    Neace you should go through some of the mechanical errors too.
    Like in the second VOD, you didn't point out obvious mechanical errors like flashing really early as pyke and also relying way too much on charged Q. He could of killed Nillah 100% of the time with a short Q for damage

    • @TheWam316
      @TheWam316 11 місяців тому +6

      Tbh there's no reason highlighting mechanical errors. The guy is low elo, he'll figure those things out eventually through playing the game enough... he needs to learn the basics first

      Then he simply could say that he should had backed off and be happy with taking Shen.
      "You did good, but you both overcommited as you said. Nice, good to see that you realise that."
      Neace instead went through with it to just elaborate on how stupid of a play it was for going into Nilah between 2 minnion waves of her at lvl 2, telling him that its a bruiser like adc and yadda yadda.
      Get to the point already...
      1. You either risk and overcommit but make sure you improve your mechanics. Because that was indeed a possible kill aswell.
      2. Back off and just be content with getting Shen, no need to coinflip like that at lvl 2 for a bigger lead than you already established. Thats the biggest risk you could take.
      As for the third vod it was meh. In contrast to the previous one at least he literally walked up to them before doing his thing like Neace instructed but it did not really worked out due to lack of mechanics AND yes a somewhat late lvl 2 mid fight which is what Neace is pointing out basically. Neace going all about taking that lvl 2 faster as if it would make any difference, it would only scare the opponents off before forcing any play especially when they are close to their tower.
      Sure he wants him to get the fundamentals right. But when it comes down to mechanics he should be pointing it out.
      "Oh that was a misplay, purely mechanical one, you will get better at it over time and through playing more matches before getting confident, explore the limits of your champion that you are playing. Not hating on you but that play was inaccurate, you could had executed it way more efficiently. At least you are trying/limit testing thats a good sign as far as individual mechanics goes."
      Neace is the kind of coach who wants to make you feel stupid and then enlighten you with analogies and some weird pseudosophisticated concepts.
      Do not get me wrong he is a good coach, but even his elaborations at times feel wacky or overcomplicated. I hope its only because he wants to stall time and make the money wasted on his coaching "worth" in a way, than giving some obvious tips and quick breakdown about the most important details.

      @@something4179 I think the focus on the level 2 is correct. I agree mechanics will improve over time. Most people struggle with taking in too many ideas at once. Especially in low elo, the game is pretty overwhelming. Focus on the biggest issue. Work on that. Once that's improved, reassess the biggest issue. Mechanics come with time and muscle memory. If it becomes the biggest issue, it can become the focus.
      Your use of the phrase "that was indeed a possible kill" to me shows that you're focused on the wrong thing. "indeed" shows confidence, but then you end with "possible". In the end, you're not sure. A good level 2 is always a good thing. That's an objective you can consistently execute. "possible kill" is not consistent. It's not a good learning objective. A play or decision is not good because it worked out. A play isn't bad because you die trying to pull it off.
      "obvious tips and quick breakdown about the most important details" - I think you're off on what's most important, so the coaching critique is also flawed. Sure he words things strangely at times, but it's a live coaching, and who knows what the client is going to be like. And obviously you're making these judgements as a successful coach yourself, no? Since it's so easy.

      I agree with most of what you stated but here is the issue. The game does not work with confidence most of the time but actual performance, just because you may have a good idea that does not make it your best option or course of action. Because just like you said, in the end it might not work. Thats why i express that feeling uncertainty. Those who talk as if they can perform into detail a certain play-fight are just overconfident, outplays are always a thing you should be careful of, otherwise we would be seeing even more often agressive/flashy plays in esports. And as far as coaching goes i couldnt care much, i just find it weird that he could use oversimplified analogies and help the client to easiy learn yet he keeps complicating even them. Making it seem as if he explains art or something extremely unique science which is not. Either way its sad that i can still see him struggle to coach for a person who has dedicated so much time into it. But honestly i barely can see the effort, all and all i can see projection of a sciolist.
      In short-PS:
      On paper-Theory we all can be masters but upon action-Play we all differ hence the reason you are still X rank while you could be higher or even lower than you currently are.

    but low elo is so hard , i haven't play for 5-6 years , last night i played again and it was a nightmare , i was begging my support don't push now , he kept auto , killing pushing minion when we were facing trist , brand lane . and he died after 3 seconds on lane every single time , he was level 3 we were level 5 !! and still keep doing the same shit with pushing minions and going in to brand , trist level 5 and i lost lots of gold and xp and trist destroyed the game , the other lanes didn't let you farm or understand switching or anything .
    my point is in low elo sometimes you need to play completely different from main roles

      because they know theyre buying screen time, supporting a creator they enjoy, and they get the man himself to point out flaws they might not realize they have instead of having to grind it out themselves on and off the rift. From what ive seen its usually working class people that dont have the time to invest putting their nose to the grindstone so they opt with the fast track with those aforementioned bonuses.

    Are these pointers really gonna help him climb that much? - for a low rank coaching session. Winning lane is just a small piece in low rank? I would say training him doing pings, map awareness/wards, controlling the game after he have gotten fed. (Maybe this was covered in his last session)

    • @YuYuYuna_
      @YuYuYuna_ 11 місяців тому +1

      Yes, yes they really will. All that other shit does not matter, not as much as lvl 2 all in. Controlling the game means nothing. Map awareness and wards mean nothing. None of the other stuff means anything if you cannot execute a lvl 2 all in as a support main in the majority of your games and especially so if you are playing an engage/aggro support like pyke, naut, leona, thresh, blitz, etc. If you are not playing for lvl 2 you are missing out on the biggest advantage you have as a support in lane until lvl 6 if you have a key ultimate like naut ult or leona ult, pyke ult, etc. The other stuff is important but it's like building a house. You dont start with the windows or the electrical wiring. You start with the foundation. Lvl 2 all in is your foundation as a support player.
