Hello lovelies! I hope you like my new October bullet journal theme, even though it isn’t necessarily my usual autumn theme. This video felt a bit hard to make especially because of the very honest thoughts about my bullet journal content online I talked about in this video. Choosing to take a break or quitting something others have very much enjoyed feels wrong in many ways but I also know I need to listen to myself and focus on the things I like more. Again thank you to everyone who has followed my bullet journaling journey so far, I really appreciate all of you so much!! I have no idea what I’ll do next month and whether I still keep uploading bujo content or not but at the same time it feels great that I even gave myself this kind of freedom 😁 I hope you have a great relaxing week ❤️
Personally came to realize I appreciate extremely minimal bullet journaling so I have been watching for the calm vibes and painting inspiration and techniques. Greatly appreciate your time and work. 🍊(pretend it's a pumpkin?)❤️
Ooh I have so many thoughts, hope it's ok if I share some. When I started bullet journaling in 2017 it was all about creating a tool for everything that's in your head, that just works for you. And for me that has always been writing anything down at any time, the creativity was something on top that I enjoyed more and more but it never was the focus. Now I do like to take my little creative time in a month, since otherwise I won't take that much time for it, but writing everything down still comes first and my journal is still as chaotic and messy as I am. I could imagine that in 2020, where everyone had a lot of time, and probably a lot of people started sharing their bullet journal art and creations, the focus has shifted to the art aspect a lot more. And from my perspective, when you share your bullet journal online, maybe from the beginning on, and it's tied to kind of pleasing your audience, always feeling some sort of pressure of performing and creating stunning artwork, it's no wonder that the excitement and enjoyment fades at some point. It's just delivering, what you're expected to do, instead of doing what you want and need. I think it is a really good idea, to take a break and journal for yourself. Also I wonder if it is really necessary for you to also and always create art in your bullet journal? Obviously you are an incredibly talented artist and seem to enjoy painting a lot, but do you also need to "perform" in a organizational / reflection tool? It could also be a place, where you just could be messy and imperfect or totally minimalist... But in the end that's of course totally up to you and it's your... Quest to figure out what you want from a bullet journal. I believe a bullet journal shouldn't make you feel pressured or overwhelmed, it should be a space to clear and organize your head, and help you in your life... Anyway I just wanted to throw in some other ideas and thoughts, in hopes that this could be a teenie tiny bit helpful - and if not or you're not seeking for more opinions on it, just ignore it 😉 Anywhoo, I do totally understand your perspective and I enjoyed a video with a bit of a more kinda personal topic, even if it's about the journal and video in the end but you know... Aaah yeah. This is very long. Wish you all the best and hope you can enjoy some alone time with your journal 😊
Oh I 100% understand your feeling of burnout with a style/type of videos! On my alt account I've had to take a break from posting videos because I did end up forcing myself to continue making them even though I'd grown to dread them. Led to a very unhealthy place. I'm so glad you're acting out of healthy awareness and making a change for yourself be that temporary or permanent for the channel. I'm still deciding what I'm going to do for mine. I'm kinda niche-locked, but I know that doing what you enjoy is most important when it comes to making videos! And on the topic, I genuinely enjoy your regular painting videos as much as I enjoy your bullet journal ones! ☺The Autumn trees you painted in the last video were so lovely to watch come together, as was your travel-inspired mountain scene with those yellow flowers. 🥰🎃
I recently found bullet journaling and it makes me sad that so many people have stepped away from it I love learning new things and would have really loved to have access to more content and information about it. I go through your videos often taking it all in and i thank you for having created a space for people like me to learn. Wishing you all the best always no matter what you are doing and hopefully we get you back with new ideas and inspiration when you are ready ❤
I understand you completely, Tiina. I also began to be part of the bujo community at 2020 and times have indeed changed. Many of my favorite creators have stopped sharing content and others have migrated to other areas of art, like you. In my case, I also stopped bullet journaling a little last year and after that, started creating more minimalist posts and art focused more that journaling. I still share my bujo content but more as my own documentation. The community has changed but I have also found myself inspired and pleasantly surprised by people like you, who through art have shared other perspectives that I also find interesting. I feel that in the end, the content should fulfill you before it fills others, so do what makes you feel good and comfortable, we will still be here to support you in the process!!
I watch these to watch you paint so even if you aren't bullet journaling for you that's fine I just enjoy your videos for your art and how chill they are. I'll still be here.
Definitely sounds like you need a break! I totally understand. I use my bullet journal every day as it helps me manage my chronic illness care, but lately I've been having trouble finding the energy and inspiration to draw or paint in it. I decided to get some fun sticker sets instead for the end of the year and it has been so nice to get to put that together with no pressure for creating an art piece. I love your paintings, and that's why I'm here! So I'll still be excitedly awaiting all your new videos!
I totally understand what you’re saying. I got into bullet journaling during Covid when I was working from home. I’m not an artist, but I was inspired by you and others. I learned so much, and my skills improved, but now that I’m back at work, I just don’t have time for this hobby anymore. With that said, I still love watching other people bullet journal, so I am still subscribed to you, and I still love watching your videos. You are so incredibly talented. But I get it. Torryn Marie also stopped bullet journaling on her channel for the same reasons, so I was bummed about that, too. Anyway, no matter what you decide to do, I will be here as a subscriber and watching. I wish you the best.
I just found you and love your paintings. Really not because of the bullet journaling... I do not do that... but because of your watercolor artwork and how you present your ideas.
I’ve only discovered you recently and I agree you shouldn’t let it become a chore. Maybe you can just do the journals pages - on months that you feel up to it - and you could do the front cover paintings in separate videos when you want to paint. It would be really cool to watch videos of multiple cover pages done together if you get into the mood! I’m very happy that I have so many of your past journaling videos to watch and I’m looking forward to playing your art videos while I try to learn how to paint myself! I’m more used to pencils so it will be great at to have an experienced artist to watch and paint along while I practice! 😊
Hi Tina, I started bullet journaling like in 2017ish and have had some very intense highs and lows with it. I also felt this 'magic' going away after 2 or so years and stopped entirely for a while. But as I didnt really liked premade calenders anymore I started again many times and stopped again due to stressful months at uni. 2020 was definitively a year I started bulletjounaling more intensly again because I was having more time and needes to plan all kind of stuff for uni. Then I stopped again for 2021 and started again very high maintenance in 2022 because I felt so inspired with my painting and was gaining so much from the artwork in my book. And since july I am having a phase of low maintenance bujo again only with fun stickers and without painting, mainly using it as a diary actually. In total: I think its very ok to just stop or adjust the effort you are putting in the bujo so that it matches your needs. Bujo has to work for you, not the other way around. 🎃
Aw I’m sad to hear that bullet journalling isn’t bringing you joy anymore. You are 1 of 3 favourites on UA-cam I go to for inspiration for my journal. I have found that I tend to try to make spreads harder than they have to be and opted for a more minimalist feel for mine, with just small artistic aspects in the set up, it takes much less time. Although, it’s not really bullet journalling I use my journal for anymore, I set them up for hobbies, like reading, art, travel and just general memory keeping. I only add to it when I feel like it and it doesn’t need setting up every month. Even though I’m a little sad I won’t see anymore set ups from you, I can’t wait for the painting videos as I love watching those also! ❤
Hi Tiina thank you so much for sharing this beautiful autumn inspired layout and for bein so honest in sharing your feelings on your UA-cam journey. I have been just blown out by your videos from the very beginning and never imagined before that it was possible to create such artful bullet journals. It’s inspired me and encouraged me a lot to try to experiment and create beautiful pages. But I have also realised that my bullet journal is not as precious to me and I rather prefer to make separate art pieces that I can either enclose on my personal diary or leave on sketchbooks. I love your videos your art your creativity and everything you transmit so much and I can only thank you and hope to find you here again with anything that might still make you feel happy about it. One can happily create art for oneself but you can’t be a content creator just for yourself with no real motivation and support. I think that maybe the videos on something artful that is truly special for you would be for everyone here too. I actually super loved the vlog and the idea to share also your environment and the tips on creating simple paintings but always very enchanting and inspiring. I wish you all the very very best and will keep treasuring everything you share.🙏🏻💖
As much as I love your videos I am excited for you to take time to play without the pressure of an audience and figure out what works for you. It good to step back and refocus. Maybe you will find something that works for you that is super different from what you see online, or maybe you just enjoy your bullet journal as a place to play. I find it interesting that bullet journaling is for an individual person and yet what you see online is so similar to each other in structure. Nothing wrong with similar structure, if it works for a person, but I think some people just get stuck into thinking a bujo has to be what they see everywhere. Jashii Corrin has a couple great videos about taking time to think on and map out what you need from your journal before starting because what I need and what she/you need is so very different. Enjoy your freedom and your art!
Love your bullet Journaling and started following you this year. You've inspired me to use watercolour (one of my Achilles heel) and paint something that I would not normally paint (ie. mushrooms). It's perfectly normal to take a break, especially when you're starting to dread something you love and make it become a task, instead of being excited. I will miss your bullet journaling video but your other videos will definitely inspire me and will definitely watch out for your watercolouring segments. Thanks for all the time and effort.
Bullet journaling should be fun and exciting and for enjoyment along with being functional. And if you're losing that because of filming... Stop and re find your joy. I Started bullet journaling and I stopped this year actually I think in April... and use stickers and a happy planner just because my life had changed a little bit and Bujo'ing just didn't fit anymore. But have changed how I use it and now I use it for habit tracking and daily journaling now. When you force yourself to do something and there's not a lot of joy in it it will show and thats not well for anyone especially for the person who has to use it. So find what gives you passion! and we (Viewers) will enjoy all you put out :) and I'd love as I know were getting into fall and late fall in some places but a asmr video of forest walks, mushroom picking, with a earthy forest music in the background? I think that'd be really calming and suit your vibe. :)
NEWBIE PERSPECTIVE (good vibes only ❤) Well. I just discovered bullet journaling 3 days ago and have been voraciously consuming content ever since! Many, many others mentioned your channel as inspo and so I'm sad that my first bujo video of yours is probably your last. But, it's about the journey right?! Regarding community, everything has a season but keep in mind as some people leave the hobby there are others just starting and filled with excitement (like me)! I imagine it's similar to high school students in their final year who'll be leaving for college and excited to leave the things of youth behind for young adulthood. Meanwhile, there's a wave of pre-teen freshmen just starting their journey, looking forward to all the promises of those precious final years of junior and senior high. However, everyone needs space and support to follow their bliss WHEREVER that leads. Personally, if my hobby became work, it would then be "work". I'd no doubt end up where you are, burned out and no longer full of the natural excitement that comes from creating simply for the joy of it. To truly enjoy a passion you can't be bound by performanced based analytics and algorithms that punish you for not being a robot. SO, as a content consumer I'm sad I may not see new bujo content from you; but as a human being, I'm so glad you are giving yourself permission to do what makes YOU happy and honoring that first! Meanwhile, me and the rest of the freshmen class just starting our journey will be combing through your historical bujo videos with great excitement! Wishing you great happiness as you continue your journey!
Funnily enough we went for very similar themes 😆 except I painted the pumpkins using gouache and did so directly on black paper. For the first topic you discussed, I relate to you because I’ve been there at the beginning of the year. Filming really took the fun out of bullet journaling for me and made it burdensome and stressful so i stopped completely like you’re thinking of doing and that was the best decision I’ve made. I feel like my current bujo is my best one yet and it became rewarding and relaxing to set up once again. With that being said, I shall enjoy all your painting videos because those are equally as nice to watch as these
I burned out on bullet journaling a while ago, but I’ve found that it opened up a whole bunch of possibilities for other kinds of journaling for me, and I’ve (mostly) kept up with those and have kept having fun with them. I’ve stopped posting on IG though, but I’ve found the same kind of thing where like, the bujo community led me to all these other little cozy, supportive communities on IG too. I hope you’re able to find similar things! But I completely understand the lack of inspiration, and while I will miss these bullet journal videos, I know you have to follow your joy, and I hope you have fun figuring out what journaling looks like when it’s just for you. ❤
Making your hobby into a job/content always has a sour side eventually. I don't blame you at all for wanting to do the spreads on your own! Instagram and sharing slowly killed my joy of art (not alone, life also did) and I ended up just taking a break completely and it has been incredibly nice and freeing! My break may end up lasting a few years, whatever I need. And you do whatever you need to keep the joy
I love your bujo videos but i also love when creators do what they love, so I'm happy that you're taking time to figure it all. Those pumpkin are so pretty. I can't wait to see what you're planning for inktober, I'm sad i can't do it this year again since ill be working on my advent calendar. 🎃
It’s perfect! I just started my first job in the end of august. In school I used my BuJo every day. Now I come home home in the early evening and get up in the night. I use it only for appointments anymore but I’m searching for a way of adapting right noe
I understand exactly how you feel. I burned out on bullet journaling awhile back. I do have a suggestion for you that has given me great satisfaction: write down a list of paintings you are interested in doing, like a forest scene with one animal, a pirate on a ship, a floral theme. Cut the suggestions out, fold them up, put them into a jar or box and randomly choose one to paint as paintings to mat and/or frame. I have loved doing this and have created Christmas gifts for others, paintings for myself, and have sold a few. ❤😊
Thank you so much for the super nice comment, I really appreciate it!! 🥰 And that recommendation sounds amazing too! However I don’t have any struggles with painting, I would literally paint every hour of the day if I just could 😂 I’m currently working on filling my sketchbook and doing a monthly art challenge so I’m very passionate about doing art as much as I can 🥹
Oh now I realized you probably meant that as a video idea and not as a way to be inspired about making art again hahah I’m sorry! I’m writing that down for sure 🥰
I can completely understand you Tiina, i also join the bullet journal community in 2020, and now i’m kind of feeling like weird about it. But i am doing it, regardless. Anyway, this theme looks beautiful, love the rustic orange paper 🧡
I did bullet journaling from 2019-2021 and I quit after that bc while I loved the online community I always felt so bad bc my journal would never look as beautiful as the people who spend hours and hours on their spreads. But in January of this year I decided to do it again but with my own standards and promised to not compare my journal to other people’s and I’m having a much better time. Now I go for a more minimal journal with lots of stickers instead of drawings
🎃 Totally get what you mean about the 2020 bujo community nostalgia 😢! I'm definitely guilty of quitting when the pressure of creating full monthly set ups got too much when life/work returned to more of a normality in mid 2021. I love these bujo videos, but also really love your stand alone painting videos, so create what makes you happiest! If you know you want to create a bujo theme for an upcoming month you could always just film painting the cover page...so it fits with your normal painting videos, but it's there in your bujo if you want to use it in the month. ❤
I am actually not really suprised to hear u talking about "quitting bullet journaling videos". I felt like u werent really enjoying this kind of content anymore and sometimes I catched myself thinking "ha? Why is she doing it when she doesnt feel like?".. I think as a viewer u get confused to consume something u realize the creator is not enjoying. Its like a "oh god now I have to do this video to make all of u happy but I actually hate it"- vibe. As a follower u definitely realize that and as u said- in the long run your followers will leave cause they feel ur frustration. So with that being said I think its the best decision u can make to stay true to yourself and honest to your audience. You are so talented and inspiring with your art and u will continue to WOW us - and it will even be better cause u enjoy the whole process! ❤
I've been doing bullet journals since 2018 and I don't think I could really stop because it is my system to organize, but I don't share it and rarely let people see it, so it's my own pocket of creativity. I love your themes though. Maybe change up? What about making some painting that could be theme ideas? I always look for these videos to find ideas for my own theme, even if I don't exactly copy it
I agree with your statement about 2020 era of bullet journaling contents. I definitely felt it in 2022 that many people are not making contents anymore. The excitement is definitely lost somewhere but there are a some new people joining in and getting motivated. Honestly, I feel overwhelmed as well but I think decorative bujo helps me to use it hehe. Anyways, I’ll be missing your bujo contents bc I was inspired from a lot of ideas from you. I hope you post if you make one on ig. :(
something I use for my books to help with the pages falling out and keeping the "spine" intact , I bought some white and black artist tape. which helps add some structure. Just a thought
U are so Talented and Brave,! I totally understand n connect with you as I also go through same feeling some time! I loved yr video so pls don't stop creating this ❤God bless u
oooh i'm gonna miss your videos, but i totally get that it's so much work! I'm totally overloaded with all the projects i've filmed but haven't had time to edit, so much effort goes into it. People often don't get that at all. Take care of yourself, find your way and find your joy again - or don't do it! Lots of love to you!
I'm glad you're making choices to make posting to your channel more fun for you, I'm sorry to hear that the content you were making made bullet journaling more difficult :( I'd like to make a suggestion. Since I bet a lot of your fanbase is following you for bujo content, maybe while you take some time off of that in favor of other content, perhaps a "spread suggestion" video could be made in the meantime, while you figure out what you want to do moving forward? What I mean is, a video where you go through old spreads that you found helpful, and explain how they work and how maybe someone could change them. I think it'd be great help not only for me but for others, and I bet it'd take a lot less time and energy than creating new spreads. Just an idea! Remember to take our time, and create what you love!
This theme turned out so beautiful (as each and every one you make). I love watching your bullet journal videos, your layouts inspire me so much but I do understand the pressure and the waning excitement. I make 'artistic' bullet journal videos too and yes, they take soo much time I completely understand your decision to stop/take a break and I am also happy for you to be taking this step to feel better and less stressed out about it. All the best to you!
I totally understand not wanting to film your bujo themes. I’ve found I prefer to do my cover spread during the cause of the month not before it. It allows me to relax a bit and just make sure I have the functional pages looking fun so I will want to use them, it also mean the cover page actually feeling cohesive to the whole theme cos it done at the end. I’ve also stopped using weekly spreads and just have notes pages inspired by plant based brides husbands bujo, I can use it for lists or journalings or memories keeping and use as many or few pages as the month requires and add as much or little decorations as I have time or inclination. On the video suggestions maybe do some smaller doodle like paintings idea (like the pumpkins) we can use in bujo but are also wonderful as individual artworks. However you may need a rest and that is completely valid. I ponder if people have stopped posting bujo stuff cos as the world opens up again and they don’t have time to make the aesthetic spread so don’t feel like they can share them anymore. I have found leaving a small bit of cut offs then gluing them down seems to help with page stability, though I did have to do some emergency bookbinding when I cut the stiching on one signature. (Sorry this comment is so long I kept adding stuff through out the video)
I've definitely noticed some of my fav creators have either stopped or moved to a lot of other content! Like @plantbasedbride doing more reading content. And Torryn Marie just stopping completely - not sure where she went. I can totally get that making a planner like this every month is so much work, I use a premade planner and just do the creative things for fun, when I feel like it- with no pressure! (also same is true with the plant community, it spiked in 2020 and has slowed down since)
🎃 love this. I have loved watching all your content on UA-cam. It’s very inspiring and I wish you all the best in what you decide to do. I’m still going to support you either way 🙂 it’s spring here in Australia so I’m going to attempt to paint flowers in my journal.
🎃 I am in a bit of a pickle because when my journal is set up, I really enjoy using it, but I have a full time job and that doesn't always happen. So I do still really enjoy my bullet journal but sometimes it is difficult to give myself the time to set things up. So I also give myself breaks from full monthly setups from time to time and in those months I just write to do lists, keep track of my mood and journal a little about each day. Bullet journal has morphed more into a memory journal for me. All that said, I am doing a full setup this month because I got a new journal, and it is bats and black cats.
🙈 🎃 I like the warm tones of the orange of the pumpkins and employing that ebony undertone go-between. You stand so brazen to watercolor video and heretofore uncluttered. Your playlist stands spread as satisfactorily. Yearning you maintain Brynn Cartelli's Secondhand Smoke. Promising employment. 🎃 🙈
so i obviously like your content and all but my question this time around isss :D i got the exact journal for 2024 coincidentally :D does the paper really hold up without warping with the watercolor how do you feel in the long run of using it :) do you have any suggestions like use less water or do this do that kinda advise ?? btw don't put that much pressure on yourself take a break or do smt excites you. artist to artist i know the frustration of trying to appeal to people with your art. create a challenge that is capable of exciting you.. i quit journaling this year and planning to get back at 2024 what i realise is to improve as an artist you need to suffer a little bit gotta get out of your comfort zone accept the discomfort into your stride but that doesn't mean it should become a torment either i guess ballance is the key :) i dunno
To everything there is a season, and even the soil that nourishes the 🎃s that inspired your beautiful painting must lie fallow from time to time to breathe and take in sunlight and water in order to regenerate its nutrients. Rest easy.
🎃 I just came across your channel with this video and just wanted to say that these videos don't have to be "plan with me" videos. You can video it and attach it to anything. A vlog, a rant, make them shorts. You make lovely layouts and I don't even bullet journal, but I do use my sketchbook as a journal and make use of some of the ideas per book. Make it less stressful on yourself, but also if you're doing it anyway the content is easily there. (Tbh I think stuff like this would be perfect for reels or shorts to at least show off the finished product).
I think a big part of your burnout comes from having to put up a video out there -- which I've seen happen in other communities, like Booktube. Maybe if you take a couple of months off, just journal for yourself, you'll feel differently and will be able to start posting your BuJo here. I have to be honest, though. I don't think I'll keep following the channel if there are no more BuJo videos. I think your art is amazing, but I'm not an artist. I'm a journaler. So I can't learn from your art or recreate it (which I wish I could, btw). But I wish you the best of luck of I will miss your videos if you decide to pivot your channel.
take all the time u need fr 🫶🏻 and i also started journalling like in quarantine but now ive been behind since like july and im always saying to myself i will do it but bcs of college i just cant find the time and stuff but i dont say i neccecerally stopped im just on a long break haha and im prob still gonna fill in every month that i missed in a vacation or something bcs i did keep all my info in my notes app :)
From my point of view, your art is much more interesting than any bullet journaling, so I think it will be a great idea to make some changes. 😊
Stunning! I love your composition and ideas for bullet journals. Always exquisite! Keep on making art!
🎃 Pumpkins turned out lovely! 🎃
So pretty and rustic. Feels so calming. I love pumpkins and fall! 🎃
Love the pumpkin vibes so pretty think that will be my theme for next month
I’ll watch if you post…I won’t if you don’t. I love your sketchbook paintings. Do what makes you happy 💜😁
I love your 🎃 theme and you nail art too...
Do what you want and be happy😊🎃
Anyway, this theme looks beautiful, love the rustic orange paper 🧡
this spread came out gorgeous btw🫶🏻
I would love draw-along watercolour tutorials. But just watercolour tips would be great also)
I did bullet journaling from 2019-2021 and I quit after that bc while I loved the online community I always felt so bad bc my journal would never look as beautiful as the people who spend hours and hours on their spreads. But in January of this year I decided to do it again but with my own standards and promised to not compare my journal to other people’s and I’m having a much better time. Now I go for a more minimal journal with lots of stickers instead of drawings
I am absolutely in love with this theme 😍🎃❤
🎃 Totally get what you mean about the 2020 bujo community nostalgia 😢! I'm definitely guilty of quitting when the pressure of creating full monthly set ups got too much when life/work returned to more of a normality in mid 2021. I love these bujo videos, but also really love your stand alone painting videos, so create what makes you happiest! If you know you want to create a bujo theme for an upcoming month you could always just film painting the cover page...so it fits with your normal painting videos, but it's there in your bujo if you want to use it in the month. ❤
this is the perfect theme, I LOVE your nails too 😍😍
I am actually not really suprised to hear u talking about "quitting bullet journaling videos".
I made a magical autumnal theme for the month 🎃
something I use for my books to help with the pages falling out and keeping the "spine" intact , I bought some white and black artist tape. which helps add some structure. Just a thought
U are so Talented and Brave,! I totally understand n connect with you as I also go through same feeling some time! I loved yr video so pls don't stop creating this ❤God bless u
🎃 lovely!
oooh i'm gonna miss your videos, but i totally get that it's so much work! I'm totally overloaded with all the projects i've filmed but haven't had time to edit, so much effort goes into it. People often don't get that at all. Take care of yourself, find your way and find your joy again - or don't do it! Lots of love to you!
i love all your content!!! just follow your hart! you inspire me!! ❤❤❤
I'm glad you're making choices to make posting to your channel more fun for you, I'm sorry to hear that the content you were making made bullet journaling more difficult :(
I'd like to make a suggestion.
You do you. For you. ❤ Still going to follow you and your lovely painting videos from the Finnish nature. Greetings from the fjords of western Norway.
(also same is true with the plant community, it spiked in 2020 and has slowed down since)
Magnifique 😍
🎃🎃so creative
🎃 beautiful theme as always
Great work ❤️🎃
Looking forward to your new videos.
I'd miss seeing yours, you are one of the best, but it's important to do what brings you joy.
Have you ever thought about doing a watercolor class where you teach watercolor techniques?
Your art is so beautiful. I also want to fill my sketchbook with this kind of drawings . Love💜 from India 🇮🇳
🥧all I could find was pumpkin pie.
🎃🍂
You are very talented. Maybe try doing a few SkillShare videos. That way you can set the lengths of videos.
🎃
so i obviously like your content and all but my question this time around isss :D i got the exact journal for 2024 coincidentally :D does the paper really hold up without warping with the watercolor how do you feel in the long run of using it :) do you have any suggestions like use less water or do this do that kinda advise ??
btw don't put that much pressure on yourself take a break or do smt excites you.
artist to artist i know the frustration of trying to appeal to people with your art.
create a challenge that is capable of exciting you.. i quit journaling this year and planning to get back at 2024
what i realise is to improve as an artist you need to suffer a little bit gotta get out of your comfort zone accept the discomfort into your stride but that doesn't mean it should become a torment either i guess ballance is the key :) i dunno
🎃🎃🎃
To everything there is a season, and even the soil that nourishes the 🎃s that inspired your beautiful painting must lie fallow from time to time to breathe and take in sunlight and water in order to regenerate its nutrients.
Rest easy.
I will really miss your bujo videos if you stop making them, but I understand wanting to do what you need. My October theme is Edgar Allan Poe.
👍❤
🎃 I just came across your channel with this video and just wanted to say that these videos don't have to be "plan with me" videos. You can video it and attach it to anything. A vlog, a rant, make them shorts. You make lovely layouts and I don't even bullet journal, but I do use my sketchbook as a journal and make use of some of the ideas per book. Make it less stressful on yourself, but also if you're doing it anyway the content is easily there. (Tbh I think stuff like this would be perfect for reels or shorts to at least show off the finished product).
Don’t you like Halloween?
I think a big part of your burnout comes from having to put up a video out there -- which I've seen happen in other communities, like Booktube. Maybe if you take a couple of months off, just journal for yourself, you'll feel differently and will be able to start posting your BuJo here.
I have to be honest, though. I don't think I'll keep following the channel if there are no more BuJo videos. I think your art is amazing, but I'm not an artist. I'm a journaler. So I can't learn from your art or recreate it (which I wish I could, btw). But I wish you the best of luck of I will miss your videos if you decide to pivot your channel.
take all the time u need fr 🫶🏻
and i also started journalling like in quarantine but now ive been behind since like july and im always saying to myself i will do it but bcs of college i just cant find the time and stuff
but i dont say i neccecerally stopped im just on a long break haha and im prob still gonna fill in every month that i missed in a vacation or something bcs i did keep all my info in my notes app :)
