- It all started with a comment from Mark, who hails from the UK, expressing a wish to drive on the road to Genting after watching many of our videos.
When Mark got here, we got together, and I offered to take Mark and his son Simon on a taxi ride up our favorite mountain.

Welcome to Malaysia mark and Simon...my wife's car is a 2016 Mazda 6 touring...lovely car it is a little a short on power , but it handles great and has a nice engine note

@@markh9929 yes he is a ex rally champion....plus he had lots of practice...you are quite lucky in the UK, cause you are able to buy the Mazda 6 touring 2.2 diesel, which is an absolute performance machine compared to the 2.5 natural aspirated version....and you do have lovely roads up in the Scottish Highlands and the Welsh countryside... hopefully you are able to come to Malaysia on your next holidays, rent a car and try our many other lovely mountain roads in Malaysia

A very quiet drive indeed… if there weren’t so many cars on the road, I’d suppose we would hear more from Mark and Simon as they squeal with delight while cringing in their seats… ehehehe. Lucky fellas!

Station wagons are such a rare sight nowadays. I would rather have one than a SUV. By the way, the rear camera view looks like magic....like a screen embedded on the roof lining!

An automatic tran swift to manual mode to drive that hill, I don't see much of a gear swift there, though it was fast but loud engine rev there. However, it was a smooth uphill vroom. Good execution on every bend. Thumbs up for YS driving skill!
Actually the drive was smooth, so smooth that you almost do not get the sensation of speed. It is faster than many other cars. The actual timing may not be as fast as some of our runs, mainly because of traffic, but this car is no slouch.

I like the rumbling noise of the Mazda 6 in this video. It's very sporty.
Yes, Mazda planned the exhaust noise levels as part of the experience - makes you feel alive when you are accelerating

Hi uncle, for the touring do you feel that rear feels too soft so that it wobbles through corners? I've tried driving the 6 touring but lack confidence on corners due to the "bouncy" feel of the rear
No, it didn't bounce at all.

Hii Uncle Ys Khong, is the push pull method the safest? i saw a few youtuber driving up to genting, the way they turn the steering makes me scared...
There are 2 methods. Tbe push pull method minimises the risk of one's arm being hit by an exploding airbag.
The hand over hand method is good for cars with close ratio syeeting, but many people do it wrong, and get their hands crossed.
It is also a good metjod, but like all moves, it must be done right.
Some people end up holding the steering with just the thumb and one finger at some point - not a strong grip. And some run out of road because their hands get locked up.
Uncle, what is your opinion about gear transmission used by mazda n cvt? Is there any clear different between this two type of gear?
They are very different.

Hi I'm Allan from Kenya..the Mazda 6 is my favorite but I've not seen you drive the gt reserve/signature variant with the 2.5ltr skyactive turbocharged engine..I'd love to hear from you how it perfoms..if this is from the basic variant then I presume the other ones better 😂
We dont have it here, but the 2.5 is a nice car.

These were the stock tyres, and they were pretty good. Good driving also counts.

Touring, anytime.
Dont know if you notice Uncle Khiong. You got 3 boyracer trying to challenge you. A yellow swift sport, a black satria and white volvo i think. Quite a contenders themselves. Eventually you smoked all of them.
Actually they are my friends, coming along for the drive.

We really dont know because I cannot remember when I last tested a V60. Sorry about that.
why Mazda still using a 6speed gearbox after so many years? some car makers already using 10speed.
