The power of music is not understood by so many. The power of music help pull me out of a very dark place I was in after my wife died. I had thoughts of suicide!! We had been married for 50 years.
Thank God I was and still am a musician for going on 60 years now. I turned to the only place I knew to turn to...MUSIC!!!!! People the power of MUSIC is available to everyone.

My most played track for two years in a row is "Skyrim Atmospheres", which is a 45 minute track. I use it as white noise during work. It really soothes everyone in my office and I've been asked several times: "What's that nice ambience music your playing?" and it amazes everyone this comes from a video game.

I love a good chillwave playlist during my half hour morning commute. Tycho is my usual go-to for that. Heading back home, I definitely have the heavier stuff going. I can't say enough good things about the newest Night Verses album, and part two comes out next month. Them and Coheed make everything better for me!

I was watching something on reddit last night that some great soul decided to put Money For Nothing over, and it's been stuck in my head ever since. So that was a listen for today!
Strangely, i've also had Avenged Sevenfold on the brain, too, so I might swing around to what albums I have of them as well.
I've been watching more stuff lately (TV, etc...) so I haven't gotten to a lot of music, but when doing chores i'll usually pull up something from Heavy Dev or long prog tracks (thanks, Dream Theater!)
Devin has a few magnificent quarantine livestreams on his channel that i've probably listened to a hundred times by now. Absolutely worth a watch; Devin is such a great human being!

Do you ever dedicate the time to play an entire album from start to finish any more? I know I don't, but I keep telling people, "dude, this album is a masterpiece, it needs to be heard in its entirety" whenever the conversation gets onto music. I don't know if we've lost or gained something (or both) with Spotify and other ubiquitous services having taken over our listening habits. I used to put NIN's The Fragile CDs (double album) on while studying and my dad did the same with Pink Floyd's The Wall and we keep talking about those albums in reference to contemporary music being more single serving based. Thoughts?

I appreciate the effort, but I found out yesterday my homeowners insurance company will be dropping me in two weeks. No notice. If I cannot get insurance before then, my bank will call the marker on the home we have been dutifully paying on for 25 years. pretty goddam hard to be up beat this morning.
