engines.

How much ur getting in your city? If it is 9kmpl i am more than happy (i drive about 1800 kms per month only in city) and i will go ahead and book my compass. Please advise
1800km/month : go for diesel manual simple . You will be very happy .
I have been to Hyderabad & you got good roads . If you are buying a Petrol manual : 9kmpl it’s achievable only if you light footed on acceleration.
Petrol Automatic with AC will only give you 7-8kmpl in city on short drives if 20-40km range drives .
If you are looking for manual car then please buy diesel . It’s the best no doubt with good average of. 11 kmpl in city . But automatic diesel variant is very costly & only 4x4 available I think .
There are other cars too : safari & Xuv700 just launched .

Sunroof is tinted by the factory itself . Yes any glass surface would need cleaning in Indian weather condition . A good cleaner daily would help

If you are milega guy and want a Petrol ⛽️ car : then don’t buy either of these vehicles not even JEEP .
If you are a diesel lover & interested in manual car then buy JEEP

If you wish to keep a car for long term & love doing long trips regularly then , go for JEEP diesel manual

Rest up to you . jeep handling & braking & controls are far superior then Tata & MG .

I think , if you are looking for bigger CAR & love big cars : then off course no doubt go for the all wheel drive Xuv700 top model diesel auto .
Only problem is waiting time for this XUv 700 is 6-8months

Else the turbo will give you very good feedback if throttle is pressed hard
While test drive when I press little hard the paddle I feel it’s under power .. not getting sudden power .. however other DCT like hector or creta give good pick up .. what’s your view !
Yes Amit , initial days I used to feel the arm . But ow after 2000kms in odometer . The car has been better responsive after 1500rpm

Even i have limited petrol major issue is AC cooling.My VW vento 5 years old cools the cabin far faster than Jeep Compass.

You have to hold camera icon for 2 sec and then drag it . Let me know if it worked

Do a system reset ( factory default ) & try again . Use the camera widget first

Length is 4.4 meter , ground clearance 20.8 cm
Price starts onroad from 20.5 lakhs to 32lakhs

Very poor ground clearance for the suv stance....even brezza has better than this ....however driving at 100kmph through is lub ❤️❤️❤️....overall way too expensive to maintain and slightly overpriced...hyundai tuscon has better vfm quotient than compass and harrier is best vfm in this category...
Brezza ground clearance is 19.8cm (198mm) & Jeep Compass 20.8cm .
Now : VFM ( value for money )
Compass : maintain the same standard of safety / features / Material for all compass sold in India & outside India . It’s a global car with same quality for India . Cost is high due to material used & safety & engine power + brand
Tucson: in India Hyundai is still sellin the old version , while rest of world they have rolled out the new version last year itself . Even if it comes to India , the specs & quality change to fit the Indian price bracket . Please check urself & I am saying facts.
Harrier: only available in diesel . Yes it’s a good car . Wish they share the crash test . Also add automatic Petrol ⛽️. Harrier , is big bulky car for me in city . I agree , harrier is good VFM if all engine options are available with 4wd
Jeep Compass : maintenance is once ever year or 30,000km . If you look at average cost of service first 3 years is 10,500₹ / year . Automatic car if abused in driving , can rip your pocket hard.

Extended warranty was not included. I purchased it later .
In fact in the top end S veriant and especially in Black & Techno Green Color they should give light grey color interiors

It has 5 seats , but I would say for long distance journey it’s a 4 seated
I bought Model S Diesel Automatic, not a good buying experience overall, but I chose to ignore. However within a week I noticed that driver side door has many colour bubbles. Now they offer repainting of the door from their local work shop. Very unprofessional treatment from Jeep. Good luck to prospective Jeep buyers.
hello. thanks for your review. i also own jeep compass 2021. my query is : After turning of the engine rear interior lights turn on. How can i turn it off permanently ?
Firstly I would suggest : turn the rear window light off manually. You have to push the light itself to turn them off / On .
Secondly , when the doors open . Thr interior light do come ON . When ur lock the shut all doors & lock the car , the interror light stay ON for a while and then turn OFF .
There is a setting in the infotainment, to turn the interior lights off completely when Doors open and close. Try that .

Recently I touched an autorickshaw in front , I didn’t feel a jerk . But the riskshaw guy got a huge jerk . The front bumpers absorbed all the resistance

Hi, I am facing noise from the steering, Its a kind of vibrating noise, it's very low..
Limited diesel MT.. post delivery it's 5 days now and 500 km run.
Any Jeep owners reading this comment, have you ever experienced this issue ?
If yes what is the problem severity ?
Weird , is this vibration with a noise ( rattling ) . Please try readjust the steering to stock height & reach position . If still there is a problem which is annoying , then visit a dealer . Check it under warranty . Also drive some other car and experience the same .
