I got suckered in on one of these deals lol. The S/D boxes have really been sucking lately. So much that I have enacted a hiatus for a couple months to let all the excess junk clear out! I always enjoy watching your videos brother 👍. 263 swords I have kept. 187 Sword like objects I have away/sold in yard sales. 612 pocket knives I kept 337 fixed blades and machetes in my possession. My wife hates BudK.......

I’m considering taking all of the stainless blades to a local blacksmith & having everything forged into one big billet for later machining into something else not sword like.
I recently bought two scratch and dent boxed from budk and it took two weeks to ship from the day it said it would be delivered. Then when I received the box I got duplicates, both boxes had the same three showcase katanas and one stainless steel fantasy sword. I was very disappointed.
I got a knife in my mystery bug out bag from BUDK it's called the 2nd amendment back-up Bowie I know nothing about it like who makes it it looks awesome but I can't even tell if it is full tang 🙂
I think it wasnt a bad haul if you just wanted some lookers except that machete is probably the best bit of the haul as united usually has good blades and eh sheaths and looks lol and now i want one

Doing great elgonz12! They are all stainless steel blades. Stainless is ok for knives and is great for less maintenance but can not be hardened and tempered like a good carbon steel. Swords and machetes do better if made from a high carbon steel.
@@VroomBox42 I have a few. Never had any complaints. I recently picked up a Cold Steel machete. Have to say I was impressed. 1055 high carbon. Had to tweak the edge a bit, but it's a war horse.

I didn’t comment much on the sheath but it was very well made. If it hadn’t been raining I would have gone out & tested the machete.

I got a few machetes and 2 fixed blades.. not Bowles. I like one of the machetes and they are nice cheap fixed blades. Overall.. meh.
Did you ever get the second scratch and dent sword box? Was it the same cheap crap you got in the box last weak?

You know BudK owns United Cutlery, right?
Yes. They have a whole bunch of brands but, U.C. Is generally one of the better brands.
I have the hungry hank, its ok lol. Not my best quality knife but definitely best looking lol
