just got another great flight deal to Vegas next month...another tip is to get your tickets a month in advance...also I agree with the whole carry-on thing...I travelled twice for 5 days each and 1 carry on and 1 personal item (aka my backpack) is enough to last me the whole 5 day trip without having to worry about check-in bag headaches
Another rule is get an aisle seat. You have somewhere to stretch your legs and an easier time using the bathroom/getting to your bag packed in the overhead.
