A suggestion on the coffee solution, check out copper cow coffee, they have instant pour over Vietnamese coffee it’s really delicious and the have packs of liquid creamer with sugar that doesn’t require refrigeration , this is what I take camping, all you need is hot water
Thinking of doing something similar with my TJ Jeep here in the UK, but how do you deal with the number 2 issue though? Ps What are the dimensions of the wooden bed?
I don’t have the dimensions of it, I kinda just threw it together in a few hours. As far as bathroom situation I would go to a Walmart if I was near town or if I was camping I would dig a hole!
I have a 2016 JK 2-door and have not solved the problem of what to do with the front passenger seat. I would like to remove it, but you have to disconnect the airbag and seat belt connectors and this causes the dashboard lights to come on and remain on. I also wish that seat would lie flat, it would solve our issue. I wish now that I had purchased the 4-door wrangler. In that way I could sleep flat without 2-3 inches of my feet sticking out of the back. Keep looking for a solution.
@@H.pylori so far, I have managed to make it work by building a small platform. I got the model from google image where it gives you a rough dimension of 2dr wrangler. It’s height is just above the arm rest, and with the chair pushed up, it gives me plenty of room now!
@H.pylori.. re 2015 jk.. my pass seat folds flat into a 6-4 bed. Your platform build should match the folded seat height. Remove the seat back and look at the 4 bolt pivot plate. It's actually quite easy to do but If you always follow the rules, forget it! Buy a 4 door.
Thank you for sharing! I have a question, what do you use as a heater when cold out? I have that 12v thing in back of jeep which always puts out power, even when jeep turned off. I am still learning so I hope this makes sense. Me and my dog in a 2-door. Not all the time but like a 2-3 days a week. Not permanent
This was a summer setup so it never got below freezing. I was comfortable with a 50 degree sleeping bag on the coldest nights. They make small 12v heaters that might be perfect for your situation - just be careful!
Very informative video! Have you had any issues with the Jeep at altitude? I want to take my ‘04 to Ouray next summer to explore the epic trails there.
The biggest things I would say is the lack of power that comes with being at altitude and using 85 octane gas. Also making sure you have good brakes is important because of the mountain passes.
@@seansspeakers Thanks for the info, I can tell from driving in the Ozarks I’m a little under geared so I’m sure that’ll be even more apparent in Colorado. Probably will end up trailering the Jeep out there and back.
Well done with the work you do! The Jeep setu is amazing and I intend to use the same methods for our TJ we're busy buying. Nice!
Thank you! It did the trick for the time, if I were to do it again I would make the bed a little more comfortable lol

That sounds like a great solution, I’ll check it out 🤙

I'm going to have to trade in my van down by the river.
Just got my first Jeep 22 Wrangler JL. Could use some advice on accessories!
Thank you for the idea 🤙
hey do you know if 2015 wrangler passenger seat can be modded or replaced with ones opens flat?

@@mastergamers3564 Hey, thanks for the info and the prompt reply. I will check it out. You may have solved this for a lot of other people.

@@seansspeakers awesome thank you!
Carnation can cream milk is good for camping :)
Can you charge your solar generator when you are driving?
Nope, since I have a soft top there was no good way to mount it anywhere

Nice! The lack of power is my biggest reason to upgrade to a newer vehicle, but if I could I would just swap a diesel or V8 into the Jeep lol
awesome video, what can of jeep tj you have?
Thanks for watching! I have an ‘05
How tall are you? What is the length of the bed?
