But needless to say, my parents' never purchased their meats again.

You should check the freezer meat section, some walmarts carry 'festive' brand ground turkey that is preseasoned. They make an italian style version that is🔥in spaghetti! They have a taco version that is pretty good too and a breakfast sausage one but I haven't tried it and they have just plain turkey as well. They are only $2 for a 1 pound roll and can really help with keeping your meat budget low. If they run out of the italian style I buy the regular and make my own italian style version and it works just as well. If you add beef bullion to the plain turkey while it cooks it works well in hamburger helpers.

I've had to use sugar in sauce in chili and a few other things...it's not enough to hurt anyone and it really adds another layer of flavor...and it's not sweet just takes the tangy out of it.

The daily is going to be your best friend to get a certain amount of slices of meat and cheese that can fit your family needs. It works and its a lot cheaper than buying package cheese and meats

You have to put sugar in tomato sauce. Spaghetti is a reasonably cheap and easy meal. It makes a lot of food. That's important when you have a large family to feed. Great job. Thanks for the video.

You were supposed to put a little sugar in spaghetti sauce it takes the acidity down to a lower level

The sugar stabilizes the acidity in the sauce due to the tomatoes, some Italians do it and that meal was Italian. Too much acidity in the body wreaks havoc and creates diseases in the body, so, yes, it is good to do. That ought to make it fun for them to learn. Everyone did well as a team and that is precious. BTW, I appreciate that the kids are clean, well dressed, and their skin looks smooth and soft. Thanks for the trip. May all of you enjoy a spectacular summer.

I always have to put a little sugar in my spaghetti sauce and chili because it cuts down on the acid from the tomatoes. If i didn’t I would have acid reflex, belching up the acid from the tomatoes in not pleasant at all.

you could have saved even more money with buying tomato paste and just add water and spices to make the sauce and a lot less additives.
