    Another good one, what I think would make it even better is maybe explaining what your thoughts and goals were during the “roll”. Thanks for the upload!

    Hope you do more matches with men who are trying to fight and win. I didn’t see the triangle coming; now I understand how you can negate a stronger and aggressive opponent.
    Would only armbars and triangles work mainly because of the surprise element? You couldn’t land a bow and arrow could you?

    • @FallonFratone
      @FallonFratone  2 роки тому +3

      I could do bow and arrows if I forced it, I try to just take what's given to me though based off of reactions. If the guy isn't turning away I'm not going to go for it. I'll just take what's already in front of me.

  • @georgehenderson7783

    Cory may be bigger and heavier but still he is only a white belt and so it takes some guys to roll with a brown belt.
    Love how you took advantage of when he was in your triangle and made the mistake of extending his legs in fron of him trying to hook them around you and you easily rolled him over into the mounted triangle and then, can't really see from this angle, finished it with a kimura?
    That kimura from 4:05 was badass! 😎

    • @FallonFratone
      @FallonFratone  2 роки тому +1

      HI! he has super long legs so I thought he was going to be able to get out of my triangle when he sat back like that! Yes, it was a kimura grip, but ended up getting the tap with a straight arm lock. Thank you, that's my favorite submission lately!

    • @georgehenderson7783
      @georgehenderson7783 2 роки тому

      @@FallonFratone I like to see kimuras rather than armbars, as they are uncomfortable but less dangerous. Seen a lot of armbar injuries, most not serious but rendering a competitor unable to compete further on that day.
      But still, the vast majority of armbars don't result in any injury, as most people have respect for their opponents and don't take them too far. 😇

    Wow, that was really impressive! Ok, he's a white belt, but still, seeing a girl of your size dominating a fight with someone, not only taller than you, but taller than lots of men, is really a great acomplishment!

    That was awesome, a truly brilliant example of how technique can triumph size!
    Can I ask you who is the biggest white belt you have at your gym, and if you can make a video of you rolling with him?

    You need a different skill set for taller opponents with longer legs compared to shorter opponents. What works on an opponent at 5'6 may not work on an opponent at 5'11 or 6'. And what works on a 6' opponent may not work on a 6'4 opponent.

    Very impressive how you made his significant size advantages disappear. You just kept frustrating his attacks causing him to lose focus and fall prey to your legs on multiple occasions. The mounted triangle looked rough.
    He must've gotten a lot out of it because you always having an answer for whatever he did had to have impressed him. He was in bottom a lot, so I bet he stayed tired from fall to fall. Fun roll.

      Yes of course. In fact is what I said.
      The gap of skill between a brown belt (9 years of training) and a white belt is abysmal.
      As this gap decreases the chances for someone who is bigger and stronger increase.

      @bradanderson4192 2 роки тому

      @@FallonFratone I would like to see you face a totally new aggressive and spazzy guy, if you are fine with it.
      That's because I think your videos have the potential to prove that a skilled girl can defend herself against larger, stronger men, which is something is important to make people aware of because:
      -It would force many ignorant men to reasses their outdated beliefs on the subject and to start respecting females athlete more.
      -It would inspire many girls to actually start training for self defense, which could only benefit them and it's by far the most important thing.
      However I'm afraid most people would be convinced only if your opponent is completely new and he tried to overpower you with brute strenght and aggressiveness like an untrained guy would.
      That's because unfortunately the average person doesn't understand anything about BJJ, so when he/she see two trained people both engaging in complex, calculated and tactical sequences of moves and countermoves they can't tell what's going on and they mistake the behiavours they don't understand for "going easy" or "letting her win".
      Watching you control a spazzy guy who is trying to bench press you off with all his might will do wonder to change their minds.
