One of the the, if not the most favorite movie of my childhood. Starman, Short Circuit, Flight of the Navigator...such gems. But Starman will forever hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for the video and thank you to John Carpenter for making it!

So cool that you can , on a whim, look up old R&E movie reviews. Glad and NOT surprised they liked it so much. Two thumbs up for posting this! Nice extra editing there, too! A fine movie which I just this morning re-watched for the first time in decades! Love it!

The scene with the hunter and the deer was later ripped off by the movie Powder.

It was slightly different. It of course owes Starman for the idea.
I for one wish more movies had scenes like these that teach empathy & compassion. Gods know the world needs more like Starman & Powder.
I saw Starman at 8 years old. The deer scene mkved me to tears and left me wishing I could fix the sick, wounded, dying or dead because that pain is the worst. I was left with never having any interest in hunting for food or sport or having any type of gun or other weapon. The world has enough suffering, why oh why would some willingly cause more if it ?

I wonder if the Starman was acquainted with the machines searching for V'Ger.

I believe in 1986 it did have a TV series continuation which I've never seen. Cheers
