After playing the Gloryfinder side events at BCS this weekend, I can definitely say Gloryfinder is more of a fun "party" game mode that is best enjoyed with friends. When playing with strangers, it felt kind of strange. Like deciding whose face I hit when I don't know what anyone is playing. But when playing with friends, it was a blast trying to accomplish all of the goals needed to redeem the mono evo points as fast as possible in one game and ganging up on the guy who uses dragon oracle turn 1. I don't think cross craft will be much fun, since the few OP decks will be identified pretty early on (coughfablecough) and everyone will be playing it or its counter.
@@Atelier951 yeah, the multiplayer formsts in all card games feel that way. Playing with friends and just memeing it up and playing politics while having a drink is a ton of fun! Im also on the fable is broken train but it will be interested if they decide to try and make this format more of a real format than a just for fun thing. It will probably have a silly ban list for sure though lmao.
While everyone is immediately thinking Fable mixes, I'm thinking Deepwood Anomaly + Sword so you can use that spell that gives a follower Storm. Still a barely working meme but might be the closest Deepwood Anomaly ever gets to land a hit.
I really enjoy gloryfinder with my friends, but the games are long and playing at regionals for stakes takes a lot out of me. Hope to get some evolve points during other future events. I think cross craft brings some fun ideals like combined omens or something like x/ heal dragon.
