The craziest thing about his whole career is that in 2020 he was actually playing in top 4 LEC level. Players like Larssen, Humanoid and Nemesis are the reason teams in EU went a bit overoard with taking chances with rookies to get the bag when selling them instead of trying to compete. This leads to the same good teams trying to win and taking the absolute guaranteed best players and the worse teams only trying to find the next Caps/Humanoid to sell. This leaves players like Febiven and Jiizuke (even Nisqy) without spots on any rosters because the teams are not willing to splash out and actually try to go for it. And that is the biggest problem with franchising: It's not worth to sign a good team that could maybe be the best, it's much better to sign 2-4 ERL players, hope one of them hits and sell them to the good teams.
@@mathieul4303 he was the mvp and best mid in lvp sl this split? he is for sure better than at least 30% (Dajor, Nuclearint & sertuss) of mids in the league ?XD

Hey man I love what you are doing here and hope that you continue to do it. I love the documentary type style, however I would love to see more of Febivan's game play and/or him rather than you talking into the camera. The documentary is about Febivan after all (and that's why I clicked on the video). Again, much love, and keep these types of docus coming, definitely a growth opportunity in eSports journalism.
One thing I remember from him, I forget when it happened, but you can hear their coms and he said he was TP'ing to bot without realizing he didn't actually have TP as a summoner xD
For me personally Febiven is really important part of EU Mids legacy (I’m Fnatic fan) and I still remember some of his iconic plays. It’s also true that he earned my respect and recognition years ago BUT when you earn respect you have to defend it. What I mean is that I saw too many shots with Febiven’s negative attitude and losing control e.g. vs Baus. That’s why I kinda lost good opinion on him and he is just a player that used to be FNC midlaner, but not some legend like Xpeke
A couple points regarding the gamsu/spirit/feb/rekkles/klaj roster -- 1. Spirit WAS a notable player coming into fnatic, playing for both Samsung and World Elite. 2. Klaj is pronounced "klai" 3. That team was a disaster EXCEPT for IEM Katowice, where they finished 2nd, losing in finals to SKT. Their run was incredible as they took down a thrilling CLG (in their post DL era), QiaoGu (led by Doinb who we all know), and RNG (with xiaohu and Ming!) It was crazy to see them play so well, in an alternate world that team could've really made waves. Great video though, love highlighting these forgotten players and lol history in general
I really enjoyed Febiven playing, all the Time - I Followed his career, since I Started in 2015 watching LCS & worlds. It was always sad to see that his teams never had that synergy then the Fnatic line up. Same as the Teams of Power of Evil always decreased in Quality over time and always felt a lit bit of lake of professionalty except UOL.:)
There is more than 2 teams to get a perfect season, world champions SKT went undefeated in OGN winter 2014 being the first team to ever do so arguably against the toughest competition.
The scene is actually sad and all about the owners profiting and making money off selling their players and keeping a few "lucky" players who can stay and represent the team or make more money for their owners. It's fucking sad and it's probably the worst part of the entire scene. I However, on the other hand, on a positive note, rookies can get a chance playing for a top team even if it's on a small wage. For example, Febiven was probably also a rookie at one stage, and endured being paid peanuts or trialled in his first year, and he definitely showed his worth and value. However, after being sold he was awarded his cash (money grab) in the U.S. Even if his team underperformed, he still earned more money. Being placed into teams that don't have cohesion is definitely difficult and you will struggle, but you can always learn something about building a strong and capable team by educating yourself in psychology or team management or through group bonding activities. At the end, there are no excuses and everything that ends as it is is fate. Perhaps he had a few strong years and then x happened or y happened or z happened, but how much of that could have been prevented? After that, it's difficult to return to a more competitive scene. Either he can accept a lower pay in a lower EU team and help try to build and develop it, or he can simply stream. In those notes he wrote it seems to me as if he has soke regrets not taking his game to the level that he wanted. He needed it to be at 110% to achieve the greatness he desired. I'm a big fan of Febiven and I also remember when he made it to MSI and Worlds and was cheering him on. I never realized how young he was at the time which also makes his early career so much more remarkable. Go Febi!
So you talked about Huni and Reignover when they were coming in Fnatic 2015, saying they weren't really proven. Huni was not, however Reignover played in OGN already before coming to Fnatic and even was known as Gameover because of his performance up until then. Secondly in 2016 you talked about Gamsu and Spirit, Gamsu wasn't really notable. Spirit however definitely was, how can forget Samsung Blue or his insane performance on a struggling WE? Besides that the video is fun and well done.
After he solokilled Faker back then, I never forgot him. He was really good and sad to see him lose love in the game and not play pro anymore but it came from him that little players give their 110% in EU but EU still expect to win worlds?? That is why it will never happen because they play cassually like literally only 2 games a week while LPL and LCK give their 120% amd plays more and 2 Bo5 per week. The gap won't close untill EU and NA changes their format and work ethic. Sad someone like febiven has to go.
The worst part about the 2019 Misfits in summer was how hard they fucked their Academy team (that literally won Eum the split before). So basically the original superteam played part of summer, then they started randomly subbing in Lider and Kirei, and only after like half or so of the split did they sub in the full Misfits Premiere roster (which was just btw a better team than the Rogue lineup that almost went to worlds that year). They actually did go on a massive winstreak and almost made it to playoffs even beating a lot of the top teams but the 'superteam' accumulated so many losses in the first half it didnt matter. Well it was obviously a shitshow... If you're going to sub in your academy roster commit and do it for the whole split, it just leaves a bad mark on their career even though it's not their fault. Ah and this Misfits was so poorly managed that they told Lider to stay on the team and guaranteed him his starting position, got Ronaldo who was a meh erl mid at the time, LET GO OF LIDER, RONALDO DIDNT EVEN GET TO PLAY A GAME, AND JUST SAT ON BENCH (DID I MENTION THE FACT THAT THEY ACTUALLY PAID A BUYOUT FOR HIM?!?!, iIrc something like 200k because he was on Fnatic acad and Fnatics buyouts are huge even for erls) and they ended up starting Febiven anyways in the end XDDDDD

If Febiven decide to stay committed to one team instead of switching left and right maybe he could of still be on a top stage right now. On behalf of Rogue if they had another midlaner they could actually surprise many on worlds scene.
I think Larssen is the key to Rogue success. He was succesfull without any of the current teammate. 2020 and last year it was Inspired and Hans praised, this year Odo, Trymbi, Malrang. Saying "build doesn't matter" was probably an exaggeration of the fact that if you don't make the correct decisions build won't help you shit.
