Ardent Remainer Hugh Grant has said that Britain is "finished" after Brexit. When asked about if everything has settled down since the December election the actor turned political activist said “No, it’s a catastrophe”. With only a matter of days until we leave the EU, is there a new dawn on the horizon or is Britain "finished"?

It’s not just Leavers who voted to leave, Remain mp’s also voted in favour of having a referendum in the first place. So, Remain supporting MP’s thought it was safe to let the people decide, until the result didn’t go their way.

@@stevendurrant1724 Which is what you end up with when the mp’s on the losing side decide to try and block every attempt to allow the peoples choice to prevail. It has never happened before that the losing side in any election (or referendum) went to the polling station and didn’t accept the result. Democratically elected Anna Soubry encouraged “the people” to stop Britain leaving the EU. What kind of message is that, to go to the polling station, vote, then tell voters not too accept the result. That sort of message encouraged the EU to play hardball, thinking if they made things awkward enough, they could blame all the problems on Brexit and that’s what happened.
