Do you have a video about 2017 elantra oil filter housing replacement? Tried to replace sensor cracked housing don't know to much about if it can be fixed without replacing whole motor

Thank you for your videos. My 2012 Elantra (68k miles) has a six speed manual transmission. My car makes a clunking noise between gear shifts as I add power. Do you think that sounds like motor mounts?
It should be the easiest of all the mounts to replace. put car on jack stand and Jack the engine with a wood block to support the engine while you remove the bolts I believe there 14mn it should be 3 bolts and installing is the reverse of removing. Torque it to 36-47 ft lbs
@@faize28 2009 Touring 2.0L. The bracket for the rear mount will not allow it to drop in. Done in a home garage with the car up on ramps, the bracket has a slot that only allows the mount to be installed from the bottom-up into the bracket. The old one will exit easily because it is worn. The new one will not slide into the bracket without loosening the driver side engine mount and front engine mount t allow some height tilting up hinging on the the passenger mount. I was replacing them all. With the added height, twist and position the bracket as close as possible to enter between the bracket sides. Use a prybar to carefully open up the bracket sides while putting pressure on the mount to slide in between. The new mount is very stiff and will take several attempts.
Is there suppose to be space in between the mount and the part it sits on? Thats what brought me here because I thought my engine was pulling to the left.
If the mount is bad will it make a vibration in the car? In park and idle I have vibration...if I turn on heat or even hit the button for the windows I feel it a little more. Let me know your thoughts plz. Thx
I wonder how reliable elanta car is? Mine has 103 000 mi and till now I have replaced - transmission sensor/under warranty/, water pump recently, spark plugs, battery, brakes and rotors and two washers 49536-A5000-FFF. The car shakes when is in idle- still not fixed.

2011 Tucson 3 bolts snapped (3:25-yours shown two bolts) caused engine to drop down. What is the part called and part number for that? I would also need 3 bolts part # or sizes?
I changed both my CV axles on my 2012 Hyundai elantra at 114 K miles and it helped tremendously with the vibration problems. There's still a slight vibration with it idling. Anyone know if switching the transmission mount helps?
I have a 2013 Hyundai elantra coupe GS. The engine is shaking and I have a tick noise too. I changed the spark plugs the coils. I also changed the valve cover gasket and spark plug tube seals after noticing oil in my spark plug well. Well even after changing everything the engine shakes. I have yet to do an oil change since fixing everything. I need help.
Mine shakes a little going to change engine mounts see if that works. If you look at the engine mount and see cracks or the rubber isnt all there change it and see if that fixes it
Changing the engine mounts (both sides) works with the vibration and shaking. To change the engine mounts yourself will be very hard and I recommend you have a person with you. You will need an engine block remover or a lift support. If you have money I recommend you go take it in; if not, buy your parts from rockauto.com. As far as the ticking sound I haven't found out what causes it yet. I hope this helps someone. Good luck everyone.

DID YOU EVER FIGURE OUT WHY YOUR CAR WAS SHAKING OR VIBRATING STILL AFTER YOU DID THAT ,I HAVE A 2015 HYUNDAI ELANTRA 1.8L LIMITED, AND MY CAR WAS VIBRATING WHILE IT'S ON SPECIALY WHEN IT IS PARKED OR AT A STOP LIGHT .SO I DID A TOON UP ,AIR FILTERS ,SPARK PLUGS, OIL CHANGE TO FULL SYNTHETIC,CLEANED THE THROTTLE BODY,AND CLEANED THE MAS AIR FLOW SENSOR,AND I EVEN PUT A STP GAS TREATMENT WITH GOOD GAS, BUT NOW THE VIBRATION IS MUCH LOWER NOW,BUT IT STILL THERE,AND IT IS VERY IRRITATING KNOWING I DID ALL THAT THINKING IT WOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM.
Anyone know about the other mounts? I suspect an issue in the driver side one for mine lately, the All Data DIY shows where it is but I'm guessing it's somewhere way down cause I don't see it at the top haha
@@fiyinaregbe2740 It is actually pretty bad, I think something must be wrong but the motor mounts look fine. Read that if you put a jack under the motor and slightly raised the motor a bit and the vibration stops it's the motor mounts. Will give that a try.

Yes. The mount is hydraulic and shouldn't move easy. Another way to check is have someone to shift the car into reverse and watch the engine. If you see it move significantly (back and forth motion) the mount needs to be replaced. If you put it in drive and it does the same then it is definitely damaged. The life span on a mount is about 100k miles.
You can but you’ll have to change the engine ratio and probably get stronger parts to support the increased power. Might also want to check the health of your engine as well, but overall it’s possible.

Trans mount is located next by the cars battery
I use an engine crank hold the engine, so it would not drop, the large ring beside the alternator where you can hook on it.
Please do the video for front mount as well

Your correct there is 3 locations for the mounts 2 up top and one under the car by the transmission I suggest replacing all 3 at the same time
