I have a fiberglass pop top that was built by an old farmer in the 70s. I live in it but I haven't done anything to it yet. You have given me loads of ideas for making mine more comfortable and functional. Thank you, your build video was awesome.
That’s awesome! I would love to see your camper if you have it posted anywhere. Check out Facebook group homemade campers. Check out my tour of the camper video for even more ideas. Please Subscribe too. ua-cam.com/video/YQDQbv6oOVU/v-deo.htmlsi=3ghijO3-tdJkLLPt
I absolutely love what you did ♥️ I found one on marketplace that was not nearly as bad and wanted to do the same thing.. I graduated LTU Slfd, Michigan Arch/Design.. I know I could.. it's like building a model lol just bigger..same cost! Lol we spent oddles of $$$..on supplies. .anyway..I passed it up thinking I had better options and more time... Guess what.. I'm still not on the road!!! You are Awesome 😎 I really enjoyed your smooth and cool relaxed way of working.. reminded me of my late hubby.. hope to see you on the road soon.. I will be exploring all of Michigan 👍🏾😎✊🏾🎉🪷
Nice with your background this kinda work should come with ease for you as you dive in. Every step I spent time thinking about how to build this. It really was a challenge to squeeze in so many amenities into a camper with interior dimensions of 6’x6’. I absolutely love its compact, lightweight, easy to tow, comfortable design. I hope you find one to do yourself. Don’t be afraid to take on such a project. Worst case scenario people gut these and use them for just hauling trailers too. Try not to spend a lot I still see these for free all the time. They tend to be on the junky side. Really all you need is a set of good wheels and axle. The floor can also be changed out. Thank you for all the positive vibes it really means a lot to me hearing from people, it’s just as rewarding as my final project. Keep your eyes peeled for me this summer I will be hitting camp grounds in Michigan. Come say hi! Please Subscribe if you haven’t already and check out my other videos. I do tons of handy stuff. Also check out the inside tour video. ua-cam.com/video/YQDQbv6oOVU/v-deo.htmlsi=sL1KGOHZ50bOnu7e
I noticed your plywood is delaminated on the bear decal wall. You could cover the entire upper section in truck bed liner. It will seal it and make it really tough.
Yeah I actually strongly considered using truck bed liner. I wound up using boat gel coat. I will keep updating the channel with updates on its life. Plus I am thinking gel coat is smoother and easier to clean. Not sure. Anyways Please Subscribe
I would buy that now please!!! Good job brother watch your build this morning and watching this now! New subscriber
Nice! I’ve thought about selling this one. I am not in a position to build a new one at the moment. Only way I’d sell. I want to build one that is a toy hauler and mini camper. Thanks for the subscribe 😀
That's good. Everything you need and nothing you dont. Cool.
Pretty much my aim, I mean its a bit more on the "glamping" side I guess... I have roughed it many years of my life. However, having a small camper forces you to spend time outside inside a hotel room on wheels lol.
Very neat custom build lot of great ideas

Spectacular job Brother thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise and for taking us on your adventure

Nice job. It looks so comfortable.
Thank you! It’s very cozy and comfy. Plus I can watch TV and Movies too while camping on rainy days.
Well done, sir! Well done! 😊
Thank you so much! I love hearing from the viewers ☺️
Amazing how much you can fit into such a small space like that.
Love it
Thank you!
It is so perfect!
It really did come together nicely. I actually love it more than if I were to buy a brand new one. It exactly fits me. Thank you for the comment and if you haven’t already, please subscribe. I am always adding more to my camper project.

never seen one of these before
Nice well I’m glad you came across mine first. There have been a few others on UA-cam that tries to make these but honestly I think mine is more thought out than others with more amenities and creature comforts. I highly recommend doing one they are fun! I got my junk camper for free and built it up. If you want to see the whole build process I have filmed everything. I also made one big video with a quick walkthrough. ua-cam.com/video/QPnJ41UA0ns/v-deo.htmlsi=AS3XywuTVFq9mvlQ

Your carbon monoxide detector needs to be on the floor not at the top of the ceiling. you'll be dead before that thing ever goes off if you have a leak.
I did not know that. Thank you I will move it right away!
@@Jeep-Creep Propane is heavy and it goes to the bottom of the floor when you have a leak. 👍👍
@@robintaylor1084 that’s what I get for not reading the manual better
You don't put it on the floor either lol but not on the ceiling either
@@scottlaraway258 Just somewhere in the middle? I am going to need to look it up now
So thoughtfully done! All the details make the difference! So happy for you! Thanks for sharing this link and yes, I did sub. :)
Thank you! I absolutely love my little camper
Amazing! You should make these and sell them. You've done even more. I would like to see a pan of the room from the door on your future projects to get an idea of the size. You are so close up it's hard to tell how it looks as a whole and how much room is in there. Thank you for doing this.
I thought about converting popups and selling them. Not just because of the profit, but also because I enjoy doing it so much! I think my angle would be selling them for FAR less than even the home built teardrops people build. They usually charge around $10,000 which is the same price as buying from a manufacture. I think I could sell these and clear a good profit at $5,000. I would need to improve the wood surface more, people are so stuck on a perfectly smooth surface, like an outer fiberglass, sanded, primed, painted surface. Others just use truck bed liner. It's totally overkill. I was a bit overkill on mine using Gel Coat which boats use, because its indefinitely waterproof forever. Unlike regular paint, stains, sealers, or polyurethane. Some also build their outer shell out of aluminum, very expensive, and doesn't really add any extra longevity. I might work on a process for the shell and attempt to sell these. Some people may not like my corners as well that are the aluminum angle irons, but they are bullet proof, you can hit a tree and it won't damage the trailer at all. This thing is strong as a tank now, unlike it's beginnings. The one down side to this model. I used the smallest camper Coleman ever made. It's basically a 6' x 6' floor space, it's very tight, fits 1 person well, 2 people can fit in it, but tightly. So if I do another one, I would look at doing a 6' x 12' because of this reason. I would also like to do a wet bath/bathroom as well. Be honest too, if I sold this one, what do you think I could get for it? What can I improve? I am very open to constructive criticism. Also if you haven't Please Subscribe, I have more updates coming.
@@Jeep-Creep I would say $6-7K. You have all the modern conveniences and those should be optional so the price is adjustable. If you can add those on a budget your profit goes up.
@@ladalangok good yeah I think I can make a profit to after covering supplies and my time. I am going to do some math to check the costs of supplies. Obviously I am going to try to make it look more manufactured and polished. Stay tuned I might start this new project.
@@Jeep-Creep it looks polished. It's handcrafted one of a kind so it's not going to look factory made.
@@ladalang I like it a lot. People make their builds look so bland. I used different colors and decal on the back. I love it!
Looks amazing now u did a hell of a job

Those class d little audio amps are cool.
I've got about 4 or 5 of different makes and models.!!!! They don't require much power at all.
Awesome! I didn't even know their class. I just read up on its power consumption and wattage output and it has a few Tone adjustment knobs, its really a GREAT amplifier! I have tested how loud and how much bass and clarity it has, its amazing. I am sure there is better stuff out there, but for the price and quality I am absolutely amazed.

I love it it turned out great and so cute. i do wonder how you feel about the loss of the 2 double beds that came as part of the pop out feature?
Easily my least favorite part of my build is the loss of 2 double beds. I went into this build planing on a solo camper. If you want to sleep 2 people it’s not happening. This camper also bear in mind is itty bitty to begin with. It’s the smallest popup that’s ever been made with a 6ft x 6ft floor plan. Super small. I only needed to sleep myself and that’s all. Now if I wanted to sleep 2 people. I would have simply used the same design but with a 6x10 popup design. And use a full or RV queen (shorter than standard queen). If I wanted to sleep more, I would have went with a 6x12 or 6x15 popup and either do a full Murphy bed on the other side or if kids maybe a static bunk bed and I also would have had room for a static bench seat and bathroom. Space is everything. My goal was to have full amenities, and the best nights sleep money can buy and let me tell you a 10 inch thick memory foam mattress, with AC and heat and black out curtains yeah I can sleep comfortably in any temperature and any amount of outside side. It’s so nice!!! And it’s super easy to tow. I don’t even unhitch or level my trailer. I literally park and go. I love it!! ❤️❤️❤️ Please Subscribe and follow my updates

How much was the total cost of all the repairs and things that you have?
The most basic of repairs, not including upgrades. About $330 dollars. With the upgrades I would have to itemize them all. Let me know which ones, I can give you a price list. How do you not run out of power on your battery ? I know just that little heater is 800 watts and all the powerbanks I've found are usually under 2,000 wh
Easy. I do not use electric heaters when offgrid. I use my Chinese diesel heater. On a fuel tank of fuel I never run out the whole week. It sips electricity as well. If you haven’t please subscribe and follow my progress

@@Jeep-Creepdo u have a link for the fireplace? Love it!
How does it tow particularly in the wind? how far would you pull it?
@@StanLang it actually tows really straight even in wind. I mean I do have a bigger SUV Chevy Tahoe which probably helps cut down wind resistance. So far I have towed it on smaller 3 hour trips on the freeway. I tow at 65mph (for fuel efficiency). I burn maybe 4mpg I think more than normally. I can double check next trip. The trailer weighs 1660lbs. How far would I pull. Mmm don’t know. Wasn’t planing any trips outside Michigan yet. UP is about 8 hours. So maybe up to 8 hours right now.
