      Maybe if she lost weight her CPAP would no longer be required ....... . ........ not fat shaming, my mother and father BOTH ended up with a CPAP and excessive weight IS ONE OF THE PROBLEMS THAT CAN CAUSE SOMEONE TO NEED A CPAP. If she were REALLY concerned about her health she would do EVERYTHING she could to lessen the causative factors.
      Period.
      BTW - neither one of my parents were morbidly obese. And they NEVER reached HER LEVEL OF MORBID OBEISITY. She is obese BECAUSE she uses it as an excuse.

    I think that there should be set levels of punishment with each DWI/DUI. At 4, should face at least 20 years in prison.

      @tomk.3428 20 years in prison would be an unreasonable punishment for the taxpayer. There are far more effective and cost-efficient solutions, but the yewtoob censorbots will not permit discussion of those.

    Good on that judge for finally holding her accountable so she can't do this again. Her rolling her eyes at his comments is so telling. She's obviously used her physical limitations as an excuse for years and gotten away with it. Finally she didn't.

    Loved one killed by a drunk driver 5 yrs ago. She killed 2 men (3 if you count their father who died 2 months later of a broken heart), left 6 children without their fathers, and left many broken hearts! She received 3 years served less then 1 1/2 years and the rest of us have been sentenced to a life sentence!

      Actually, that was about the ONLY thing that she said that might have validity. People with severe sleep apnea issues can develop hallucinations after doing without their CPAP for 3-4 days. They may stop eating and drinking, and they can actually die. I know. My father was headed downhill because the hospital nursing staff did not make sure my father was on a CPAP. They put him on oxygen instead thinking that would suffice. After we raised a stink, they finally asked somnologist who confirmed that oxygen was not a valid substitution for a CPAP. It took my dad (95) about 2 weeks to recover from being without the CPAP for 4 days.

    4 DUIs! Really! This is ridiculous. She has to have a cpap machine, and prison doesn't allow it. It's obvious she only thinks what's good for her, not taking accountability for herself. I am so sick of the pity parties people think everyone else has agree with. If she can continue to drink, she can sit in prison. Maybe she will lose weight and not need cpap machine. I don't feel a bit sorry anybody but the people on the road who may end up her victim.

    DUI LAWS SHOULD BE:1st 5 to 10 YEARS, 2nd 20 to 30 YEARS 3rd 40 to 50 YEARS and 4th Life. People MAKE CHOICES to DRINK/GET HIGH & DRIVE. Everyone knows it's Dangerous and illegal. They make the CHOICE to drink/high. They make the CHOICE to go to their vehicle and get in. They make the CHOICE to turn it on and DRIVE. The MAKE THE CHOICE. And they do it OVER & OVER again. They DON'T CARE if they hit someone, if they have kids in the car, they DON'T care when they put everyone around them danger. They ONLY care when they are in a courtroom and in front of a judge. And can use their health &family as excuses. They don't care about ANYONE BUT THEMSELVES. Once they walk out of the courtroom, it's right back to drinking/getting high. It's BS what people get away with.

    • @rbra9611
      @rbra9611 8 днів тому +3

      @ it is exactly how it works. Her sentences run “concurrently” or at the same time. In Michigan, sentences have a min and a max unless stated otherwise. You must serve the min before you are eligible for parole. The 1st sentence was a max of 5; which means the min is 0 before she is eligible for parole but the 2nd sentence had a min of 6 months. She will serve the 6 before she is eligible for parole.

    Just take note, if you let your body go to pot, you will have a lot of health problems later in life. You don't need to be an Olympic athlete but keeping in just moderate shape will prevent this. Don't expect everyone to feel bad for you when your body starts to fall apart.

      Unless you have an autoimmune disorder that destroys your spine. I worked 40 years as a nurse with this. Finally had to go on disability because of constant severe headaches and less and less ability to walk. Not every disease is lifestyle related. But I do agree her problem is likely from all the empty calories from alcohol. She screams about cpap, yet she consumes large quantities of alcohol which is a respiratory depressant! Glad she got jail.

    You drive drunk over and over again extremely lucky that you didn’t maim or kill somebody. I abhor drunk drivers.. Her and attorney are spilling her tale of woes.. 99.9 percent sure she has and had some of these medical problems while she was out driving drunk.. It’s absolutely absurd that assertion of potentially dying in prison.. Another act of selfishness.. After at least to DUI’S .. The thought of making better decisions or revamping her thought process.. One DUI might be an error judgement( definitely not inferring that’s okay one bit..we are human our tendency towards screwing up sometime is a reality) Four DUI’S is way beyond a pattern.. Obviously whatever consequences or non consequences she suffered for actions .. as anyone can ascertain with 💯 percent clarity was in fact inadequate.. I believe some judges and or ADA’S felt sorry for her as she aged into a senior citizen .. thus the slaps on the wrist.. I have a query might be a little simplistic..Why are you still drinking when you’re aware of your multitude of health problems?? Hmmm 🤔 How do you expect the court to acknowledge your medical condition and what I see your feign concern about them.. when the choices you make can only compound in fact speed up the inevitable outcome of your health.. Prison is the only place wherein the public will be safe..and we will have one less drunk driver on the road.. Actions and consequences 101 the up close and personal lesson.. It’s time to pay the piper…Whenever you are released it is my hope your stay would give you the opportunity to reflect how choices affect life in its entirety..
