This works on the Versa 2 as on 12/15/22. I'm very excited to finally figure this out. I wonder if this was always there or if added in an update. I did find it difficult to get to the controls by opening the music app. But when I set the side button to open music controls, it works flawlessly! I gave up on figuring this out 3 years ago when I got it. Brings new life back into the device. It seems to work with all audio apps on my phone. I really like the volume + and - on the watch.

@StonedNoob, thanks for watching & comment. I had done almost 50 videos about versa when fitbit launched versa lite & since most of versa videos can work for versa lite I had changed the title. Versa lite does not have on board music on it but you can try long pressing the left side button & see if the controls appear as touch buttons.

I bought versa 2 today and my Bluetooth settings go from pair to off automatically in some time. I have to then reconnect my phone. Any idea how to overcome that?

My watch is slow to update the name of the track for when I play a new track (I have a Ionic (classic) but it works the same). Is this because I have too much music? (over 700+ songs)
@Luke Queen, thanks for watching & comment. I guess its because of a lot of songs. It doesnt happen to me I would max have 100 songs. Before you remove songs try rebooting both your phone and watch together and try to remove un wanted apps from watch that may fix it sometimes if not than go ahead and remove un wanted songs. Does the music control work on other apps like UA-cam Music and other streaming services? And can you control music while a workout session is on on the watch?

@Ron Spidey, check if volume buttons are working on your phone if they are go in the settings of the music app, i dont know which phone you are using but I have galaxy s8 and find if somthing over there is causing this issue. Like in my phone I have turned off smart volume so I can control volume with my watch, I have options like "control music using lock screen" & "music with screen off" are on so I can control volume with my watch. Is it possible to control google play music playing back from the mobile pls?

Yes it is possible to control google play music provided your phone is connected to versa classic and than start playing the music on google play & long press the left side button to access the music control. Does the music control work on other apps like UA-cam Music and other streaming services? And can you control music while a workout session is on on the watch?

Volume buttons Are not working
@Ron Spidey, check if volume buttons are working on your phone if they are go in the settings of the music app, i dont know which phone you are using but I have galaxy s8 and find if somthing over there is causing this issue. Like in my phone I have turned off smart volume so I can control volume with my watch, I have options like "control music using lock screen" & "music with screen off" are on so I can control volume with my watch. If all is fine try rebooting you phone and watch together. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching by the way; and Merry Christmas.
