I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes..

Don’t get sucked into this. Any property is only worth what you get paid for it. Some estate agent in a pin stripe suit telling you it’s worth £300k is blowing hot air. Estate agents always tell you it’s worth more than you’ll get so they can market it
You only make a equity gain once the gain has been realised, everything in between is just hope value. This is a very basic simple refurb no increase in surface area, good luck

the time of flipping houses is coming to end for the good of society.. he should have 80k profit after 3-5 years ... this was not sustainable... I am not sure if this is true as prices are dropping... but the kid looks clever and mature for his age and should be inspirational for many young adults
