You should give Aldis another try. They're definitely cheaper than Walmart and their quality is better, too. They also have isles called "Aldis finds" with all cheap stuff too. They do have name brand stuff, but some of their brand is just a good than the name brand. Trust me, I used to be a brand snob. I love Aldi's tho.

I would never consider purchasing meat from Walmart because my parents' bought some years ago and I remember that the meat had a weird texture and flavor. But needless to say, my parents' never purchased their meats again.

I only go to Walmart for odds and ends. Aldi has grass fed beef currently for $3.99 a pound......the 85/15. It's cheaper than the less quality grain fed burger.
You Could have save a lot making your own sauce. I have been using Rachel Rays spaghetti sauce recipe for the last 20 years. Once I learned how to make my own sauce, I never purchased pergo or regu ever again. It is so easy!

I watched a video where an Italian cook was saying, Adding carrots is a great way to cut the acidity of the tomato sauce without using sugar. However, we’re just happy you were able to feed your children well and they can be full!
You should check the freezer meat section, some walmarts carry 'festive' brand ground turkey that is preseasoned. They make an italian style version that is🔥in spaghetti! They have a taco version that is pretty good too and a breakfast sausage one but I haven't tried it and they have just plain turkey as well. They are only $2 for a 1 pound roll and can really help with keeping your meat budget low. If they run out of the italian style I buy the regular and make my own italian style version and it works just as well. If you add beef bullion to the plain turkey while it cooks it works well in hamburger helpers.

Aldi is a European store that is here in the USA. Their brands are not American, but they include brands that we are accustomed to using. Which means many of their products are better than ours because they ban a lot of the junk stuff that American brands easily include. Many of Walmart’s great value things have been recalled because of contaminated ingredients.
Baby, I would have gotten a big pack of beans, cornbread mix, eggs, Hamburger meat and a pack of rice.😃 they would have been real full and would have eggs and rice for the next day. Alone with them leftover beans.
Spaghetti is definitely a meal that will stretch! I don’t have kids but have had to rely on them struggle meals lol you may spend a little more than $10 but do you like rotisserie chicken? They are usually 5 to 8 dollars, can of French style green beans and some white rice with cream of mushroom on top with a slice of bread 😋😋 I still love that meal

I always have to put a little sugar in my spaghetti sauce and chili because it cuts down on the acid from the tomatoes. If i didn’t I would have acid reflex, belching up the acid from the tomatoes in not pleasant at all.

You have to put sugar in tomato sauce. Spaghetti is a reasonably cheap and easy meal. It makes a lot of food. That's important when you have a large family to feed. Great job. Thanks for the video.

The sugar stabilizes the acidity in the sauce due to the tomatoes, some Italians do it and that meal was Italian. Too much acidity in the body wreaks havoc and creates diseases in the body, so, yes, it is good to do. That ought to make it fun for them to learn. Everyone did well as a team and that is precious. I always have to put a little sugar in my spaghetti sauce and chili because it cuts down on the acid from the tomatoes. If i didn’t I would have acid reflex, belching up the acid from the tomatoes in not pleasant at all.
I add sugar to my sauce. My uncle made the best sauce and he added grated carrot for the sugar.
