❤ Much love, brother! ❤️ Thank you for all, that you do. You do a lot for the community, and we appreciate it! Will be great, if you can help with connecting Octatrack and Bitwig, if this is possible, of course
Very nice trick using the transports, didn't know they could do that :). The phase problem has an easy fix though. The transport modules do sync, but they require the play state to change at least once to link up.
@@konskift it's not necessary to do that, once they're synced they stay synced. Of course you might not want them to play when the transport is stopped :)
phases of Transport modules can get offset (if you duplicate module or apply any setting changes) when transport is stopped and you allow them to free-run. when you use Grid's phase, it's gonna be same for all modules using it, even if it goes free-run.
this tutorial reminds me another one, but i dont find it back ...where the guy kind of comput different triggers divisions and smpl&holds to make rytmic patterns...but i dont remember exactly how it was connected together! but it was cool!! like Orca if you know? several beat divisions combined makes a third one...
Neat video! I’m an amateur so I’m still a little unclear on polyrhythm vs. polymeter. But I do like the interesting cadence. Is there a way to get a similar result without the note grid? Maybe using note repeat on Euclidean?
I had a lot of trouble with this transport module untill i finally figured out that the phase didnt allign if you drop a new one. Btw you could use a value and modulate the nr of steps in the inspector and the division of the transport to quickly change steps ?
yes thats possible. but then you loose the units with the modulators (steps -> percentage) and i think you dont see, visually, the change of the pattern length.
but are they synced to the start event or to the real playhead position? You usually want to time it with the arranger/transport phase i guess. so when you start offbeat you can be off-sync with the rest of the track i guess? havent tested it.
Thanks for the shout out, happy to give something back after all I've learned from you over the years!

Uncheck the 'free-run when stopped' in the inspector for the 'transport' modules. then they will be synchronized on DAW transport start.

yes, in todays video! ua-cam.com/video/-1c26z_Xvbs/v-deo.html
unrelated but it would be cool to see you tackle something like Whoosh on the grid

The out of sync thing looks like a bug, I'm still on v4 and I've never had that issue with the transport node.
But now I realise, as @konskift mentioned on another comment, that I always set them to not play on transport stopped

Poly time signature lol
GENIAL

Ooo 😅
You were not wrong. You were simply factually liquid.
