  • Crystals such as diamonds are renowned for their vibrant colors and unique geometries. But to a chemist, their beauty transcends what we can see with the naked eye. With special equipment, they are like windows into the chemical world - allowing chemists to peer into the structures of molecules from which they are built. At the College of Chemistry, Prof. John Arnold and his team of “molecular designers” are using them to understand the reactivity of elements from across the periodic table. Join us on an inside look at how they unlock fresh revelations about chemistry, and the role crystals play in their discovery.
