A good way to make sure you keep your mind in the task at hand. Is to mute your tv. You can become distracted by what’s going on in the video your watching
I believe I have said it once before but man especially for how semi sorta newish to the guntuber community you guys are man yer content is top notch love you guys and keep that shit up
I almost skipped this video because of my experience with the Mantis Blackbeard (three Blackbeard's and 3 months later, I never got it to work for me), but after watching the video in it's entirety, you deserve a like and subscribe. As an experienced shooterI found your information to be highly informative for shooters at all levels. I would have liked to see you cover the benefits of a .22LR conversion bolt. For those who don't have the time or money for classes, I would suggest looking for local competitive shooting events. The lessons learned from competition will great reduce the the learning curve and simultaneously give you the practice that you need to familiarize yourself with your gear. Oh, don't forget the cardio.
Conversion kit or a .22 LR upper. I just got a Nordic upper. I kust jad a mantis blackbeard stop working before the first full charge ran out. They are honoring the replacement, but not happy that am waiting again. .22 LR, airsoft, dryfiring.
This video is gonna be my guide for my first training with my first gun, a ar15. Proud to be a recently naturalized American and will soon be joining our Air Force :)
Yessssssss! Working from home this past 6 months has allowed me to dry fire WAY more than I did in the past. Not a substitute for live fire, but I'm so glad you guys are putting out structured content on the subject.
I practice my draw, mag change, and do dry fire practice daily at the end of my exercise routine so I have my heart rate maxed as well and it's definitely improved my shooting.
Crazy that I asked them to this video on instagram and they actually did. Just goes to show their dedication to their fan base and what we want to see. Thank you guys been waiting for this!
For the mantis, I like the green laser version so you can differentiate between the red dot and laser. And it's awesome to show you your height over bore at close range
you know there is a type of Airsoft gun called a GBBR (Gas BlowBack Rifle) and is kinda like between Unit 4 and your normal airsoft aeg, these gas guns use an internal canister within the magazine that upon trigger-pull releases the prefilled bottled gas via a series of valves to propel the bb and generate a blowback, which simulates recoil and cyclically loads the next shot
Exactly. And based on its operating principle, you can use it to train emergency reload, malfunction drill or even change the trigger press. In our country, some of active duty soldiers use GBB to simulate firearms, and do a lot of shooting drill, just Improve ourself.
At first I didn’t realize that I was training or putting in reps or utilizing some technique to become more proficient. I thought I was just playing with my guns lol. But I guess all the dry firing and “playing” with my guns really helped me to get comfortable and familiar with my guns and I built that muscle memory. It actually was really useful because some people I know that own guns aren’t that comfortable with them and aren’t as efficient drawing from a cc holster for example. So just handling and dry firing all the time helps a lot
Dry fire is a huge tool for everyone. That’s why competition shooters do it because it works and are reps that only cost time. And if you own a safe put all live ammo in the safe and lock it then dry fire to avoid a ND
Those LMT Unit4 Carbines are absurdly expensive to feed. If it was just 1,000 dollars to buy and then ammunition and magazines were standard firearm prices, it'd be really great, but unfortunately, that thing is priced out of reach for the common man
Just wanted to say, using the term muscle memory is fine. Everyone knows muscles don’t have memory. What we’re doing is creating a repeatable action response to familiar stimuli. A neurological pathway. AKA muscle memory. ☺️
First and foremost, this is a phenomenal video. If i can say anything, and i know some will disregard me no matter what because my channel has airsoft related content, but slamming the gun back into the holster (especially without looking) is a safety hazard. Ive just seen several instances of rapidly reholstering sometimes a loaded pistol on your videos when finished with a drill. Theres no race to put the gun away. Overall time ends with the last shot fired. Look the pistol back to its home and take a second to make sure the garment or other items havent obstructed the holster. Lots of folks watch your videos, and they should, theyre excellent. But the gun fu reholster is a bad habit overall. No hate, just an observation. Keep up the good stuff!
Great video! In my opinion, re-holstering is the most dangerous thing we do on the range. "Looking" the gun into the holster is so important. We should not feel like we have to re-holster quickly without looking. Slowly and deliberately put your gun away. Thanks for the great content!
I repurposed my AR500 steal armor I bought in like 2015ish into my dryfire target. Probably the best use for it. I also bring out airsoft guns for my non gun friends whenever I bring them out for range days since they can use it for a gun safety refresher I typically put them through that still has "consequences" and very noticeable feedback if they mess up. Ie they ND an airsoft bb
Good video and obviously an experienced shooter! But man you holstered that Glock so quickly into your appendix rig… no need to holster that fast and risk the dick shot. That’s something I still do slowly and deliberately JIC. I can’t think of too many situations where I need a less than 1 second reholster
I noticed on your presentation you don’t extend your arms all the way out. You keep a pretty generous break in your elbows. Do you find this to be helpful? I feel like this would not be as good for recoil management compared to full presentation/full extension. I’ve had a plateau in my shooting and trying different things out. Appreciate any feedback.
First, if I am spending $1,000 on a tool to avoid getting ammo, I would much rather spend it on the ammo. Second, the notion that I can't tell accuracy by doing dry fire is simply false, I can absoluting tell where my dot goes when I break through the trigger wall. Third Airsoft guns are NOT firearms, please don't call them as such.
Amanzing tips, but here im Brazil, we have a great guy, teaching about self defense, and he uses a t-shirt in their targets, because is near a real combat situation... try to do. Tanks a lot from Brazil.
I would highly recommend Glock airsoft guns for training...it is really nice for weapons handling skills, and drills. The triggers are not 1 to 1 but real close. Also pointing in unsafe directions has no danger, as long as you respect the airsoft gun, as if it's the real steel.
biggest question that I think that no one is asking is does mantisX systems store any data and upload it elsehwere? does it report the the data to lawn enforcement and any agencies whose intention is to investigate gather intel for the Big guy in the sky?
Dry-firing should never be done in the home, unless one wants to become a member of the dreaded "HOLE IN THE WALL GANG"! Guns should not be played with in the house. Seriously dry-fire outside with a solid backstop. That way when you forget that you have reloaded the gun you will not shoot something you wish you did not.
Dry firing at Garand Thumb on the tv killed me 😂 well done

Idk if it was intentional but the core vision logo 👌 0:22
Ha, that’s rad, wasn’t intentional but I’ll take it. I didn’t even see that😂
@@NicholasJonesCreative thought it was a throw back to joshes time with core. Anyways great work always excited to see your guys videos. 🤙
@@firstimeshooter6590 thanks man, we appreciate it!
I’ve never heard of unit 4. That’s so cool
Shooting at Charlie had me crying 😂
Great content!!
Where you dry firing at flannel daddy 😂 @ 5:00
Because we love him and the crew! :)
What’s your multicam jacket? That’s sick
10:07 - Correct identification of the main character.
You can get a gbbr for 400 bucks instead of 1000...
But why are you shooting poor micah :(
Why is Charlie the bad guy?

Charles is 100% the main character of garand thumb, you are totally right.
Dude i remember your dry fire vids on IG. Legit made me take dry fire much more serious. Just wanted to say thank you for inspiring me to do better!
That’s got to be one the the funniest intro’s to a video ever😂

9:43 looking a little like Lucas Botkin, not that it’s a bad thing lol
Man, I just don't see it hahaha

Off Brand Lucas Botkin lol but still very nice!
I really like your videos. The production, content and humour is spot on.
Much appreciated!
Don't you dry fire at dr Charles from the Snoring Dora Institute 😳

Good rep on holstering a slide locked empty pistol in the intro
😂

I love in the sponsorship shout out, the duplicate wearing multi cam just stares at the camera like “he’s trying please be patient”😂

$100 for a glorified Catchphrase beeper? Am I missing something?
When training at home, it is very important that you make the PEW PEW noise with your voice. Otherwise, how will you know it's working. 😂😂
Dang bro your shooting Mr. Thumb😢
Keep up the content I love your guys's videos
Great training content. Awesome ideas, I am going to use them. Thank you fellow patriot. Keep making videos love em.

Dropping a like simply for the FJ cruiser
Do you do any videos with GarandThumb? Nice moves. Lol

Going to get an injured man you should have hopped in the truck. 1 mile by foot 5 by car.
Akimbo Josh
Where are all these ranges where you can run, go prone, draw and mag dump.. seriously, in TX where TF are they?!?
crossman also has GBBR and has an AK and AR version half the cost of the last gun. shoots metal bbs or 4.5 airsoft bbs.
biggest question that I think that no one is asking is does mantisX systems store any data and upload it elsehwere? does it report the the data to lawn enforcement and any agencies whose intention is to investigate gather intel for the Big guy in the sky?
I've owned my Black Beard for almost 2 years. Absolutely love it
Where’s the best place to buy realistic Milsim airsoft gun?
Whos your sponsor? I don't see a link in description and it sounds like they're called whiners?
Death grip pistol when dry firing.
So easy to get loose grip when not dealing with recoil.
$1000 for an air soft gun to train for something that civilians are never gonna need to do? You guys got money.
Drew’s face….priceless.
Very good video. Way to go y’all
These videos are pretty amazing, great work
Wideners doesnt have .257 roberts oddly enough
Use an Airsoft gun instead of your actual carry.
Im about to get dirty civilian tatted on me 😂 you guys are doing a phenomenal job with these videos
So thankful I found this channel, you guys are the real deal 🙏
If you had a gas blow back airsoft gun it would add recoil also
Do I also need the Lucas Botkin haircut to be a good shooter?
Dammmmn gonna do grandthumb like that 😂😂😂
"didn't get it" XD that's happened a few times when my buddies and I have gone out to the range! These intros get better and more relatable each video
Fire intro
What was the shot timer..can you share the link
Thoughts on 22lr conversion?
would dry firing be any different if it was done with finger guns?
What ear protection are you using?
Dry firing at garand thumb lol
What multicam jacket is that?
It’s awesome that these videos you guys make are for us that feel like we suck and get us to get better love this community
Why did you aim at Charlie bro :(
Wait... there's two of them???
Solid advice and that intro was fantastic 🤣
my range does not allow anything other than 1 shot per sec, standing sitting on bench and no from holster firing
there is still benefit to be had but usially for accuracy reasons
YOU JUST SHOT CHARLIE!!!
Lol he must be on cod alot 😂
love how intense that got lmao
Could you make a video on best clothes to wear with an appendix holster. Showing different outfits for summer winter spring and fall 🍁 thanks
Poor Charlie :(
