The thing is most eggs are daijoubu in general around the world.
Only in places like the U.S. where they have some weird laws that forces them to clean the egg to the point where they remove the natural protective layer, which keeps bacteria out, if they sell them.

Its not a law its a marketing strategy.
People in America have been convinced only white perfectly shaped eggs are safe to eat.
My mother is straight up afraid to eat the eggs that our farm chickens lay. As if somehow by magically washing them and painting them white they're safer.

To be clear by doing this you reduce the amount of people buying eggs from local farmers and you reduce the amount of people raising chickens in their back yard for eggs (legal in many cities.)

@@synppai4802 with the research i did it is indeed by law that they need to do this layed out by the United States Department of Agriculture if you want to sell your eggs to a consumer.

True, however I think that law was passed becsuse the average consumer wants pristine washed eggs.
In America we have a difficult time with food looking like... what it is.
My Dad won't eat a fish if the head is still on, everyone prefers chicken patties and nuggets over a whole roasted chicken.

Yes that's what I'm saying. Egg factories lobby for this and make it necessary for sale, then small farmers can't sell their product.
Its a long term marketing strategy. Not like.. an evil one or whatever. But its effective!
