Was it unprovoked? If a stranger grabbed your child out of your hands you will attack this is nature the mother of the child attempted to rescue hers, the people screwed up.
@@banditdog1338 it's a toddler that got attacked. If the toddler wasn't actively harming the puppy yes it is unprovoked. Those dogs should have absolutely been restrained to prevent this. The breeders are 100% responsible for this kid's death because dogs who just had babies are known for being aggressively territorial around strangers. A hamster is actually not fit for more than most people. Just to be "that one" and take the opportunity to inform. I know it's a phrase used, but I hate it just as much as the "being treated like a dog".
A hamster runs up to 9 km (~5miles?) foraging at night, so they actually need A LOT of space. Which means a large cage with 25-40cm (10-15") of bedding in height to dig tunnels in. They're not the easy pet it seems like. That's why they often st arve and unalive way too early. 🤷🏻♀️

As a roofing contractor I’ve been around countless vicious dogs. Once a man and his 60 lb mixed breed met me at my truck as I got my ladder out. The man was pleasant and his dog was calm though I knew since he only wanted to approach me from behind to be careful. The man told me what he wanted me to know and then he went back inside. As soon as the front door slammed closed the dog attacked me from behind. He bit me several times before I could react. Thankfully my clip board was made of metal and I kept him away from me while I backed up to my truck. I was so angry at that dog. By the time the man came back outside he asked me what was wrong. All I said was your dog did attacked me. He said as people always say, he has never bitten anyone. I threw my ladder in my truck and drove away. Another stop was a guy who had a lot going on across the street on a Saturday. A 3 year old girl was attacked by the family pit bull and killed while mom and dad slept in on a Saturday morning. The people were certain the dog had never been aggressive.
That's really bad, sorry that happened to you. I also go to people's homes every day to do work. I have had people cuss me out for trying to protect myself from a biting dog. The worst one as far as owners go (even though I didn't get hurt) was a dog trying to bite me through my leather boot while I was talking to the owner. The lady was in such denial she acted like her dog would never do such a thing even though she was looking directly at me while it happened.
A dog being aggressive should have no bearing on judgement. The potential is always there, as evidenced not just by the protective nature but by the fantasy most owners have of their dog scaring away robbers!

Never trust an owner's judgment of their own dog. I've been bit twice, and both times the owner said, "It's ok, he/she is friendly!" despite the dog clearly displaying aggressive behavior. It's some kind of weird denial that their dog is indeed a dog that may do dog things.
Agreed. Parent Dogs, especially the mother dog should be kept away from strangers when you are showing puppies. If buyers want to see the Parent dogs, show them separately from the puppies, and don't let children come into that area. Leave the Parent dogs in your back yard or kennel, and take the puppies inside the house, garage, front yard, somewhere secure away from the parent dogs sight. By taking the puppies to another area, you relive the protective instinct of the Parent dogs. Children that age don't know how to handle, play with, or touch puppies. They will usually hold them wrong, pinch the puppies skin by trying to grab them, etc, causing the puppy to yelp and excite the Parent dogs. This is a tragic situation, condolences to the family.

It is trained but still it is an animal. Anything can make him upset. Other thing is that I take him to dog park odd hours when nobody is there. If somebody comes, we leave. Sometimes they say that we don't have to leave. I tell them that I don't want any other dogs around him. The guy didn't listen and didn't give us time to leave. His dog attack mine and got his lesson. There are so many idiots around. I love my fur baby but he is an animal and genes comes from wolves.
I agree, took my son to the park. A dog with no leash comes running towards my son. Thank god i got to him first, then the owner comes up sayn if u dont run he wont attack. Im like the f* i dont know your dog, he dont know me. He will bite me if he sees me as a threat. People with dogs needs to control them or dont have them.
I am so sorry to hear this. My son was also attacked when he was 8 unprovoked by a pitt bull. It never ceases to amaze me how the breed is still legal. Owners need tougher consequences. The INSURANCE companies will drop homeowners of certain breeds. The owner's insurance has to pay for the attack for medical cost work time lost ect. and civil lawsuits.
I heard a lot of stories about children being attacked and killed by their own family pit bull. The dogs were raised from puppies in a loving home and just one day snapped.
You cant even spell the name - therefore its unlikely that you correctly identify one either - and that right there is why they are "legal". Because people like you label everything "pitt bull" even though you can't even spell it.
And... if you are an owner of a lg breed dog or a breed that has a guardian Nature.... protect your dog. Don't allow people to touch your dog!!! If someone asks, just politely say "no, she/he is still in training and isn't ready to be touched by strangers yet" and then Thank them for asking. Remember, when you get a dog, that dogs life is in your hands. How you handle situations like strangers could be the difference between your dog living or not. Although many dogs can almost seem human sometimes, they aren't and their future depends on you. Keep them safe !!!!
The breeder is responsible for it alone. The mom want watching her kid is what it sounded like. She could have asked that the dogs be put up. So she is at fault also.
The parents are (tragically) also responsible. They have eyes and judgement. It's never a good idea to take babies to unknown places with unfamiliar dogs. But I do hurt for them, of course 😢 This accident was 100% avoidable.
When I got a puppy the parents were in a completely different area behind a dog run cage. My dog is half blue heeler half border collie. The mother blue heeler lunged at me through the cage when it saw me with her baby walking to the car. There is a reason you never have strangers near puppies when the mother is present especially people who are taking the babies away! What was wrong with this breeder!
Agreed! I’ve always been good around dogs that didn’t know me, yet I still used extreme caution when picking out my wolf/hybrid pup. The male parent was a great big goof, extremely laid back, but the mom (practically pure timber wolf) was not liking anyone being around her pups. (Which is an absolutely normal and understandable reaction.)
Wow something terrible was happening at that breeding place. Why was the poor mother in a cage? Blue heelers were not bred to have aggression in them like pit bulls so it’s strange that she would behave this way when taking a puppy.

I've owned 5 German Shepherd's, got them all from the same breeder over the years, own 3 now, all dog parents where there when we chose the puppy, but, because all the dogs are well trained, that's the difference, people get dogs then don't even bother to get them basic training, especially breeds that have tendencies to be aggressive. A reputable breeder will only breed dogs with good temperament, no health issues, etc. This keeps the breed within breed standards as set by either the AKC or the Working Dog Breeders Association. They will also give you the puppy’s lineage going back at least four generations. With backyard breeders, they might have the names of their dogs’ parents but, probably no more than that. And they rarely have the information needed to have them registered. Please, please, please, stop buying from backyard breeders! You have no idea what could be wrong with the puppies and you could be getting one that’s going to cost you thousands in vet bills. Don’t take the chance. This is just so sad. You NEVER leave dogs and puppies unsupervised. They have that parenting protective instinct. I also am not a fan of dog parks either. Too many unsupervised dogs and when a lot of dogs are together, some can get aggressive, or overly excited and bad things can happen.' This incident, like many, it just tragic AND preventable.
@jay5o702 the video says the boys were playing with a puppy nearby, she heard him scream, and the mother _immediately_ began to free him. They were all in the same place, looking at puppies.
@jay5o702 it did not say they weren't with him. They were probably talking to the puppy owner about the purchase, so they weren't looking directly at the kids. They didn't walk away or leave the kids. That's how she was able to _immediately_ intervene.
Imagine being a dog forced to breed so others can profit, then being killed when trying to protect your offspring? So much tragedy here caused by the ignorance of the breeders of the children, as well as the dog breeder.
I just said that I agree with you put greeting dogs so you can make money get a job Force a dog to get pregnant so you can take the babies away and make money People can find a dog in a shelter
How is it the child’s fault? He was a 3 year old who didn’t know any better! It’s devastating for this child who lost his life, and yes due to the breeder’s not thinking things through before taking the puppies to sell them.
I think should stop the stupid puppy mill .it's only show lazy people who wants make money easy way ,doing cruelty with dogs .they will pay for that because is not fair and is wrong way they doing .
When are people going to realize that dogs are simply animals people act like they’re human and they think like humans but they don’t they have instincts unlike us and this poor child is paying the price for this. May God rest his soul and comfort his family.
Imagine the physical agony and terror that boy felt. Unimaginable pain. The dogs are like tools a person owns. Like a person who negligently fired a gun or lit a match or forgot to pull the handbrake in a car, the person who had control over the dogs basically inflicted that immense pain on the little boy. He owns them, he has to take ownership - literally.
So preventable and forseeable. Been pet sitting for domestic animals as well as farm animals for 50 years... not surprised this happened. The mother will forever be broken as she couldn't save her little boy...generational pain and suffering for this Family. Basic 101 Animal behavior....
I had a vet that told me parents should never leave their children alone with dogs. He had a dog that had arthritis. His own son fell on him and the dog bit him. The dog didn’t do it out of meanness or anger he did it because it was hurt.
We have always thought this especially for kids under 12. They just don't fully understand the to us subtle cues that mean they are not happy. After having a dog nip my face and need stitches as a young teen yes it warned me no I didn't back off, I thought that since I was human I should be allowed the couch over the grumpy old dog, I also do not allow dogs on human furniture
I cringe everytime I see pics/videos of large dogs with small children, especially babies. A lot of damage can be done before the camera person can get to hurt child. It looks so cute, but the risk isn’t worth it.
I was attacked by a German shepherd when I was 14. I still get nervous around bigger dogs and I’m very scared of German Shepherds, pits and Rottweilers. These breeds tend to be more aggressive and territorial. This is such a heartbreaking story. That poor baby!
I blame both the parents and breeder for this. Breeders responsibility to control their dogs and the parents responsibility for not letting their children out of their sight. It could have been anything else besides a mauling, even a simple slip and fall. The parents should have been aware of the location of their children. You're just looking to buy a dog, how are you letting your kids run free out of sight?
Pit Bull dogs were originally developed from bulldogs around the 19th century. Common bulldogs were crossbred with various terrier breeds to develop bulldog-type dogs. They started with cross breeding American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Bulldog.
This breeder was negligent and is fully responsible. You don’t show puppies with sire and dam unrestrained. This is gut wrenching to hear. So sorry for this family.
As someone who has owned pure bred Rottweilers, my breeder always kept the parents in their crates when people were coming to look at the puppies. They will protect their babies if they think you’re harming them.
People stop getting these bully dogs. They cannot be trusted even with superior training. There are so many dogs that are sweet and won’t kill you. Why do I even need to type this common sense statement
Because all these morons actually believe they're just misunderstood and cute and cuddly, and they will argue with you until they're blue in the face. Anyone that is stupid enough to have one of those dogs around kids, shouldn't even have a kid.
One time our dog had a litter of pups , moms never ever bit anyone , after 8 weeks people came into home to see pups first person to walk in door bent down to pets puppies and mom bit man’s face badly 😢 it was a small breed dog but dogs with their young are very protective.
Even in the midst of their tragedy this family chose to bless other people by donating his organs. Such a decision must’ve been so difficult and painful. I hope they find peace.
@@kimt1054 I do have a heart, for that beautiful little three year old boy who was mauled to death so needlessly as a result of the absolute negligence of the two people whose judgement should have mattered the most regarding his continued safety.
We behaviorally euthanized our dog 3 months ago (happened to be a pit). It was the hardest decision we ever made but we have a 2 year old and he started to go after my husband and I. He couldn’t walk outside anymore, couldn’t see people he knew in the past without trying to hurt them. Out of the blue started to become extremely aggressive. It’s stories like these where I feel I made the correct choice and can breathe a sigh of relief. As a pet owner, I truly believe you know what your animal is capable of. We couldn’t be another statistic. Our dog couldn’t have been more loved and as responsible owners it’s our job to protect others. So so sorry for this family. It’s devastating.
No doubt that was a hard decision to make, most likely second guessing yourself ~ if what you were seeing was really that. Some dogs are mentally unbalanced and signs do not appear until they're older. I was 7 when the neighbor's Labrador retriever lunged and took a bite out of my stomach, neighbor's said "nothing is wrong with him except he hasn't been feeling well lately." A week later he lunged at their child, biting him in the face and they put the dog down. Hugs to you, you made the right decision for your family and others.
Imagine how quickly people would take necessary precautions if dog owners would be charged with assault/battery/homicide if their pets harmed someone unprovoked.
They will lose everything they own.
Not to mention if the dogs attacked a TODDLER they could have also attacked an adult. It just wouldn't have been as likely to be fatal if an adult was attacked. Those dogs should have absolutely been restrained to prevent this. The breeders are 100% responsible for this kid's death because dogs who just had babies are known for being aggressively territorial around strangers. I have some experience with breeders and I have actually been attacked by a momma who got out of a back yard while waiting for an Uber. You don't take chances with stuff like this unless you are irresponsible.

Why would you have parents of these puppies in the area? Animals get so stressed…especially with their babies. So sad all the way around.
People like you are why they allow the dogs off the leashes to begin with. Always putting your store bought pets before others safety
In my family, when we buy dogs or cats, we want to see the parents, and they're often in the same room than their babies. We never had an incident: the parents are psychologically well-balanced and like being around humans (or, at least, they don't care).
They're nice even when their babies are still not weaned (we like to chose our pet early, and regulary visit the breeder before taking our pet at home).
The only precaution I would take, it's the usual NEVER LET A KID ALONE WITH ANIMALS.
Obviously they had no idea they would attack. There are lots of second guessers on here that just assume everyone should have known the risks. I'm confident no one wanted this to happen. Personally, I didn't know that this breed was capable of attacking like that either.
@99Em07 Never let a kid alone with dogs. NEVER. Even if your dog is the nicest in the world, even your kid is the most well-behaved kn the world, your kid can still do something stupid and piss them off.

My parents put me in extremely dangerous situations with dogs when I was a child. They cared a lot more about the animals and their own children were secondary. B) even if the parent was lax and left the children alone with the strange dogs and puppy, the breeder should have known not to leave kids unattended with dogs. Because all these morons actually believe they're just misunderstood and cute and cuddly, and they will argue with you until they're blue in the face. Anyone that is stupid enough to have one of those dogs around kids, shouldn't even have a kid.
My 5lb Chihuahua just attacked a person coming to buy something from me, should we also stop buying and breeding Chihuahuas?
@@thescrolls9190 Chihauhas can’t rip someone’s face off. Please
@@thescrolls9190 lol I have 2 chihuahuas. They dont kill people silly
@@thescrolls9190what a stupid remark. Seriously.
One time our dog had a litter of pups , moms never ever bit anyone , after 8 weeks people came into home to see pups first person to walk in door bent down to pets puppies and mom bit man’s face badly 😢 it was a small breed dog but dogs with their young are very protective.
A bulldog, for small children? Wtf were those parents thinking?
Even in the midst of their tragedy this family chose to bless other people by donating his organs. Such a decision must’ve been so difficult and painful. I hope they find peace.
They’re no saints.
@@jeannek4033 are you? No one is a “saint” and no one is perfect, but to imply that they deserved such tragedy is perverse….
@@estarateta i doubt their kid is in the great beyond
So deeply, deeply sorry for the parents, siblings and family. What a beautiful child!
The extremely poor judgement of that little boy's parents is the reason he will not see his fourth birthday.
Agreed. I see these stories and they are tragic and sad but so many times they are preventable.
Have a heart. I'm sure the mom didn't realize that her child was in any danger.

I do have a heart, for that beautiful little three year old boy who was mauled to death so needlessly as a result of the absolute negligence of the two people whose judgement should have mattered the most regarding his continued safety.
Having a heart doesn't help. The mom thought a bully breed dog was a good idea. That stupid decision killed her son.
I blame the breeder, if the parent saw any sing of danger they wouldn't let their kid be near the puppies
I'm terrified of most dogs. I've tried to overcome this but it's so difficult once you have a horrible encounter.
So the 3 year old was left unattended in a stranger's backyard with unknown dogs? Don't people learn?
They are learning the hard way now.
You made the right choice, glad you guys weren't attacked!
Poor little beautiful boy, may the Lord have mercy on him🙏🏻🙏🏻
He's 3 years old he be in heaven with our Lord . He's a inoccent baby only 3 small children who don't know right from wrong go straight to heaven 😢
So the dog attacked once already but the mom just let him wander off again? Was she on drugs? Total neglegence.
