I think this was the most heartwarming interview. I don't know if its just the time we are living in now or if its just what i needed to hear. I feel like what they said resonated with me, WAWN is a comeback of retrospect. Every MooMoo can take each song on the album and relate to it in some way. Thats true artistry! Thank you Mamamoo for your youth, thank you Solar for your leadership, thank you Moonbyul for your vision, thank you Wheein for your artistry, and thank you Hwasa for your growth. Hearing Yongsun's struggle particularly now in her life is heartbreaking. It's something many people can relate to sadly where life just keeps going and you have to keep up emotionally and physically. The stress it causes alongside her roles as a leader, UA-camr and I'm sure many other things she manages, she is such a fighter. She's the best leader i've ever seen. Even with her own struggles, she still takes care of them and tries to make them smile. I hope that she'll be better soon and that with a break she can regain her strength. Solar FIGHTING!
That is definably very hard to deal with, but I feel UA-cam is her way to heal instead of it being "stress" because it is something she likes to do and looks up to (instead of it being work)

Hearing Solar say she's not doing well mentally honestly tugged at my heart so much... She's always doing so much for us, she's always been a source of great strength and happiness to us all, I just hope she is currently healing and taking the time she needs to recoup and that she knows we'll always be here for her.
This interview is beautiful. I love how they are honest talking about their hard times. It's not like they try to draw everything nice and perfect. They've always been very down to earth even if they (personally or as a group) made mistakes, they've known how to carry on. It seems like they learned how to embrace their weakness and strength as a whole. I'll been always thankful for have found an incredible group like this. I have madly respect for them.

I didn't expect their words to resonate with me. As someone who has a hard time expressing herself, I couldn't help but tear up when they mentioned how hard it is to open up especially around close friends and family.
The closer we are, the harder it seems to express what we truly think and desire. But as Moonbyul said, she hoped the four of them could reach out to each other more and learn how to rely more too. Because in the end, they've become a spiritual family 🐰🐹🐶🦁

There are a lot of sad words in the english language but I think one of the saddest phrase is "I've gotten used to it". In Solar's case, getting used to her busy schedule, getting used to receiving malicious comments, getting used to not getting enough rest and so on. Just because you've gotten used to it doesn't mean it gets easier. It's just so heart breaking to hear her say that.

Parts of this interview were so brutally honest and real. Human relationsships are messy and I really appreciate that they don't gloss over that. You don't get that very often, not in real live and especially not in the Kpop industry.
Maybe I'm interpreting it wrong, but it feels like Mamamoo might slowly be coming to an end (at least in the way the group worked in the last 7 years). If that is the case, it's sad but I think it is also really impressive how respectfull and honest it is done and how much the 4 women are in charge in the desicion on how to move forward.
So many Kpop groups just disband out of nowhere because of some scandal or dispute between company and artist. Or they just fade away without any closure.
I am certain that this fate will not happen to the Mamamoo members, no matter if they continue as Mamamoo or as individuals or both, they are here for the long term and thats really awesome :)

If I'm not wrong, they signed again for 7 years. I guess Wheein did it too, even though I heard she was still thinking about it. But even though Mamamoo might disband someday, the group's soul, their songs, their passion for music and also Moomoos won't end. There's a radish in all of us forever!
@@reenie6721 Yes, all of them did renew their contracs a few months ago*. I don't think they will "disband", it's more like the usual logic of how idol groups work and how they are managed by their company won't apply to them anymore.
Maybe it will be more like a loose group of solo artists who come together every now and then when they feel like it but who are able to do a lot of individual stuff besides Mamamoo. So Mamamoo will still be there just not the main focus in their lives anyomore. That's the vibe I'm getting from this interview and the WAW project in general.
Also, I have no idea, I can be completly wrong :)
The important take away for me is that it really looks like all 4 of them are in charge right now and that the company really respects and trusts them.

@@marci7492 Oh ok, I understand, I think it's great if they do solo stuff, that vibe isn't bad at all. They've been quite busy with solo stuff recently, between Wheein's solo album, Solar and her UA-cam channel, Hwasa being on TV shows and Moonbyul and her radio show. It's great that the company let them experience other stuff than just doing a comeback, promoting and then just disappear until the next comeback, they get to discover a lot of different things.
And yeah, the group and the company seems to trust each other, I think the CEO wouldn't let Solar do anything for her channel if they didn't trust her to be responsible lol I really hope she takes good care of her ^^
MB was so right. With family and close friends, we just end up assuming instead of talking about it. :(
This company needs to step up their game. Mamamoo has the highest potential to step on bigger stage.

hearing solar say she’s not doing well mentally hurts, I know from personal experience that if we don’t take care of what is going on in our hearts and minds anything we do next won’t satisfy us... I love that they all said that they regret not properly sharing their feelings together and expressing themselves. They all feel the same way in that regard and yet they still can't actually say it to each other lol. Things like that always make me think of those unspoken moments between them, like when Twit got first place and Solar and Hwasa just hugged eachother and cried without saying anything.
Sometimes you just want to organize an intervention for them where they can just talk haha.

Thank you for the English Subtitles. First of all, I was bawling throughout. What makes Mamamoo so special is they are relatable AF. But seeing Solar, made my heart sad. She is the reason I'm alive today, I'm not even kidding. Her voice and her music have become a safe space for me and I use it everyday to go to bed and wake up. For the first time ever I am actually physically healthy, Solar inspired me to keep going. I have leaned on Mamamoo especially Solar so much in this hard time, and she always brought a smile to my face. If I could stand by her, I would honestly try and take all of her worries away, but we all live individual lives and we can't take each others pain, but we can be there for people. I will we always there for Kim Yong-sun no matter what. Even if she doesn't work another single day of her life. I think all moomoos love Mamamoo so much that they would want the girls to be happy and healthy first. Even if we just keep watching the content the have given us for 7 whole years on repeat. Mamamoo has taken care of us, so please Solar, Moonbyul, Wheein and Hwasa please take care of yourself first, Moos will always be by your side no matter what ❤️❤️❤️

3주전인가 킬링보이스 보는데 다 한번씩 들어봤던 곡 같은데 I miss you 파트와 딩가딩가파트가 자꾸 맴돌고 확 끌리더군요 그러면서 최근 2주간 매일 킬링보이스 보면서 늦게나마 마마무의 무한매력에 빠져버렸습니다. 마침 신곡 Where are we now 가 나왔고 처음 듣는 순간부터 전율이 오더라구요. 그냥 들었어도 좋았을 노래인데 마마무에 대해 본격 관심 갖기 시작할때쯤 딱 만나는 신곡이라 더욱 좋더라구요. 저도 이제 마마무 팬입니다!

@@derprinzz2973 This has been a problem for a long time. Fans have always asked for subs but RBW is still incredibly inconsistent. Most subs provided are from fans, not an official translator.
@@derprinzz2973 we’ve emailed them about this at least once in our moomoo life, as CK meh said this has been a problem for a long time. Fanbases have tried everything but RBW just doesn’t listen. It’s (almost) always moos who provide the subs for the videos.

This actually was surprising to me (in a good way). I thought she did not renew here contract with RBW because it was too mentally exhausting and she needs more rest. But maybe she really felt that she had not enough opportunities to express herself and her solo activity gave her the strength to go the next step. I always thought that Hwasa would be the one going a different way. But when Byul thinks members don't know themselves enough, what chance do we have X-D

It's interesting to revisit this interview a few months later, in the context of seeing Red Velvets approach to their own 7 year anniversary, the upbeat tone of Queendom and the fun vibe of it all. Mamamoo went for a more reflective, melancholic, sentimental approach, not only in Where Are We Now, but even in promotional things like the live band performances and in this very raw, un-idol like interview with all it's openness and self reflecting. I'm new to KPop, but I haven't heard many idols speak this candidly about their current career the way these four are in this interview. I wonder if any other group really could...

오랜만에 되게 많은 생각이 들게 하는 인터뷰네요..
마마무의 노래랑 무대를 보면서 하루종일 감동받은적도있고,
개인적으로 힘든 시기였을때 마마무 영상을 보면서 웃음을 되찾은 적도 있어요.
거의 처음으로 노래를 듣고 울어본적도 있고,
마마무 콘서트를 가고, 방송들을 챙겨보고, 앨범을 기다리고 모으는
모든 과정들이 소중한 추억이고, '소중하다' 라는 표현보다 더 큰 표현이 있다면
그 표현을 쓰고싶을 만큼 다양한 감정들을 느낄 수 있는 시간들이었어요.
그래서 그런 시간들을 만들어주고,
내 청춘의 추억의 한 페이지를 장식해준 마마무가 너무 고마워요.
지금도 '넌 is 뭔들'을 들으면 그시절에 만났던 친구들과의 장난치던 기억들이 떠오르고,
'데칼코마니'를 들으면 마마무 따라해보겠다고 노래방가서
고래고래 소리지르면서 놀다가 메로나사먹고
친구 자취방에 놀러가서 라면끓여먹던 기억이 떠올라요.

짧다면 짧고 길다면 긴 시간동안 마마무를 좋아하는 감정이 너무나도 커져서 내가 쓴 단어 하나하나가 생채기를 내지 않을까 싶은 마음에 마음을 표현하는 것조차 망설였는데 멤버들이 감정을 덜 다치는 법을 배웠다는 말이 되게 슬프네요
이번 영상이 무대에서 유쾌하고 가수 본업에 충실한 모습이 아닌 마마무 자체, 자신이 걸어왔던 길에 대한 이야기라 유독 무무들에게도 마마무에게도 의미있는 영상이 될 것 같애요 앞으로도 몸, 마음 건강히 오래오래 활동했으면 좋겠어요

언니들이 무무들에게도 힘든걸 털어놓을 수 있는 존재 였으면 좋겠어요…감히 잘 알지도못하는데 개인적인 것까지 알고싶다 이런뜻이 아니라, 다는 아니여도 그냥 힘들때, 쉬고 싶을때, 이런점에서 고민이 많다 이런 것들.. 듣고 같이 소통하면서 힘주고 응원해주고 싶어요… 우리는 마마무는 정말 응원하는 사람들이예요… 그리고 생각 보다 마마무를 사랑하고 응원하는 사람들은 훨씬 더 많답니다. 그냥 인터뷰 영상보니까 공감도 되고 언니들이 그래도 지금 괜찮아지고 있는 건가 걱정도 되고 그러네요.
Showing vulnerability is often seen as a sign of weakness, so one tends to hide the feelings out of pride or not wanting to burden others with your own worries... But I think that Mamamoo showed immense inner strength by talking out loud about their own insecurities and how their dynamics between them hasn't always been perfect but they still care for each other and it's something we can all relate in many ways.
My wish for them is that in this new phase of their lives they make time to listen to each other a bit more and also:
Try not to assume things. Ask away.
Honor each other's words.
Keep doing what they do as best as possible.
Try not to take things too personal.

After all this years being moomoo, the only support I can give to them is stream all their music to all free platforms, I just can't afford to buy even one album from them.. Thats is my regret, nothing really worked out for me, but Stan for them is self reward for me, they just sending all the good vibes to me.. I just love them so much ❤️

solar always surprises me with solar's emotional depth - she says she doesnt think too much about certain things and that she is simple and i guess that is v true to what she says here about the fans being there for her - she sees it as it is and not a lot of people can do that.
I was surprised with Solar saying she's not feeling good. She needs to rest. She works too hard nonstop. I hope she's taking care of herself but that those around her don't neglect her wellbeing.
And Wheein saying she wants to be good in many things... I thought we made it clear we think she's the ace of kpop!
