You think you go on a nice little train coaster to relax and enjoy the theming......WRONG!
This ride is deceptively intense and even scary at some parts, in the dark ride part I actually thought I would be launched out of the seat and I screamed my head off.
It was......AWESOME!
that dark part took me by surprise as well :D
I though it would be like big thunder Mountain.. but noooooo...
Was there yesterday and I took my 5 yo son Who is usually a big fan of kiddie coasters.... the second lift he asked if it was over yet..
first time i went on this i was ''yeah im gonna warm myself up before going to big ride'' haha i didn't know that this ride WAS the big ride ! definitely the strongest and craziest mine train i have been on in the world
True
sitting in the very back make it feel sooooo much faster!
Dan Copsen Is the same thing in other coasters.
not in every one..
Jonas Broch Yes, but that isn't a very Special thing.
in the taron, it feels faster when you sit in the front cart. Colorado feels faster in the back.
Maaskantje Space Productions that is because the last wagon always gets pulled with when the first is already going down somewhere the back is still at the other side but gets pulled with and that‘s why sometimes the back is way worde
My favorite ride. Ride it over 250 times ❤️
Even on video you can feel the solidness of the ride as well the rumble through out.! Nice track and great curves and no skimping on time. Scary dark parts! Laughed when the Tower of Terror roller coaster came screaming by!
Gotta love the low dipping helix at the end. Good ride though sometimes a bit painful for taller folks :D
This looks so slow and boring, compared to when you're actually on it yourself.
its feels dfntly faster when you in it :D
To be completely honest, riding this is a LOT more exciting than riding the Black Mamba.
The dark part is the fastest.. but its a family coaster even for childs.. its really fun.. trust me :)
Yea
Wtf w3sp you her?
Best mine coaster in the world!
Ich liebe diese Bahn!!!
In my first time there, the park already had Taron and everything. I just noticed this was Phantasialand after seeing Black Mamba.
They sure stuffed a lot of ride in a small area.
I'm glad it's a Michael Jackson thrill ride because if I went there I could show them my MJ moves.
It's not anymore
Me toooo
MJ moves 😂😂😂😂😂
Love the tracks Perfect for the theme
A+...somebody said slow/boring....they're trippin!....this is a very good mine train like ride!....with great length...
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
That is a nice tribute to Michael Jackson a rollercoaster after he song thriller 👍🙂
Love it sooo much. Seems so "sweet" but it is so fast, funny- devil inside😍
Great shot!
Beste Achterbahn !!! War heute 10 mal nacheinander drauf
Isso
Maybe the best minetrain coaster in the world?
it competes with all the Big Thunder Mountain versions of Disney definitely
I like the Michael jackson part the best
Right!?
Michael Jackson was on the ride when it was built
MJ "opened" the ride during the 1996 season of the park. He was the first official guest to take the ride.
This park has the best theming
Kleine feine Bahn ! ! !
THE LITTLE BOYS LOVE THIS RIDE
hinten is alles schneller haha
THE LITTLE BOYS LOVE THIS RIDE😊
Mit einer der besten Bahnen im Park
weird to see it without all of chiapa's new refurbishmentfor the ride
I love it at night
Gosh at the time this videa Was Released, the Chiapas didnt existed yet xc
What does this have to do with Michael Jackson?
He officially openend the coaster
@@jaydenkoet600 He has taken over the partnership for this roller coaster until a certain period of time.
Its his favourite Coaster
It’s abusive to children!
normantrombon Its good fun!
No Michael Jackson music or anything about Michael Jackson on the ride?
On top of the second lift hill I heard a few Michael Jackson voices but I couldn’t hear anything else
It was opened by Michael jackson
Is it just me or does the theming look AWFUL?
@@----5247 The ride is 23 years old.
@@spy2859 I understand. But so is big thunder mountain, splash mountain, etc
This was obviously before Chiapas was built.
Colorado Adventure...in Germany?
Yes!!!
Justin because it’s based on the gold mines in colorado
What???!?
Black Mamba.. in GERMANY? NANI the park is called fuckin phantasialand = fantasieland so yea....
Ride staff can say yes or no. It's actually up to the park and what the policy is for Staff, Cast Members or Team Members to say to guests.
It’s like a modernized big thunder mountain, in fact, I think it might even be better.
Omg I was on this with a bunch of friends and one of my friends was at the front holding his middle fingers up then when we got of we bought the ohoto it's the funniest Rudd picture I've ever seen 😂
this ride gave me whiplash - if you are a grown adult it can be dangerous due to the combination of strong lateral and vertical Gs at the same time. There is one drop in the dark section around 1:24 that is especially dangerous.
I know what you mean! It pushed me forward. I tend to ' roll up' in coasters that drop really pushed me in
what if we held hands on the michael jackson roller coaster ???? :o
It's themed after an industrial mine. Just like Michael Jackson
my advice for this ride: Sit in the back! because when youre going over a hill, the ones at the front will just "gently" slide down while you will be launched over the hill ad high speeds
can someone tell me why this is the only Vekoma Mine train that uses wheels instead of a chain on the lifts? It seems way better than the noisy chains like on thunder mountain.
Tomtycoon The ride often is still really fast, while coming at the lift hills. So maybe because of the noise reduction or to avoid damage on the chains and on the vehicle, they decided to take wheels instead?
The wheels have the huge downside, though. They sometimes can't operate the coaster on rainy days because the trains don't make up the hills anymore
Tomtycoon if you sit in the front seat and come to the second hill for example, you are already almost at the top because the train comes in so fast and is so long, if it would have chains, you would lose all that speed in a second probably and the Gs will be to mucb
Due to the noise chains produce they would not have been allowed to build the ride. The partly coverings are also to reduce noise from the ride.
Looks really fun, especially the bits in the dark, but why is essentially a mine train themed as Michael Jackson??
Michael jackson opend this ride in 1996 and gave the coaster its by-name. Since 2013 its only called colorado adventure. Its still a very nice coaster. I rode it last week
It's a steel coaster not a wooden
Were they building Chiapas there o.o
Yes
You have to ride its dark, thats crazier.
Did I miss the Michael Jackson Sasquatch animatronic? Where is it?
No it’s called the Michael Jackson ride because he rode it back in 1996
Is it still there? I don't remember it in phantasialand
Yes it is, in the mexican theme area.
R. I. P. me (34,8 km/h)
Abandoned mines and Michael Jackson go hand in hand, didn’t you know?
Ty for clarifying that.
no chaipas??? mind blown.
homaygat que peligroso
homaygat
roooooooole was duaschn
What does micheal Jackson have to do with this?
That's what I was thinking.
@@themachine5957 Michael Jackson rode the ride in May 1996, one month after the ride opened. He also named the ride.
This has an extreme Immelmann.
What is the purpose of the chain in the track at 2:33?
It is to pull the train back into the brakes in the unlikely event that the ride stalls or valleys before getting there, which was a frequent occurrence during testing.
@@Captured.Thrills I think that's the reason too, but when I rode it several times, I felt like if the chain were starting to brake the train before the actual brakes, maybe is there to help a bit too when is going a bit fast
@@ggtontoyono Its completely for what RideFootage said, not for braking.
I was on this thing and I though i was going to fall out and die when i was 10
Left4Plamz me too HAHAH at the dark part I literally thought I died
I always thought, but nothing Can Happen. But it was always awesome
What is the big box thing blocking the view? That's a pretty huge mistake for this kind of footage.
Hi! That is a part of the rides theming and is a part of the ride vehicle. The footage was fillmed using an old camera of ours that could not be put any further away from that part of the ride and therefore we had no choice but to have it feature in our footage. We have plans in place to re-film this POV later this year!
Well, you are right in the fact that it is a steam locomotive, but the box is actually an old fashioned boxed headlight for the locomotive, back then, they hung over the front of the boiler of the locomotive
Lokomotive in german :)
I don't think he had much of a choice, it's part of the ride
flight chiapas
I wanna know how this is related to MJ, I know the name was changed, but why Michael Jackson?
Taron > Colorado Adventure > Black mamba
Next year:
Black Mamba < Colorado Adobe Flashplayer < Taron < F.L.Y
Yeah the Colorado Adobe Flashplayer coaster is really a game changer!
I dont get the theming
It‘s a mine train. There you go. Now you get the theming.
There was a big construction site during the filming of this video (Chiapas water ride). Try to find a video of Corolado Adventure made in 2014 or later and you'll see the finished theming. :)
Looks like a great mine train coaster, but I fail to see the Michael Jackson connection.
Michael jackson thrill ride? (Insert young boy joke here)
Geht die Colorado eventure Achterbahn über Kopf?
Annika Langner Nein, in normalen Waggons.
disclaimer at the beginning about being a professional ride recorder - covers 1/4 of the screen making it harder to see, lol.
The front train looks like a lokomotive. Thats part of the train.
Wait why Michael Jackson?
Michael Jackson visited the park while they were building this and they showed him a scaled model. Jackson liked it so much he had his name attached to the ride and ordered a copy to be built at Neverland as well. Phantasialand kept the name from the opening in 1996 until 2013.
@@OrangeStar222
That's awesome.
Why is it called the MJ thrill ride?
Why are people too lazy to google it?
Michael Jackson was there for the opening and was the "godparent" of the coaster. Thus the name "Michael Jackson Thrillride" (which has been removed some time ago)
Ich glaube die wurde etwas umgebaut
Nein wurde sie nicht
Is it only me or does it look different now?
Fuck you school ikr when I went there after watching this video i was like this is not the same ride lmao
I think they changed the theming a bit to go better with the Mexico theme. I also painted some parts green that were brown before. Maybe they also had to make some space for chiapas.
you can see in the video that they were building around it. Now it doesn't look so blank at some parts :)
@@akafloid9664 Oh! I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing this information 😊
I was on it and it shit my pants
Akoiuzggtrdds❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Wait is this based on Michael Jackson or what?
The ride was said to be Michael's favorite roller coaster :)
He sponsored it for Phantasialand so it was named after him.
Okay the roller coaster doesn't look as thrilling as people say it is and what does this coster to have to do with Michael Jackson it does not play none of his songs and it does not feature him on the ride it just looks like a regular kiddie coaster with a few drops and turns
Michael jackson took over the partnership for this ride.
Also this is in no way a kiddie coaster. When you sit in the back it really throws you around like crazy and it has a lot of airtime. It's definetly the best minetrain
Next time, let’s show us what the ride vehicle looks like, so we know what that annoying thing at the top of the screen is the whole time.
Um Michael Jackson thrill ride???
What does Michael Jackson have to do with this ride? Imagine Michael Jackson is on the track doing a rapid moonwalk trying to avoid getting run over by the coaster, grabbing at his crotch, and going, "Woo-woooo!"
Google it
Michael Jackson was there for the opening and was the "godparent" of the coaster. Thus the name "Michael Jackson Thrillride" (which has been removed some time ago)
A derelict shed on a bomb site? :-(
As of 2020 the sad news has come that this ride would be closed for the forseable future and will be demolished for a new ride...
RIP calorado adventure
Source?
@@soltoo6801 official website of Phantasialand
Not true...
I went on it last week. Its still open and there was no sign of a future closure
I was there 3 weeks ago and it's still there. And it wouldn't make sense to close this coaster
Very misleading, slow then bam fast and dark parts
the quality is sooooo bad!
Its from 2012. There was no GoPro or so -.-
CoasterImpression GoPro wasn't, but "or so" was :) :) :)
Sadly it uses our old camera equipment which has subsequently been replaced, we're hoping to work with the park soon to update this footage. RF
Tee hee
What part of this ride has anything to do with Michael jackson
Google it. Easy. You will have the answer within 30 seconds.
This ride is so rough and uncomfortable!!! You really need someone else beside you to break the bends!!!
What!?
Try to ride Silver Star! Colorado adventure is not rough or uncomfterble!
Okay, what makes this Michel Jackson?
This ride was opend by Michel Jackson on his visit in 1996
Why is this called “Michael Jackson ride”?
It from Micheal jacksons theme park
No it’s not. It’s from Phantasialand Germany.
@@TracysLeo10 oh well he had something to do with the rollercoaster that why it called Micheal jacksons or something
Michael Jackson was there for the opening and was the "godparent" of the coaster. Thus the name "Michael Jackson Thrillride" (which has been removed some time ago)
Do small kids get fondled on this ride by his ghost
Friction wheel lift hill with abrupt bends at the bottom and no anti-rollback? No thanks.
If there is enough friction to pull the train uphill there is also enough to hold the train. If not, the train would worst case roll back the same speed it came through the bend. Roll back is in the motor gears.
Also, there are brakes at the bottom of every lift hill. Perhaps they engage if there is a power out.
Traditional anti rollback would have been too noisy for the location of the park and ride.
Okay, I give up... what does this have to do with Michael Jackson?
He opend the coaster and gave it his by-name. Nowadays its only called colorado adventure. Still a very nice ride. I went on it last week
Idc if michael went on it 😭 this is too scary for me! Sorry M
I didn't see anything that resembled michael jackson.... Why is this called that
He visited the park relatively spontaneously one time and liked it pretty well - afaik. Then he came back to open this coaster as an official partner. I think he even bought some old parts of other rides from phantasialand that were not used anymore for his neverland ranch
i'm confused.... like i see ZERO references to Michael Jackson here lol
He was the godfather of this ride and opened it back in 96
ZERO Jesus Juice and monkeys at the end. Would not ride again one star ⭐️
