The live actors did an amazing job for the live action and each really felt alive to me in their own ways (especially sanji, they absolutely killed it), but I can’t deny that after 20+ years, the original Japanese VAs are pretty much the heart and soul of making the crew come alive, and even add a special flavour to the dubbing. Ultimately, I’m glad both versions are valid in their own ways and am really excited to see more!

I think its pretty amusing that after decades of having english VA's working hard to match the original voice cast's performances. Now we have the original cast having to do that very task for the live action actors versions of the characters they made famous. I know its nothing new to the original cast dubbing western stuff, but still we have come full circle!
I didn't know they had a Japanese dub that just like the anime, maybe its actually the anime dub team real voice actor doing the netflix series too. How did we miss this Easter egg.
my god the sanji va in his fight with kuroobi sounds so much more natural and full of energy. Its just when the original actor did it his voice sounds very light but sanjis is pretty deep

Mayumi Tanaka is a freakin' goddess. I love how she imprinted a deeper voice on Luffy to match Iñaki, yet still is so undeniably her at the same time.

I remember in middle school walking at a public pool wearing sandals, imagining I was Luffy strolling up to Arlong Park haha.
This was a great show it had its faults but I really enjoyed l, it was funny and entertaining and they Sticked to the source material

In english version luffy said I will destroy everything you build. Is it the same in Japanese dub? Seems off to me
