Mine came today and I’m blown away. For £90 Microsoft have seriously undercut the competition. I had SteelSeries Arctis 9X and this one is better sound most importantly for comparison and also seriously punching when it comes to features like USB type C, native Xbox compatibility, multiple device Bluetooth connection, intuitive volume control and fit and finish is innovative. It is truely one of those products that you can’t understand how they managed to pack in so much for so little price. By the way anyone on the fence about buying don’t watch the Linus review, he doesn’t take it seriously and then says the audio is basically sub standard. His vibe is a little weird. Honestly the audio is better than anything in the market around $200-£$300. I’ve had no pairing issues also.
You really think so? I have both this and the 9x as well and I haven’t been too impressed by the Xbox Wireless headset. I find it to be just decent and nothing special. Maybe it’s my settings 🤷🏽♂️

I snagged it and I love it. I didn’t have any pairing issues like you did. Mine happened pretty quick. Sound is amazing. I love bass and I haven’t even adjusted mine higher than what it’s set to on the game setting. I have to get use to which ways the game vs chat go. I’ve muted my teammates while playing and got mad no one was talking haha. But I’m VERY happy with the headset. One thing I haven’t seen people mentioning is the sounds it makes when you turn it on/off. It’s like the boot up sound for the Xbox. Also it beeps when you press the mute button. Absolutely love this headsets.
I can’t tell if this comment is a reach for likes or if you’re actually deaf. There’s options for audio on every console and foot steps have already been proven to be 25% louder than any cod in the last 4 years
That's cool they sent you a customized headset holder. I like the dial feature to adjust volume & party chat. I don't recall you mentioning it here, but I checked the official site and this does come with a steel headband with cushioning. Often times, the headband is the part that takes the most stress and breaks. For $99.99, this is a good deal.
I pre-ordered and received these on launch day here in Canada. The ONLY complaint I have with these, is that of the material they used for the ear pads. They get a bit sweaty when you use them for an extended period of time. You can take them off, so hopefully they offer some different materials down the road. Otherwise, they’re a massive steal for the price.

LucidSound has been doing the earcup volume dials for 7+ years now, and I've been wanting other companies to utilize it because it's such a good and easy/user-friendly way to do it. Buttons are a thing of the past!
If it’s somewhat hard to see whether you’re muted or not, that’s a significant problem, especially if you tend be around others a lot while gaming. I wonder if they considered adding Cortana support so you can use voice commands and mute yourself that way. Although I’m sure that would’ve driven up the price.

What I love best about the headset is you can Bluetooth and listen to music and take calls from your phone while it's Bluetoothed to the console! That's so awesome! And you can adjust your music and game volume so everything sounds perfect!
i just got my xbox series x two days ago and of course i had to upgrade my headset and picked these up today. i was on a xbox one x with the $30 astro a10 cheapy headset. the difference is so great it almost makes me mad ive been missing out for so long. it feels good to wear. play with the settings in the accessory app and it truly is amazing for 100 bucks. forgot to mention, i had to use a bass booster controller plug-in adapter to get deep base in the past and this being wireless, i wasnt sure if i would be happy with the bass but its amazing and has bass boost options in the app. never have i had a headset that was too loud. ive always had mine on max but this thing is LOUD and for the first time i turn it down. amazing product.

I’m just surprised they went with leather instead of fabric or mesh for the earcups. Leathers fine for music headphones, but mesh is usually more optional for extended gaming sessions, lasts far longer.

I just realized I could listen to podcasts or UA-cam videos with this instead of having to throw in an AirPod and having one ear cup on my headset on. That’s making me want it alone.

How's the Dolby Atmos performance? I'm thinking about leaving the equalizer on the headset settings flat and letting Atmos to that work with their presets, it seems to do a good job.
Just ordered these, my turtle beach 700 gen 2 have lasted a few years but its having the expected issues that turtle beach usually seem to have after a couple of years, these seem a lot cleaner and easier to use and the build quality seems a lot better compared to what I’ve currently got, solid replacement is all i wanted as I’m not an audiophile so not splashing out £150-£200 on a headset anymore if they’re not going to last.
the new headset is amazing been trying it for a couple of days already and it war worth the money in my opinion ( in my country they delivered them for some reason a little bit early. as soon as i got the message that they had arrived runned to shop before they changed their minds or realize that it was only suposed to be released on the 16th and not on 10th of march xD)
Got these from BB as well (I work there and preordered them). Was super stoked as I have the worst luck with headsets not fitting all my wants and needs. I have a big dome, want mic monitoring and bluetooth connectivity. These initially were too tight of a fit on the top of my head. I wore them again tonight and thought I had them all the way stretched out but I was wrong, there was more le-way. Not sure what happened there but now the fit is better. Bluetooth works although it'd be awesome to have play/pause next/prev track buttons. My biggest gripes? Too much bass. I adjusted the EQ and got them where I wanted them, but from the factory: wayyyy too strong. 2nd: MIC MONITORING SUCKS. Seriously, it's non existent, even at high in the settings. Third....the master volume doesn't even produce sound for the first quarter or so of a turn. Super annoying as I like hearing myself talk so I'm not shouting at night (live in an upstairs apt) . Oh yeah...and the mic mute light is backwards...it's on when the mic is on, but off when the mic is turned off. How did MS make this blatant of a mistake? Super odd. Debating on keeping them, hope they have an update to address the issues I mentioned. Great vid!
I have mine connected to my Razer Blade Pro 17, one thing to note with these which is a limitation of the accessories app on windows 10 is that the headset has to be plugged in via USB-A to USB-C cable to the windows 10 PC to adjust any of the settings, a poor inclusion is that the supplied cable is way too short to wear the headset whilst configuring so a separate purchase of a longer USB cable is needed. Reviewers like yourselves who get these items early need to review these products fully and to inform Microsoft of the extremely short cable and its limitations on windows 10. Its quite clear on the box and in the marketing that this headset is also for use with windows 10 but they need to include a longer cable for PC users. Apart from this these are fantastic sounding headphones and don't need a overly cluttered software package to use its features, its seamless connecting on windows and has never disconnected at all, shame its not using BT5.0 though. All in all a massive recommend from me for PC gamers
If you didn’t know you can get Spotify on your Xbox and you will be able to listen to music and the game at the same time through your Xbox, so you don’t have to connect them to your phone to listen to music

i got these delivered to my house yesterday and I was actually surprised because their past mics they did were not decent ones but these ones are great best headset I have got and has great audio and supports Dolby Atmos great price in my opinion I think these are better than some Steelseries headsets
The game/party chat volume would actually come in handy. if your the last one on your squad and your friends are screaming and talking just turn the volume the other way.

Compared to the Wireless Beats Solo 3 Headphones I own now, I'd definitely walk around with the Xbox Wireless headphones instead.

Got these from BB as well (I work there and preordered them). Was super stoked as I have the worst luck with headsets not fitting all my wants and needs. I have a big dome, want mic monitoring and bluetooth connectivity. These initially were too tight of a fit on the top of my head. I wore them again tonight and thought I had them all the way stretched out but I was wrong, there was more le-way. Not sure what happened there but now the fit is better. Bluetooth works although it'd be awesome to have play/pause next/prev track buttons. My biggest gripes? Too much bass. I adjusted the EQ and got them where I wanted them, but from the factory: wayyyy too strong. 2nd: MIC MONITORING SUCKS. Seriously, it's non existent, even at high in the settings. Third....the master volume doesn't even produce sound for the first quarter or so of a turn. Super annoying as I like hearing myself talk so I'm not shouting at night (live in an upstairs apt) . Oh yeah...and the mic mute light is backwards...it's on when the mic is on, but off when the mic is turned off. How did MS make this blatant of a mistake? Super odd. Debating on keeping them, hope they have an update to address the issues I mentioned. Great vid!
I have mine connected to my Razer Blade Pro 17, one thing to note with these which is a limitation of the accessories app on windows 10 is that the headset has to be plugged in via USB-A to USB-C cable to the windows 10 PC to adjust any of the settings, a poor inclusion is that the supplied cable is way too short to wear the headset whilst configuring so a separate purchase of a longer USB cable is needed. Reviewers like yourselves who get these items early need to review these products fully and to inform Microsoft of the extremely short cable and its limitations on windows 10. Its quite clear on the box and in the marketing that this headset is also for use with windows 10 but they need to include a longer cable for PC users. Apart from this these are fantastic sounding headphones and don't need a overly cluttered software package to use its features, its seamless connecting on windows and has never disconnected at all, shame its not using BT5.0 though. All in all a massive recommend from me for PC gamers
If you didn’t know you can get Spotify on your Xbox and you will be able to listen to music and the game at the same time through your Xbox, so you don’t have to connect them to your phone to listen to music
Yeah and you can get Discord on Xbox and talk to people directly through it.

Timothy Attanasio you go to the normal store on Xbox (the one you buy your games on) and Search “Discord”. Discord itself isn’t gonna pop up but this other version of it (I forgot what it’s called) shows up. Download that

i got these delivered to my house yesterday and I was actually surprised because their past mics they did were not decent ones but these ones are great best headset I have got and has great audio and supports Dolby Atmos great price in my opinion I think these are better than some Steelseries headsets

Don’t forget about the Dolby and DTS-that made the sound exponentially better once I got access to those features (=paid for them)
The game/party chat volume would actually come in handy. if your the last one on your squad and your friends are screaming and talking just turn the volume the other way.
Maybe a bit late to the party, but i just picked this one up and i am impressed so far, using it for two days now

Yooo that stand is Dope! I got my Xbox wireless headset yesterday.... I like them. They're definitely worth the $100.
You have to press sync button on headset first. Never had to wait longer than 3 sec on either headphones or controller.
