After a very busy week and starting our engine for the FIRST time in 3 months we are THRILLED to be leaving the docks for the FIRST TIME! Unfortunately as it is we have a few troubles actually getting out of the marina.
This is our story! Our story of a family with big dreams to sail off into the deep blue sea. Come along with us while we pack up our lives and make the ocean our new home.

What is the Cruising Meraki Project?
The “Project” began back in 2018 when we first decided to start working towards a goal of sailing the world as 3 generations. The term “Project” is fitting for us as we are working together collaboratively to achieve a common goal.
meraki [mer-ah-kee] (verb) This is a word that modern Greeks often use to describe doing something with soul, creativity, or love - when you put “something of yourself” into what you’re doing, whatever it may be.

Thanks for showing the troubles that you guys are encountering. I enjoy seeing the issues and how they were fixed. It shows that there will always be challenges, but you just need to work through them. I think it’s good to show the good and the bad.
There’s always a lot of work on an old boat but we’re so thankful for her. We’re even pretty thankful for all that work at the start, it ensured we knew every system on Meraki.

Hi Coles' & Walker's! I have enjoyed watching these videos so much! It's inspirational to see you all take on this momentous challenge with such positivity. I think it is simply awesome that you are 3 generations setting out on such an adventure; a real life changing experience. I loved seeing Kevin and Mick working on the engine, glad you got her going. Kevin and my Grandad fixed many a motor during their years together on the sea. When I heard Kevin diagnosing the engine trouble, it was like listening to him and my Grandad talk back in the day. I will look forward to following your story along here and on Instagram. All the best, and may there always be fair winds and following seas wherever you may travel.
