  • First some housekeeping. Since UA-cam won't let me link more than one previous video in this video, The only one that has a popup link is the sharpening video. The rest of the videos I refer to can be found on my channel. You can hunt for them, or you can just check the links below.

Now that I have that out of the way... This video is truly a trash to treasure story. The wood for this piece was obtained from a tree that was blown down during a storm here in PA. The storm, according to the National Weather Service, was just some heavy winds. I'm definitely no expert but this happened right around the corner from where I live. It sounded like a tornado to me. If you ask the locals in the most damaged area, they'd tend to agree with the tornado assessment. Needless to say it was a big blow. Sometimes a 'big blow' sounds like a good thing. But in this case, definitely not. Trees were scattered everywhere like someone tossed a box of toothpicks on the floor. Now I didn't actually toss a box of toothpicks on the floor to get the comparison. I'm using my imagination and a little bit of poetic license. Ok, it's true. I tend to exaggerate a bit. If you ask my friends they'll tell you I tend to exaggerate like a billion times more than most people and I've been doing it since before the world was created. True story! I mean that's totally believable right? I think it's about 1000% accurate.
Anyway, I write these silly descriptions to kill time. It takes UA-cam like forever and a day to upload and verify a video. There's like a billion checks to make sure the content meets all the UA-cam guidelines. I guess that's why they make the big money. The people there have to eat too right? Ok, that's enough for now. I have things to do and places to go (not really, but it sounded good right?) No one reads these descriptions anyway so I guess it doesn't really matter what I type in the description...
