I legitimately have over 2500 kills (about 650 deaths) in this thing. It was my first premium ever and I just played this at 6.3 getting all the way up to 9.7 US with it. I have no regrets.
With the updated BRS the T28 is now much stronger, all of the HEAT rounds of 300 and 400mm pen are 8.0 or 7.7, and since the T28 is 6.3 IT can never encounter them
Watch out for Japan, though, specifically the Type 75, Type 99, and Type 60. As Type-75 75 and 99 can overpressure kill you from the cupola, The Type 60 (SPRG) has 433 milimeters of pen, and the Type 60 (ATM) has 500. The Type 60s are both 6.7, the Type 75 is 6.3. And the Type 99 is 7.3 Edit: I say this as a Japan player with 4 T95 kills to my name. And the T28 is basically identical.
@@Yamato4002 Correct, remember though you can still fight all of the above vehicles in uptiers. And the Type 60s and the 75 are 6.3-6.7 so you'll fight them often
"You don't need to trench in. You ARE the trench." Thats what makes the T28 so deadly. On one on one encounters it wil almost always win if you were not flanked.
Only reason I’d consider getting it is that’s it one of my favorites. But I’d just rather grind to get the T95 because they are literally the same vehicle. Other than the T28 has the premium boost
I quite playing mine because I always, ALWAYS end up fighting bulldogs... I never even get to a second line firing area's before I get flanked or hit by other heat slingers... 🤕😭😭🤕
@@unnecessaryammorack it does weight less but because you remove the extra track the ground pressure doubled which would cause it to get stuck easily. The speed was limited due to the gearing of the transmission. The engine was already super under powered as well. T28 was never meant to be operated without its outer tracks. Also T28 and T95 are the same tank regardless if it has one or two sets of tracks, since they were removable for transportation.
T28 is great on maps where ingagements are fast like Berlin, Al Alamein and advance to the Rhein. Do not deploy this on maps like Ash river, fire arc or other medium to large maps.
I got [Domination] Poland (Winter) once, went for C with the T28, and somebody died, spawned in a plane, and bombed me before I even got to the ridge line overlooking B

T28 is just a T95 without the extra trucks... the actual tank that is now in display was design with that feature.. to help it in narrow bridges..thats why are detachable..the hole operation to remove the 2 extra tracks was 2 hours job......but the project canceled ... i rarely take out my T95.. when i do.. i m having fun to be the punch sack..and get 2-5 kills with it.. is amazing to have 2-3-4--5 enemy front of you to try to kill you even with rockets..(marder A1- .. ) funny to gimmick tank..... but nothing to rely on.. or be useful in the matches.. + the bad optic zoom.. i still wonder what the people had in mind when they put down the requirements to make some tanks and most are US origin.. why to pick worst optics.
The fact that the T28 is nearly identical to the T95 and sits at a lower BR shows that Gaijin has no qualms about making questionable decisions if it means making more money. It also means that they are aware that many players ask that the T95 gain a lower BR and maintenance cost, and use this to their advantage for their own benefit. Now about the GE the situation is even worse, the T28 is so ridiculously expensive that for the same price you get it it would be possible to speed up the search for all vehicles between the M2A2 and the T95 itself.
@@Chris-fb8xf you’re lucky then, l recently hit 6.3 in both Russia and the US, and every game I’ve played with American tanks I’ve been in an uptier, and quite frequently I’ve even seen 7.7 tanks which doesn’t make sense to me. With Russia it usually isn’t too bad and I sometimes see downtiers

👍. It’s interesting that the t 28 has the same speed as acceleration & speed as the t 95.
Their the same tank so it’s not surprising.
