- Light is one of the first things people notice about a design - whether they realize it or not. The new Lumion 2023 render engine combines rasterization with ray tracing techniques to give you greater control over your light, shadows, and reflections. In this tutorial you'll discover how the new ray tracing effect in Lumion works.

Great explanation - very exciting and impressive this new version of Lumion, many thanks
I miss you dude. Always love your tutorials
Thank you for clear explanation!!
One question: What does it mean that behind you in background panel with 'BD' pattern?
can animated objects now be shown on the reflection using ray trace?
this is what i've been waiting for, i've never even rendered RT in other rendering engines because i'm already comfortable with lumion, thanks lumion
All other engines do RT by default, because they're rendering engines, not a "game" engine
@@xRaptorScreamx but hard to understand
can we use ray tracing for the facade, exterior renders?
Great explanation.. can gtx graphic card run this feature?
Does Lumion use RT core and Tensor or RT core only?
Will it be possible to use the new features with the student license?
I don't see any ray traced reflection in glass material, is that normal ?
What GPUs are needed to use Ray Tracing?
the RT lighting is awesome, but it blocks the reflection tool and the reflections I am getting from RT are terrible. Any thoughts on how to get crips reflections especially in a mirror ?
I've been having the same issue, some of the reflections are perfect and others I've noticed particularly with trees the reflections are chunky almost like they're not being rendered.
@@spyvspy2437 thats because their ray tracing still not 100% developed, so they still have work to do
@@rennycepeda6576 yeah I’ve been hearing that now, truly unfortunate. Guess we’ll have to wait.
@@rennycepeda6576 that dissapointing, a case of setting a deadline and not meeting expectation. I hope they fix it quickly. Also the preview for Raytracing is basically worthless
I also rendered a shot 4 sec animation using ray tracing. It had flickers of light all over the place. Strictly for stills and no mirrors at this stage
3ds max for livesync please
great
Why is this labeled as "experimental feature"
Does this mean it's not fully optimized and is not taking full advantage of RT technology....
2 things that they didn't say: 1-There is No raytraced reflection in glass material (Not yet?). 2-Vegetation isn't reflected in raytraced reflection (not yet?)... Now tell me how to work in a mall with lot of glass and vegetation.. 😅
after a lot of years with Lumion... we are moving to TM... so sad about Lumion
c ya...
@@DownwiththeTowerexJW.... Wow kids must be sleeping, it's too late. Go sleep little kid
Same
Laughs in unreal engine 5.1
I've did the same for more than a year now.. Nevertheless, i will Lumion 23 a try
Goodbye lumion
just bad ray tracing
Raytracing sucks , its creates blotches , and very bad renders , with dark shadows , even on RTX 4090 not worth it
