    And that's all from me for this season! It's been a really fun first year on youtube, I'm so glad I started this channel and am very appreciative of all of you for taking the time to watch my videos. Good luck to everybody on reaching their end of season goals, and I'll see you all on the other side (pre-season :p) 🥰

      Dude your doing so well! Loved the bomb meme and totally funny! The advice was good about concepts to think about and your slaying it man, keep it up and don’t worry about how slow your channels growing as you totally have good enough content to expand it!

    I'm a challenger player and this actually helped me.
    My brain is dying as I've been playing this game for so long and my gameplay has really suffered over the past few years and it has been getting harder and harder to achieve good gameplay.
    I sat there and took a moment to actually wonder why my brain goes on autopilot and then I ran across this gem.
    It's kind of a slap in the face, in a good way.
    A pie slap.
    Appreciate your time and effort put into something you would think would be common sense.

    Played the game for 11 years. Best educational video i've ever seen by FAR. I'm a piano teacher and this relationship you describe with autopilot is on point. It's veeeery obvious in rts, where players are basically manipulating each other's attention until the inefficiencies become too big to recover from (kind of a stat check). In AOE2 even a little rush with 3 weak infantry units early (drush) can completely win you the game as the defending player will scramble to build a few defenses, move his villagers around... in league it's crazy how easy it is to hit skillshots and poke if you focus on hitting the ennemy when he's going for a minion/cannon. For a fraction of a second their mind in focused on this, and you get to hit them for free (+champs can't move while aa).

    Absolutely love your content, this really helps me be more accountable. Too many games in top lane I start off strong but by lvl 7 I've lost my focus.

    Bonks, you couldn't have released this video at a better time for me. I was just diagnosed with ADHD this week and I've been frustrated with struggling to focus and losing attention in various areas of life including League, which I'm trying to climb to high elo. Since my diagnosis I've been looking for all different sorts of coping strategies on how to maintain my focus better, and these tips and tricks you gave helps me regain a lot more agency. Thank you so much for always releasing high quality guides.

    I literally climbed from bronze to plat popping off and stomping nearly every game easily, then I started half-assing and just started not even planning anything because I thought it was too easy. Then I just went on a cold streak and nearly tilt playing bad every game.

    Soooo i'm gold/low plat, and i find that i have two main problems:
    - the 'softer' one is what i call the "soloQ support curse" which is basically 4:15 but i do it and it's meaningless, i call for baron after an ace and my donkey teammates don't come, just reset, i see a potential dragon fight where we have an advantage and instead of fighting, then doing dragon these people start it right away just to have it stolen. Like WTF these calls are pretty obvious ones, and yet people just ignore them.
    - the harder one is i don't know when to trade and when not to, but not because i can't see openings, i literally don't know whether my champ deals more damage than the enemy or not. This turns into me not getting a big enough lead in lane to actually snowball if i play like a pussy or even worse, lose lane because i opt into a trade and end up dead. Is the only solution to this problem playing more? I feel like i'm not being able to just absorb it implicitly just from practice and that the only reliable playstyle for consistent winrate (60%+) is snowballing the map through roaming from mid, but i can't reliably stomp lane the way i should, even with lane bullies like sett/diana.
    Any suggestions are very much appreciated

      @nguyenkhanhtoan2859 3 роки тому +1

      I am Silver at best so I am worse at the game, but for your issue, I may have a few solutions. The first problem can’t be solved easily in soloQ environment, but for the second one, I think stepping away from ranked for a short period and limit test constantly in norms is the best way to go. ( U can technically limit test in ranked too but that would be less than ideal).

    The logical endpoint is reaching autopilot on every facet of the game and entering flow state, right?

    • @Bonks
      @Bonks  3 роки тому

      Idk hard to say, I think it has disadvantages in league so I didnt wanna mention it

    • @mattbell888
      @mattbell888 3 роки тому

      @@Bonks could you elaborate on that? Or a video on it. I disagree, I think in flow state we are also at our most malleable and adaptable, and even if you can't reach it striving for it will help you improve in the long run.

    • @Bonks
      @Bonks  3 роки тому

      @@mattbell888 because a lot of concepts in league at the highest level require logical thought, like planning your overall strategy, syncing your waves up with your team to set up plays ahead of time etc, if you get too absorbed in the game it becomes difficult to logically compute these things. There are infinite potential game states and team comps you can have, so you cant leave these kinds of things to autopilot, you have to figure them out in the moment. Putting in that thought breaks your flow state, so it's kind of impossible/suboptimal to maintain it in competitive league. Maybe in soloq it's good but idk, I'm not a psychiatrist would have to google it more
