They are as complex and nuanced as anyone else - Cam has both typical feminine and masculine qualities. he loves the arts, theater, and drama but is also sporty, can work in a farm, was an athlete. etc. That's why it's such a great show, it has people that aren't just single-quality personalities

I feel like in a lgbt couple “Mother’s Day” would fall onto whomever does the majority of the childcare or in a case of equal balance or that one delivered the child and the other does the majority of the childcare afterwards then the couple in question could try to plan a nice spoiling day together

Straight people believing in non-binary even before it became a buzz word, gay men usually don't identify themselves like that and don't assume genders like that, as in one being the male and the other the female, but straight people cast those roles on them automatically. Of course, there are those who think of themselves as being more feminine but that rarely happens in a couple in which the other partner is assigned the opposite role, most gay couples being male-male. Even the top-bottom relationship does not mean that the top is more male while the bottom is female, but it does reflect the preference for dominance vs. submissiveness inherent in orthodox heterosexual couples, it very rarely means anything when it comes to gender self-perception and roles though.
